We stay in Ocean Street Inn ,Hyannis. We prepaid 1,968.50USD for 10 nights.unfortunately we left after 7 nights. They promise us refund of $216,91USD First they send me correct ( proper ) invoice with credit refund of $216.91USD and 8 days later after my arrival back to canada same peoples send me second invoice with out any refund. office /management manipulated price very carefully to their advantage. Please try to avoid this hotel if you can.there is many, many cheaper and better options. Never give them credit card. Pay cash or debit.

This place is nothing but a slightly dressed up motel but in the end it’s a tacky motel. And from what I can tell there are people who live here as well. Reminds me of somewhere you would book by the hour!! Bathroom is from the 60s except they added laminate flooring. New carpet and bed is decent. No closets just a metal rail to hang clothes. Pretty gross Do not recommend!!!!

We just got back (8/27-8/28) from such a great weekend in Hyannis and thankfully this property was much better than reviews suggest! I’ll try to give you the plus’s and minus’s. When we arrived on Friday we called ahead at about 2 PM and we were pleasantly surprised the room was already to go. Check-in was a few doors down at their sister property which was a little inconvenient. When arrived there was a short line but the check in process was pretty easy so overall it wasn’t really a big deal. I agree with others – the property is old – probably built in the 60’s. Very well maintained and quaint though. I normally I stay at more upscale hotel chains, so staying in a roadside motel was a real adventure and we had a really great time. When we first entered the room it was musty and stale (it was a very hot day) the AC was off so that’s understandable. Thankfully the AC worked very well and the room got cool quickly. We did our normal inspection for bugs etc. and found none. In fact we found the room, the linens, and the bathroom to be exceptionally clean which is most important to me. A/C worked great and fridge was ice cold. Another real plus is the prime location -- close walking distance from Hyannis shopping, several pretty good restaurants, and the ferry – so it was ideal. We must’ve stayed at a peak time because every hotel/motel in town was really expensive and this place was no exception. Between taxes surcharges and parking the total was over $600 for two nights which is pretty steep for what you get. Views from our balcony were good. Views from the room were not (In order to see outside you had to open up the blinds on the door exposing the room to people walking on the balcony. The other window looked out onto another motel). Parking was abundant so we didn’t have any issues that other reviewers wrote about. The building is made of wood so you can sometimes hear others walking around in adjacent rooms. We could actually hear kids stomping around downstairs so we were pretty glad that we were on the second floor. Other than that it was pretty quiet. In summary the room was spotless, property was well maintained, bed was comfortable, the linens were clean, and location was perfect -- sitting on the balcony in the evening and watching the ships and the people walking about with a glass of wine was great, so overall I would recommend this place. Just be prepared for what you’re getting.

First of all you have to pay and additiinal $28 to park AT THE HOTEL PER NIGHT!!! Made a reservation for a Harborview room at Ocean Street Inn. Got there had to check in at another location and was told we were upgraded to a room twice the price . The new room had a view of 10 Porta potties instead of the Harbor. Front desk was unhelpful mainly due to poor management. Sad to treat patrons who just want to help bring business into the community.

Despite having paid in full for 6 roomsr check in took longer than usual. Rooms were clean however maid service is non existent. Our room was not done when we arrived from Nantucet. The gentleman at the front desk was unhelpful. Poor service across the board. When you pay so much for this ordinary place you expect better service but you are in for big surprise. I am not used to the roach motel type of service when I come for vacation. Do

We got to the hotel 2 hours before check in, to register for our room. By the way, you need to go a block and a half down the road to their other property to check in. I realize we were early, but any hotel worth staying in will see if they can get you in. Not this one. Here, your told your room is not ready, and to come back at check-in, which is 4. We drove around for two hours, came back at four and again was told the room was not ready, and to wait. I'm now in a hot, long line, for the third time, waiting to see if I can get into my room This is a rookie hotel company pretending to be a real hotel.

