We had a wonderful time at this well organized resort on Sand Lake. The beach area was well designed and comfortable. The mega raft was fun. The location on the lake gave a nice view, but was protected enough to avoid strong wind. The beach was moderately weedy and had these snails that could cut tenderfeet like my own. The cabins were nice, though the aluminum siding on some of them wasn't too rustic. The lake had nice tree growth and was only 20% developed. The fishing was terrible, not just for us but for all boats. That may have been because the weather was intensely hot during our week. The owners were flexible and helpful. Overall solid resort.
We loved this resort. They have a beautiful sandy beach with a big trampoline, along with kayaks and stand-up boards, and plenty of lounge chairs at the beach. There's a nice lodge for rainy days, complete with games, TV, and snacks. We stayed in cabin 5 which is up on the hill overlooking the lake. It was comfortable inside and out, with a nice-sized screen porch and fire ring. It was chilly a couple of the nights we were there, so we were happy to make use of the gas fireplace. The owners are super nice and are constantly making improvements to keep their guests happy and comfortable.
My son and I have passed this resort on our last two fishing trips on in MN and finally were able to stay here. WHAT A GEM!!! Cute cabins, fun location, quite lake behind the resort, and friendly staff. The new owners were very nice... Great Place !!!!
