Detailed Reviews
Obviously has changed ownership since my last visit 5 years ago. Owner made reservation in March, then when we arrived refused us our room because we had a service animal, even though they were informed of this when making the reservation. Place looks dirty and unkempt. Not sure it would even be sanitary enough for me and my service animal

If you see this place just keep driving by, the owner Sue is extremely rude. She has a bird statue on her front step that reads, Fatih, Hope & Love but her actions prove otherwise. There are plenty of other motels in the area, i would suggest staying elsewhere and not here.

Very pleasant owner.
This motel is set in the countryside
just east of town.
Nice albeit standard rooms. Free parking. Restaurants and bars are a short drive into Manistique.
We liked the Patriotic theme in room 3.

The owner was very nice. We stayed in room four and unlike the other reviewers our beds were not comfortable. The beds were saggy and we couldn’t sleep on them. The room was clean however, and would be a nice affordable stop with new mattresses. Maybe the beds are better in the other rooms.

We stopped by this motel when looking for accommodations for a weekend festival. Lovely, owner run motel. Our room was a tribute to Dale Earnhardt, from the bedding to the decor. The owner was a great person to talk to, and the service was exemplary. We know where we'll be staying whenever we're in the area.

We had planned on staying in Manistique for one night and stopped in to check out the Valley Motel on a whim. About a 5-7 minute drive into town from there, and even closer to the boardwalk. We loved it! Family owned and ran with great front desk service. So nice and accommodating! It's a very simple motel - no frills, more of an older style, but very clean and just right for a good night's rest. Comfy bed and pillows! We had a fridge and microwave, a/c, electric heat, a nice glider chair, cable and coffee in the room. Better than some of the more expensive hotels in Mackinaw City we've stayed at! We loved that our room had a theme. That just added to the charm. Felt like staying at a good friend's home as a kid! Less than $45 a night, we will definitely be back next time we're in the UP!