We booked a Harbor view renovated room. Since they didn’t bother showing a picture of the harbor view, I did. It may look like a parking lot to you, but apparently it is a harbor. The renovated bathroom was completed in 1960…the floor has sticky residue all over and was not clean. There is no gourmet coffee, looks like it came from Walmart clearance section, Along with all the bedding and mattresses. Oh, and don’t plan on sleeping, the air conditioner rawrs with reckless abandon. I cannot believe they can justify charging $600+ for two nights. What a joke.

Really? DO NOT under any circumstance stay at this third world motel. There are so many better places to spend your hard earned money post covid restrictions. Yes the rooms have been “renovated” to lipstick on a pig. We stayed for four nights, my fault. Had really good experiences in the past. The clue for a substandard stay was the incredibly noisy air conditioning. Ok, one night, we’re exhausted and just went with it. Three minutes of fan running followed by 27 seconds of compressor banging that was followed by the same over and over. How do I know this? Yep, I timed it all night long. Mentioned the problem to housekeeping supervisor on day two. No response. Day three told front desk down the street, no response. Day four guess what, more of the same. Had to unplug the air all together and open windy and patio slider. We have a tendency not to be complainers. We rely on written reviews to vent our grievances. Not looking for anything more than to warn against anyone thinking about staying here.

This motel is in the perfect location. Walking distance to numerous restaurants and right in the harbor for the island ferries. It is a little outdated but very clean. The air conditioner worked well and they had a mini fridge in the room. We had a king size bed which was very comfortable. The only complaint I have (and to some this wouldn't be a complaint if you like to get up early) is that our room had a glass wall, facing east, without room darkening curtains. Once the sun starts to rise, it lights up our room like it was the middle of the day. So BRIGHT. We were also supposed to have a harbor view but saw mostly the top of the office and the parking lot, with a little sliver of harbor. All in all, I would definitely stay here again. It was a clean, comfortable place to put my head at night. Also, the price and location can't be beat.

We have stayed here 3 times, first time, great, second time horrible, thinking it was just a fluke we stayed again and nope it wasnt a fluke. Here is the honest rundown on this place. 1) Non smoking- this is a lie, if you want to smoke you take your room provided ashtray and sit outside your door, you just cant smoke "in" the room but on the walk way to and from the rooms is fine. and if your not a smoker beware,,, your room will fill with second hand smoke if the room next door is. BTW the drunk girls 2 rooms down almost burned the place down smoking out side. they left several burn holes in the plastic green grass rug outside the rooms 2) free breakfast,,, yes there is one, if you can get past the hotel house cleaning staff that comes in, takes all the seats, eats the food and wont move for you, we went down and 2 out of 3 days we couldnt get into the room as the hotel staff was in there hanging out and eating the breakfast. BTW the food consists of small containers of cheerios and rice crispy cereal, fruit bar, and silver dollar sized pastries. and thats all folks although very little is left after the staff cleans it out. 3) all room fronts are glass walls and east facing. queue in the sunrise with NO ROOM DARKENING CURTAINS!!! yes comes sunrise at 5:30am your room is as bright as noon inside. 4) rooms are very mid century mod, can you at least update them to the 70s? lol 5) smelled like pee... second room we had that smelled that way. hotel staff just sprayed room freshers around which was way worse 6) Parking,,,, they do NOT have enough parking spaces for all the rooms, and then during the day RENT OUT parking spaces for the ferries. so if you come back your faced with parking off site because ferry parking took priority. btw, those spots equal 18. I counted 25 rooms in our back corner with only 10 spots.... 7) bait and switch room prices!!!! yes people,,, we booked at one price and when we go there they refused to honer it saying Holiday weekend and jacked the price up another 40 bucks... 8) bathroom had no vent. only a small window with holes in the screen to open, the shower is smaller than the average home tub and YOU need to place the non slip mat into the tub. I think they got the tub curtains and the window curtains mixed up as the shower ones are room darkening lol lol Bottom line, stay some place else, spend the extra and get a proper room, a proper hotel staff, a proper breakfest, room service and a DARK ROOM so you can sleep past sunrise and when they say non smoking, it ACTUALLY IS non smoking.
