The location is great just across the road from the beach but the manager needs to improve the website so it reflects what is actually available. The room was clean and we appreciated the ability to put our bags in before heading off to St Helens but it was downhill from there. There is no wi-fi, no BBQ facilities unless you count a dirty, rusted BBQ with no overhead or nearby lighting and the kitchen turned out to be just a microwave. When I complained they provided an electric bench top and a frypan. No wardrobes or hanging space and two pretty thin pillows. The Beer and Burger place was very popular with travellers but unfortunately we didn't get to try it.

Good food and embiance is frustratingly hard to find in this area. So we were really pleased to find this gem. Simply great burgers, heaps of different local beers, some quality music playing via a few well placed Sonos speakers and a pool table for some laughs. Thoroughly recommend this place to all age visitors.

Small mid century motel with bar and nice dining area. Great burger menu they dont really serve much else but the potential is there to up it and serve a few other healthy choices. Stayed in a queen room which had recently been refreshed grey white colours. Had good heating..lovely to wake up to the sound of surf. The place has lots of potential there were new owners so they havent had a chance to get into it yet. Need more coffee in room there was none actually. Tips - De-weeding the grounds and some nice seaside garden landscaping out front would help. Warm woody colours / carpet inside dining room. You can tell Im an interior designer.. Would recommend for a short stopover or a quick meal.

Delicious burgers. Friendly, welcoming staff. Beautiful outlook, clean and super family friendly. Very affordable and tasty kiddy options. The new management is nailing it. We will definitely be back.

Our family of 4 adults and 2 children enjoyed a meal here on 26th January, much to our joy, as this was a rare restaurant open for evening meals on this day on the east coast of Tassie. The staff were friendly and endlessly accommodating to our family group. After selecting our choices from the menu, our meals were presented very efficiently. The vegetarian in the family absolutely loved her vegie burger, which was a rarity, as she has often found many vegetarian options on a menu to be extremely disappointing. The crumbed fish (flathead) and chips for 2 of us were absolutely delicious, and our little one loved her chips. The 2 steak choices were excellent, and both diners decreed that they were the best steaks they had enjoyed in a long long time! Many thanks, Chef!
