In general, our stay was wonderful. The space is tidy and well-kept. The only setback was that THE DENIED US OUR BREAKFAST. The morning after, the receptionist on duty informed us that it was not a part of our package. However, it was made quite clear when we reserved the hotel that we would be having breakfast. Since there were other guests present in the reception area, it was a little humiliating. We just had breakfast at a neighboring Jollibee because I didn't want to dispute with her about it. When we got back to our hotel, the receptionist said sorry and said we may eat breakfast there. Simply amusing and irritating given how humiliated we already felt.

The restaurant and bar is situated on the first floor with an excellent sea view. The menu was excellent and the food delicious . A very good selection of foreign food. They have a small bakery which makes the most delicious bread along with a variety of pies. I bought both to take home to Manila. Out of all the restaurants I have sampled in Barrio Barreto this is the best with selection of food, price and quality.

I am currently staying at Palm Tree resort and will be departing tomorrow. I have been a guest here about 6/7 times since they opened and I have never failed to be impressed with the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, the service and the food. I have also stayed at several other local hotels but always return to Palm Tree. The restaurant serves really good food and the Sunday traditional roast is first rate. The room I am in (203) has a comfortable king size bed, patio doors leading onto a patio that overlooks the small swimming and paddling pool below, and ice cold air con. Wi-Fi for the most part was good but occasionally was slow or would drop off. I did ask reception once if they could reboot their system, which they did and within about 5-minutes it was back on. The location is perfect, straight onto the beach at the rear and in the centre of the Barretto from the main exit. There is some building work being undertaken currently but this is at the front, near the main entrance and is almost complete (even the builders were very friendly, always a "good morning" or "hello" greeting). Overall a very enjoyable stay.

They treat locals and guests disrespectfully. Unreliable service and what they say is not necessarily what they will do. Lots of cockroaches in the pool and swarms of mosquitos. General feel of deterioration and neglect.

By international standards this is not a resort. The room was small and comfortable. Wi-Fi was not always available having to constantly switch between the various routers. The food was ok at best. The free breakfast was ok. They need to work on a better menu. They offer all this great stuff but experience has shown that Filipino chefs can't deliver stuff like Thai food. Tried to checkout using credit card and told their system was playing up. More like the desk clerk didn't know what to do. Able to arrange taxi/vehicle if required. Not happy with the bar and restaurant being up a steep flight of stairs, especially anyone with mobility issues.

I have just recently returned from Subic and I stayed here for 15 nights. Everything was very good, from the reception service before I arrived, to when i arrived, to the security, rooms, restaurant. I had the basic room, which was decent enough, nothing too fancy, but equipped enough for my needs to good tv, comfy bed, clean sheets and shower room. The hotel, whilst a little quiet - more to do with a quietish resort - was really nice, good service and very good food. Not a huge area to sunbathe, but that was ok, i found places to do that, and a decent pool, even if some is in the shade. The location of the hotel is quite central on the national highway, so easy walking/trike distance to aspects of the day/night life. Overall, i would recommend staying here.

I’ve travelled to many places in Asia, Europe, Caribbean, South and North America. I’m here in Zambales to visit family and friends. We stopped by here last night to have a sit down dinner and thought we’d give it a try to see if their food is as good as it looks on their outside banner. I ordered an appetizer, calamari was over cooked, tasted very salty and felt like I was chewing on a rubber. I also ordered a steamed lobster and it was over cooked. Should be soft and tender. It didn’t taste good at all. The salad that came with It was dry too. My friend and mother ordered a different lobster dish dish and it was very salty too! Every lobster dish was over priced and unfortunately do not taste good. My mother and friend ended up not eating their dish. I do not recommend the atmosphere either. There was a white man who asked for our SUV to be moved out and yelled at the parking attendant for not bothering us to cause a scene because we were having dinner. The white man said he would always park on the same spot each time he’d go to this place. We were also a customer and foreigner like himself. He expressed a very bad behavior to be a foreigner himself and foolishly took his anger out to the parking attendant for a non-sense space. I think this white man should go back to his own country and see if his own people would treat him right. A very disappointing place to be and terrible food. To the parking attendant, kudos to you for being calm and collected during your duty. I’m sorry that you have experienced such bad behavior from the white man. Overall, In my opinion, I would not recommend this place to any of my friends or family members.

Stayed here for two nights whilst touring Philippines and room was OK but dated. Food in restaurant was very good quality and amazing views over the sea. Can get a bit noisy with people returning to their rooms early hours. Close to bars and restaurants but little in way of tourist sites nearby.

It is a dirty place only for old drunks who chase prostitutes. If you are used to cleanliness or facilities that function, this is not a place to consider. Unfortunately, we booked online and did not even stay the night. A refund was not possible. Do not stay here unless you are an alcoholic who is fine to sleep in filth.
