Cabins are well supplied and thought out. Had a great time paddle boating, kayaking and fishing. A/C wifi and close to shopping and activities. Excellent communication with owner! We will definitely be back!

This resort is a great getaway that offers the same thing the big lake offers but with less crowds. The host has thought of everything you would ever need. The beach has kayaks, paddle boats, a trampoline, and huge water slide. You will always catch pan fish and if you catch

We spent a long weekend at this wonderful resort. Lynn was a great host. She made herself available to answer any questions we had. The cabins were very clean & well stocked. The beds were all very comfortable. All of the amenities at the resort were great. We especially liked

I went here with my boyfriend and dog and we stayed a whole week in a cozy little cabin. I actually packed a bunch of stuff just in case but when I got there all I brought in was my clothes and toiletries. Everything you could ever need is provided. There was even shampoo in

The resort boasts itself as an all sports lake. BEWARE. If your an avid boater than this POND is too small and the residents complain when you make waves. What's more, the lake is not adequately marked and we ended up losing our prop minutes after launching due to shallow

Response from LeachLakeFUN, Owner at Leach Lake Cabins & Resort

THIS IS IN RESPONSE TO 2 BAD REVIEWS FROM THE SAME FAMILY: It was a pleasure to see your large family enjoying the resort for the week. Hours and hours of swimming, boating, tubing and playing in the yard and beach areas. I was very sad to see such a negative review. Our first one in 5 years. In regards to your concerns, I offer the following: 1. I have contacted the Michigan Department of Natural Resources to request a shallow water sign at the public boat launch. They said that the new improvements to lengthening the concrete ramp allows for all boats under 35' in length to load and unload during the summer months and that the need for a sign is not something they will install. We would have been more than happy to assist you in repairing any damage. 2. In regards to the rules... we do have a 5 page Handbook, with one page of common issues that are listed in a "Do not do format....." This list is compromised of frequent issues that have lead to property damage and/or guest discomfort. Any guest with any common sense at all would not even need to read the rules as they are common sense. (ie. Do not have 10 people in a pedal boat - Do not stack wet towels in the hamper to rot all week - Do not clean the grills off with the nice quality kitchen towels...... This Do not do list is premised by an apology that we even needed to list these items out, but since doing so, we have eliminated 95% of the issues that we have had in the past. 3. Another person in your group also placed a negative review mentioning the rules and "MUCK" in the swimming area and that the lake is like a pond? We have a beautiful solid surface swim area. If you were in muck you were in areas that are not for swimming. We have over 300 feet of frontage, most of which is left natural as to keep the wildlife abound and the fish to bed near. The cattails and lilly pads are a wonderful part of the beauty of the lake. The lake is 108 acres and has plenty of areas for tubing and water sports. It is definitely unfortunate that we would have to list these common sense rules out for all the guests, but in order to enforce them, they have to be in writing. 4. In regards to the air conditioning: On Monday, a brand new central air system was installed. On Wednesday you contacted us to let us know that it was not working properly. We had a window unit installed for use over night. The HVAC company was there the next day and made the repair to the ac unit. So it was less than 24 hours and you were never without AC. The cabin only had a window unit until that Monday. The central AC was a new addition. I personally met you all that day while the repair was being made. You said you were having a great time and that you were all set. No mention of any issues at all. In enforcing the rules, we are compassionate. Your family arrived early, showed up with more guests than what were paid for, left the cabin a mess, broke two patio chairs, sat others too close to the fire so there are now burn holes in them and checked out late. All of which, you were not charged for and we never made mention of. In addition, several boating laws were broken during your stay as you were operating dangerously. We had to address this as we were contacted by the DNR. You were going way to close to the docks and private areas while boating and tubing. The large part of the lake is best for tubing, however, you were staying in the smaller areas for some reason. We have a process that we continue to improve upon each year and welcome suggestions by guests. We strive to make the resort a smooth running, relaxing and enjoyable time for our guests. We have hundreds of guests that come back year after you and love what it has to offer and I am deeply sorry that your family is not one of them. I loved all the great pics that were posted in Facebook while you were here and loved seeing you all enjoying yourselves all week.
