We arrived after a day of travel, ready to relax. After we checked in, we realized we had to carry our luggage across a large, dimly lit parking lot to find the outbuilding where our room was located. Despite requesting 1st floor, we were on the second floor, AND there was NO elevator. There was a strong smell of ... chlorine? ... in the hall. We opened the door to the room and were appalled! It should not have been rented until repairs are done. The carpet was ripped with staples pointing upward waiting to snag your foot, the toilet was not properly seated and rocked, there was something black in the tub, and the toilet paper holder was dangling from the wall. We tried to call the front desk, but the phone in the room didn't work. We walked back across the parking lot to report the damage ( the hotel puts a $50 hold on your credit card, and we did not want to be blamed). We were told the manager on duty was unavailable. The desk attendant promised to address the issue, but did nothing. We again let our feelings known in the morning and are waiting to see how management handles this. The room fee + tax was over $300 PLUS they charge a $20 "resort fee."

The staff are all very friendly and helpful. This review is strictly based on the hotel. The entrance isn’t covered when you come in, so if it’s raining you have no choice but to get wet while you bring in your luggage, or wait until it stops raining. We were told the room has a view of the harbor. It doesn’t. It’s of the parking lot. It’s a pretty room, but it’s small so you don’t want to stay in it. Very nice bathroom, but again, it’s not why you stay in a hotel. There is no coffee in the lobby. I wake up early, so I didn’t want to wake up my spouse by making it in the room. The only option for coffee before 7:30 is to walk a few blocks away. At 7:30 the coffee shop/diner across the street opens (great food and coffee and service). The pool is in a separate building. It has no lounge chairs, and it looks like a prison. It was heated when we arrived, but when we went to get in it wasn’t. The spa wasn’t working. We were told the pool was open, but it wasn’t. So we had to wait for the staff to come and unlock it. We opted not to stay because the pool wasn’t heated any more. It would have been creepy anyway because the hotel staffer was going to sit there while we were in the pool. The lobby is pretty and has comfortable sofas in front of a fireplace that you can see from another outdoor seating area as well. That’s all nice, but it isn’t like you want to hang out in the lobby all day. If you’re taking the ferry, it’s the closest accommodations. It also has free parking. The other building with the pool caught fire, so it’s not the prettiest site, but provided for interesting conversation. I debated between two and three stars, but in the end, it’s just not worth the money and I wouldn’t stay here again. If there was coffee in the lobby. and the pool and spa were operational I’d give it three stars.

While the location was ideal for catching a morning ferry, the hotel was a disappointment. Our room was in the back, with a view of the parking lot. The room was damp and musty -clearly hadn’t been aired out in ages. Staff was friendly. If you stay here, be sure to specify a newer room.

Have stayed here for last 3 years and place has gone downhill every year. Latest stay (8/25/22 - 8/28/22) ice machines were not working, pass key not working to get into building, pool area not well kept, hot tub water not hot! location is great but not worth price in current condition - needs someone to pay attention to details - so many other better kept choices - will not stay here again.

Let’s just say the cost to stay here is not worth it. Stayed at hotel and let me say that the hotel side hallways are extremely hot. The door entrance that grants you access to the building currently has a tape on door that can grant anyone access to building. Our room door does not close correctly. I practically have to slam it to close. We had a problem with our tv the repair guy came and noticed the door was not properly closing and stated he would put in a ticket. No one has showed up. I just feel like corporate does not give a damn as a friend is staying at the suites and has had multiple problems with her stay as well. See attached photos.

Room Tucked Away in the Corner, we chose the unit with the staircase, don't be fooled by the photos...this part of the Hotel is dated, deck is in rough shape. Nantucket memories will help us forget this Hotel.

I chose this location due to the close proximity to the Hy-Line Ferry, which is directly across the street. This was truly a blessing, as I was traveling with my (elderly) mother. Our room was ok, however, certainly not as depicted in photos shown on hotel website. Upon arrival, we found particles of glass on the bed and the floor. It appeared to have come from a broken light bulb. I took some of the pieces the front desk, who immediately notified maintenance to come and vacuum. I asked for another room, but was told they were sold out. Highlights of motel: Conveniently located directly across the street from ferry comfortable beds Disappointments:

Stayed at the sister hotel Ocean Street Inn. If you like ants in your room, especially the bathroom-stay here. If you like to come back to find the cleaning staff removed dirty towels and did not replace them- stay here. If you like to be ignored by the on premises manager-stay here. If you would like your car sprayed with an unknown substance causing it to be dirty and hopefully it is only dirt and it will come out-stay here. If you want to leave your room to walk to get new towels at 10 pm-stay here. If you like being ignored and then disrespected by the regional manager, Scott Alemany-stay here. I spoke with Mr. Alemany and before I could say hi and explain what happened he proceeded to be rude and nasty. He would never work for me being so disrespectful to a customer. If you want to be disrespected by the regional manager-definitely stay here.

I was so disappointed with my experience when I first arrived, and it cost me an entire afternoon which could've been used to enjoy Hyannis. Aside from an unpleasant encounter, the room that was assigned to me was so not worth what I prepaid, and I feel as though hotels sometimes do this with guests when they overbook. No one should have to pay for something they're not getting. The room was so dated and was only worth half the price. After a formal complaint to the concierge, the manager upgraded me to a suite in the main building and then I was able to enjoy my stay there. The one thing that this hotel has going for it is location. It was so convenient to be able to walk across the street and enjoy the Landing Cafe as well as board the ferries to go to the surrounding islands. I'd come back and stay for that reason alone.

We stayed here for a week in June 2022. Staff were less than helpful, fitness room was closed (now noted on the website) pool feels like a jail with the ugly fencing surrounding it, pool side restaurant was only open at weekends. Generally a disappointing experience. At checkout I asked for a copy of the bill before processing the payment against our card (almost $3000). The guy just smiled and said “too late” payment had been processed.
