Negatives: Sites were too close, WIFI password given for only 2 devices, internet intermittent, mayflies everywhere and couldn't have a fire. Positives: The bathrooms and showers were clean, quiet campground and easy access to water for kayaking, swimming and boating.

Traveling from Wisconsin to Mackinaw City, we needed a stop over in order to make a day trip to Pictured Rocks. This is a very nice campground with full hookups and access to Indian Lake. We made the circle by going to Grand Marais and then over to Munising, with several stops along the way to wade into Lake Superior and see the beautiful vistas. We did it all in about 6 hours and made it back to the campground around 3:30. Manistique is nearby with several good restaurants. We also played nine holes of golf at Indian Lake Golf Course and was pleased with the beautiful bent grass fairways and well maintained greens. Even had a couple of deer run across the fairways in front of us.

Advertises quite.3couples were up till 11:30 p.m. Drinking and, loud laughing, talking. Most campgrounds have "quite time" 10 p.m. Was awoken by several train whistles around 4:30 a.m. Advertises "free coffee" daily at 7:30 a.m. Went to get coffee at 7:40 a.m NONE! It is a beautiful campground. On the lake. Hot showers. Not any kids on this Friday night. Free wi fi. State campground-no wi-fi.

Very small park. Not much room. Store has few supplies. Seems they are going by their history rather than what exists today. Good for one night but would not stay longer. WiFi is very slow (4m download and .3m upload). Two digital TV stations (Olympics were on but not here). Several permanent residents. Ok on a pinch but would look around for something better.

We just stopped over nite and was excellent. Close to the interstate, pull through full hook-up site. The camp host couple was VERY accomodating and friendly, and their dog too. Right on the lake. A fairly small campground and lots of permanents there. VERY good value for the price.

We used this as a stopping point to go see Palm Book and Fayette (Garden Peninsula) on an RV trip. Not very good television reception. A nice sandy beach for kids, a dock and fishing. Campground is nice and neat, quiet. Many seasonal RVers. Didn't use any of the facilities as we were out each day. Rates are reasonable.

This is a small, quiet campground with lake views. As previously mentioned in other reviews, the sites are very close together. Ours was right on top of the area where most campers would sit, which felt awkward. We never sat outside our camper the whole time we were there.
When booking, you should inquire about the location of your site so it will not come as a surprise. The lake itself is fenced off though there is a walk down to a boat launch where dogs are not allowed. There is a trail that comes out right behind another camper for dog walking, but there is also a lot of trash back there. The bathhouse is basic and old but ok. There are also multitudes of harmless bugs about an inch long that attached to our camper and were also seen on the bathhouse door. The camp hosts are very nice and it is in a good location for visiting the area. We think there are a lot of “perms” there. For us though, it was a low 3 at best.

We stayed eight nights at the advertised Indian Lake Travel Resort: three stars are a stretch with very tight sites and very, very dusty roads causing us to keep the motorhome closed-up to breath; thank God for the rain. Parking for our tow vehicle was a challenge with no space at our site to park. We did not use the restrooms but we did use the wifi (when it was up) but very slow. Just as an observation, their road signs are very weathered and pretty much sums up what to expect.

We reserved a full hookup site for our small travel trailer which turned out to be very small. Our trailer is only 23 feet long and we barely had room to park our Jeep Cherokee. We originally booked a 7 night stay but were disappointed by a sewerage backup that occurred the 4th morning when another camper across the road dumped their grey and blacks tanks in preparation for leaving and the sewer hookup at our site overflowed under our camper, picnic table, and left an awful, stinky, unsanitary mess. We hadn't connected to the sewer at all, fortunately. The staff was very kind offering to move us to another site, but we opted to head to another resort instead. The people were very nice and friendly. However, due to the space concerns and the sewer issue, we won't be back. I had wondered why there were no photos available to see the camp sites on their web site. Now I know.

Room Tip: There are pull-through sites for ease of setup, but they are super close together.

We camped in a tent here one night and were pleased with the campsite. The resort is right on Indian Lake and you can rent kayaks and paddle boats to use on site, which was wonderful. The shower area was nice and large.
