This is a great place to stay in the gritty town of Menominee. We have stayed here two times a year for the past several years in East-west road trips. Freshly updated rooms. Bright and clean. Good bathrooms. Friendly staff. Pet friendly. Close.

My wife and I were looking for a quiet get away from the hustle and bustle of Minneapolis and busy schedules. We decided to take a 5-hour road trip to the small Upper Peninsula town of Menominee. We had our two small dogs with us and needed a hotel that would accommodate them. Since it was a couple's getaway it was nice to have options for room selection as well. Our pets were welcomed with open arms for a reasonable pet charge per night, and there was plenty of space to walk them around and even a small beach front to take them to. We chose a King Bed Suite with a jacuzzi tub which was not that much more than a regular King room or 2 Queen room which was great for us. The room was spacious, the bed comfortable and we had no complaints. The breakfast was a continental breakfast buffet that had the standard offerings one would expect, cereal, heat up breakfast sandwiches, yogurt, bagels, etc. The staff was very friendly, the hotel was clean and quiet. There was plenty of parking and it was a quick walk or drive to anywhere we wanted to go. We had a great experience overall!

Bed was very comfortable. Staff friendly. Stayed in a 1 bedroom 2 queen suite for 2 nights. Location and view of Lake Michigan was great. Overall just okay but disappointed with the quality of the room furniture. For a suite they could have added a comfortable chair or two for people to sit in addition to the "sofa". Instead, filled the room with 2 end tables, placed by the TV, with no purpose. The TV stand WAS a fireplace stand at one time, but the guts of the fireplace was missing and obvious. Sofa was in BAD shape, peeling vinyl and a large duct tape patch. Not okay for the suite price paid!! Very disappointing!

We made reservations for the Econo Lodge in Menominee via ReservationDesk.com. The lady on the phone knew we had pets and gave us a price. We booked the room and paid for in with a credit card. When we got to the hotel, they saw that we had pets. They charged my credit card an additional fee and slipped the invoice / receipt under our door. Neither complaints to ReservationDesk.com or the hotel management were responded to. They told us that they would repsond in 48-72 hours and it has been over a week and have heard nothing. I would not recommend either ReservationDesk.com or Econo Lodge.

The staff both when we checked in and in the morning were FABULOUS. Super friendly and helpful. We walked to a nearby restaurant for take-out for dinner and ate at one of the picnic tables that is behind the hotel on their deck overlooking Green Bay. It was GORGEOUS. We watched the ducks and geese swim and enjoyed a nice, leisurely dinner. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable. Unfortunately there was no coffee maker in our room, which was a surprise. (We live for our morning coffee!) But, the breakfast was good, not back at full force, it seemed, but better than some that are still only handing out granola bars and yogurt. We had seen on this site (as I recall) that there was a hot tub, but unless we are just totally blind, we did not see one on site.

Our main reason for selecting this hotel was that is was pet friendly and was on route toward our destination to see Pictured Rocks in Munising, MI. The hotel was clean, had a nice sitting area overlooking the bay, and a nice area for pets. We did not get or request a lake view room since we arrived late and were only there for one night. The breakfast was standard continental (juices, cereals, breads, packaged muffins). Overall, a basic room, but definitely clean.

I have stayed here roughly 4 times over the years and will stay again. My favorite thing is the view on the deck. It is on Lake Michigan and the spot is lovely. We like to arrive with take out food and have dinner on the picnic table.

OK, the hotel. The manger could not have been nicer. I must have stopped back to ask questions 4 times and he was friendly every time. We arrived late and he was still there in the morning to direct us to a great coffee shop 35th and coffee in the morning.

They do not have an elevator, but just two stories, so not bad. The room was large and comfortable. The bed was typical hotel bed with lots of pillows. The fridge is over-sized so everything from the cooler fit. The bathroom had the toilet behind the door so it hit when you went in, but the shower had a bowed bar making it roomier. Good water pressure too.

I didn't hear any outside noise.

Highly recommend.

Well Maintained place and clean also. Staff is friendly. You can choose a room on the side of the Lake and get a beautiful view. Booking was easy. Town is nice and peaceful and there are many waterfalls 30 minutes drive away for hiking.

Location, location, location ! Right on the water. Clean and comfortable rooms. Friendly and accommodating staff. Special shout out to Kathy who offered her own car to jump our truck when our battery died. Updated floors and great breakfast options. Request a room in the back if you want to be steps from the water. Highly recommend

We stayed at this property because it is right on Lake Michigan. This made for some excellent evening and morning views of the sunset and sunrise. Plum beautiful!
The rates were not out of line with the other chain in the area.
The hotel was squeaky clean and sanitized. The room was spotless. We had Bayside rooms with our own parking.
