We had a great first visit to the Cape and it won't be our last! It was also our first trip with our dogs and the Simmons Homestead Inn was the perfect choice. The facilities were great, large back yard for the dogs, and Bill was the perfect host. We enjoyed his breakfasts, wine hour, and Bill was always ready to help us plan our itinerary for the day. We'll definitely be back!

One of the main reasons we like having dogs stay here is that I miss my dogs and get a dog fix that way :-) But other main reason is that dogs that come here are well behaved BECAUSE the people that own them care about both dogs and people. I'm glad to have all of then back again and again :-) Bill

A fun and funky old place with loads of character, with no pretense of luxury. Could use some updated mattresses and pillows. Innkeeper was a charming host, with an amazing antique racing car collection.

My wife and I and our dog stayed here over Labor Day weekend. First time to the Cape and not sure what to expect. Bill and his staff clued us in on where we could take our pup and where we couldn't. Told us the best places to eat, visit, and explore. Bill cooks breakfast every morning - eggs, blueberry pancakes, sausage, fresh fruit, coffee and tea. Rooms are clean and comfortable. If you don't like cats, stay somewhere else as there are a bunch that roam the grounds. 40+ car collection that includes MGs, Triumphs, Jags, Lotus, Datsun, Audi. Even a Bentley and a Morgan. Will stay again if we go back to the Cape.

Glad the 3 of you had fun. AS to the cats, no reason to stay away from the Inn. They aren't allowed in the Inn, but do have rights to wander around. And I always had dogs before , but not hot on leash and other restrictions, so switched to orange cats. Would take them from the MSPCA when 3-6 weeks old so they could be raised as dogs. THey come when called and love being petted. Just orange dogs :-) Bill

Upon my return from a weekend in Hyannis, I received an email from the Inn, asking to send reviews to the Inn, TripAdvisor, Facebook. I initially emailed Bill at the Inn with my review, as I had been so disappointed with our stay there, and wanted to give him a chance to reply, and hopefully refund a portion of the $1600+ he charged me. No reply..... Warning! If you have any reasonable expectations for a clean room and a decent breakfast when being charged for such "extravagances," do not stay here. My family (3 grown children and a 2 year old) and I had booked and fully prepaid for rooms 9, 11 and 12 for the nights of July 28 and 29, 2017. At last count, 18 cats reside there, in and out of the office, next door to our "Annex" rooms. Upon arrival we were instructed how to,

This B&B is a fantastic place to get away with your pet in comfort. The owner Bill is very welcoming and knowledgeable. The staff were all extremely friendly. Went out for breakfast most of the time so just had coffee in the morning. Great accommodations and funky/eclectic decor. Located apprx 1 mile from downtown/ main st. The only issue I had was some of the room doors just had a hook/latch lock. So a more ample lock to feel that your pet could be more secured would be nice. But very safe and you are in the country so it is quite mellow and worry free. Would definitely go back.

I love it when folks bring dogs. I used to have dogs, but not now so I get my 'dog fix' every day :-) Actually fun having people too :-) Bill
