Nice and close to all the activity in Canal Park. Fun to walk over bridge and see both sides of canal every day. Perfect for quick access to canal to watch shipping traffic. Owners where great to talk with and get some great history and information of the area. Love this place!!

This is a lovely boutique hotel - no long hallways, each outer entrance leads to three rooms. We stayed in a cheaper room overlooking the parking lot. No need to upgrade because you have full use of the grounds - outdoor fire pit, comfy Adirondack chairs, and access to the pier is steps away for watching the ships come in. The lobby always has homemade cookies, coffee, and tea during the day. Breakfast is delicious with a variety of pastries, bread from a local bakery for toasting, and a yogurt bar with all the fixings. The owners live just a few houses from the hotel and they were so welcoming. They have put many personal touches into this place that really make you feel pampered when you’re here. We will definitely be back!

I had requested a room with a large second floor balcony. and was promised that option. I got a first floor room with a small porch. The hotel said basically, take it or leave it, but in a more polite way. The hotel is right on the canal by the elevation bridge and across from the Maritime Museum of the Core of Engineers and very near lots of restaurants. BE AWARE THAT YOU MIGHT BE STAYING ON A DAY WHEN NO SHIPS PASS BY THE HOTEL. I saw a ship depart at 3:15 am and two that arrived and departed at noon-1 pm the next day. TO SEE SHIPS BEING LOADED WITH THEIR CARGO, you need to stay in a different part of Duluth.

Right on the canal next to the aerial lift bridge, perfect location for catching those barges coming into the harbor. Also, walking distance to all the fun in and around Canal Park. Friendly staff, clean rooms, and a cute little patio area with a fireplace. Would stay here again!

We enjoyed yet another visit here this week. This hotel is situated right by Duluth’s lift bridge and just across the canal from Canal Park. Very convenient to Vikre Distillery and to the shops and restaurants and Lake Walk. Very nice rooms. Comfortable furniture. Great shower. Spectacular views from our windows and balcony. Easy to use fireplace. Good breakfast - and nice snacks in the evening. Friendly, accessible, knowledgeable staff. Clean rooms - great housekeepers. Nice gardens and lawn and firepit and chairs. Good parking during our visit. Everything is great at this hotel!
