Without any doubt one of the very best places to stay while on Kangaroo Island... superb location with amazing views, delicious meals and breakfast, very friendly staff... we stayed for 5 nights, and after every excursion we did, this was a wonderful place to come home to...absolutely the most important ingredient to make our holiday on KI unforgettable! The entire Island can be visited from this rather remote spot; it takes some driving, but then the drives themselves are always relaxing and scenic, so don't worry about that...

One of the best holidays we have ever had -3 days at the Sea Dragon paradise. There are so many positives including a beautiful room and great food. However the highlight was the wonderful hospitality provided by Karen and her team. We would have no hesitation in returning to Sea Dragon one day.

Sea Dragon is billed as a luxury resort but it needs a lot to get there.. it’s just a lot of little things which grate..inexperienced staff, limited breakfast setup, the cabins are ok but not luxurious, roads in the property need upgrading ect. Its location at one end of the island is a negative as you do a lot of driving to get to the other end of the island. We enjoyed it but the cost did not match our expectations of the level of our experience we had expected. It wasn’t bad but could be better

This is an incredibly beautiful place, located in a remote part of the island. My room had a spacious balcony with an amazing view, and was decorated with locally sourced materials giving it a lot of charm (Superior Ocean View Suite). Food & wine were absolutely great, with plenty of options for a vegetarian. A few points to note: - Book directly with the hotel to choose the optimal package/ tour dates. - Tours organised by the hotel are by far the best option if you do not have a car - there is a selection of them, check the website/ tour dates before you book to make the most of your stay. Full day nature tour highly recommended. - Transfers to/ from airport or ferry are mandatory, unless you arrive by car. - On a quieter day, take a walk to the nearby lighthouse (tours available as well), or go down to the beach (sandy close to the shore, but you may need waterproof shoes to go further). Last but not least - people make this place feel so lovely and warm, it is so much more than just “service is great”. Special thanks to Nicole and Karen - wishing you many happy guests, as I am sure they will be!

This is one of the best places we have ever been at. Marvelous rooms, excellent kitchen, breathtaking view, nice personnel, interesting organized tours with well prepared guides. Kanguroos, wallabies, birds, exciting wildlife in the neighborhood.

The hotel is located on the east side of the island. Lying isolated with a lovely view of the sea. The estate is full with kangaroos, who were greeting us in the mornings and at dusk. The rooms are tastefully furnished and clean. Half board was included with excellent continental breakfast and very good dinner. Great service as well. We participated in the organized tours/excursions to different parts of the island and the were also great.

After a short drive on pebble road, we arrived at a unique place at Kangaroo Island. Fantastic ocean view from every room or lodge and a very warm welcoming owner from Pfalz/Germany. We joined a wonderful tour to the scenic locations of the island (remarkable rocks, admirals Arch and Seal Bay). We drove with Brigit, who had great and entertaining stories to tell! The offered menu’s did not yet comply with the views, room design, service and caring service.

Really enjoyable stay at this quality location. We had Lodge 5 which overlooked the bay & beach - stunning. The kangaroos are plentiful on the estate and close by so “up close experience is simple”. The food and daily experience trips are also good quality and enable you to understand the island better. If you are heading to the island soon (Jan 24) head to the Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Oil Distillery as they have a “joey” in reception ready for a cuddle. The owners and team at this hotel have one main objective, to ensure all guests have a wonderful experience. They achieved this and some.
