Loved this classic motel! The owners were very welcoming when we arrived and when we were leaving Ron was telling us about updates that they would be making over the winter. The room was spacious and clean with a rustic theme. It has a nice flat screen, microwave and fridge. The beds were comfortable. We loved the 50s/60s style bathroom with the classic colored tiles. I wish I would have took a picture of our bathroom. It's tiny but very clean. We would definitely stay here again on a future trip to the U.P. and highly recommend that you do too!

My husband and I stayed for just a night in this cute motel on our way to Wisconsin. It was very clean and had all the amenities you need - microwave, fridge and coffee maker. The gentleman in the office was extremely welcoming and made sure our stay was perfect. Cute “up north” decor. The bathroom was very tiny and the seating was made of wood logs and not comfortable, but the bed was comfortable and that’s really all that mattered. Some shops and restaurants a few minutes down the road as well as places to pull over and watch the sunset over the water. Would definitely stay here again!

We chose the Holiday Hotel because of its proximity to Palms Book and Pictured Rocks and the strong ratings on TA. Innkeeper Ron and his wife lived up to the hype. the Holiday is decidedly old school, but has all the comforts of a “name” motel. Rooms were fully equipped with flat screen, mini fridge and microwave. The rooms were very clean and the bathrooms, recently updated. We met Ron in the morning (we checked in after their bedtime) and he was friendly and welcoming. Next time we are on the UP, the Holiday Motel will be our “go to.”

Two couples (sisters and hubs) stayed overnight on a trip to pictured rocks. Haven’t stayed in one of these classic styled motels in ?? a very long time….but when my sister called to check on availability, the owner was so welcoming and pleasant, we said, why not! We weren’t disappointed. The rooms have been updated and are extraordinarily clean (note: we travel with Clorox wipes and are merciless cleaners). Beds were comfortable and although the bathroom was modest, it too had been scrubbed, updated and sparkled. The property is directly across from a small airport ( no planes were seen or heard) and there is some highway noise. You can hear loud neighbors, but I travel with earplugs so no problem. I’ll trade a little bit of noise for cleanliness and welcoming hosts anytime.

Ron and his wife have recently completely remodeled the rooms in this motel. Even though it is an older style, the rooms have a coffee pot, flat screen TV, wood accents and lots of room to roam out on the back of the property. The rooms were very clean. Very small bathroom but functional. In the lobby there was fruit and coffee in the morning. Just down the road from Big Boy and other restaurants. Campfire pit. Convenient location to other tourist spots.

We spent one night here while visiting St Ignace. Our room was clean, reasonably quiet (we did here some traffic noise at night), and comfortable. Room was a good size for an older property. Manager was very friendly. We would stay here again.

We had an excellent stay. This room was large. The beds were comfortable and it was spotlessly clean. It’s about 3 miles past the center of town, but we found it was a superior, quiet location, and the hosts were very friendly and efficient. Would highly recommend and will definitely stay here again.

Nice, clean and well kept motel. Owner was very accommodating. Was encouraged to come sit at the campfire after dark. Also had corn-hole boards to use. Beds were clean and comfortable. Will definitely stay there, next time thru. Sits a little ways back off of US2. Helps lessen the traffic noise.

This hotel is a great stop on Route 2. The rooms appeared recently updated in terms of bedding and flooring. Sometimes road side stops are questionable but the owner could not have been more helpful. Our TV wasn’t working at first and he rebooted it quickly. The only thing that was a bit annoying was road noise, but that was not as prevalent after 10 pm. It was located close to town and the casino.
