Hotel's Favorite
This was or first stay at the Anchor In and we can't wait return! The hotel has a great location right on the harbor in Hyannis with great views from the little rooms decks and outdoor areas. Rooms were very clean, great decor, nice towels, comfortable bed and a small frig. Only thing missing is an in room coffee maker but coffee/tea are available for free in the "library" daily. Rooms were impeccably clean and sanitized which is very welcoming during this time of COVID19. Great outdoor pool (heated) area and fire pit int eh evening. Staff was so friendly and helpful! We only stayed one night for a quick getaway but look forward to returning again soon!

Dear Lyoness Thank you for choosing Anchor In. We're so glad to hear that you enjoyed the Anchor In experience. It was a genuine pleasure to serve you. Every guest room goes through an additional sanitation process using UV and Ozone as an added layer of safety for everyone. We look forward to making your next visit to Hyannis and Cape Cod a most memorable one as well. Sincerely Lisa and Skip Simpson

All of the staff at this hotel were truly wonderful. We were greeted at check-in by a friendly employee who gave us a tour of the hotel and gave us good sightseeing advice. Consistently, each employee we encountered during or stay went out of their way to be helpful, even without being asked (e.g. one employee, upon realizing that we were looking to use one of the hotel common areas to eat lunch, got us access to the kitchen to use the microwave and insisted on setting up the fireplace for us). Our harbor-view room had a large balcony with great view of the water. There was a fire-pit in the courtyard/pool area that the hotel would light nightly. The location of the hotel is also great--it's within a 10 minute walk of the docks where the ferries leave for Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket. The main st/restaurants are also walkable from the hotel. My only minor critique is that the amenities feel a bit dated, though I suppose you could also see this as part of the charm. It's not an impressive looking building or anything, and the in-room TV/DVD player didn't have any way to access streaming services. Overall though, because of the really impressive service we experienced here, these are minor complaints and I would overall recommend the hotel. It was somewhat pricey compared to other options in Hyannis, but reasonable relative to other places we were looking in the Cape.

Stayed many years ago. Disappointed that you now have to pay for breakfast. It used to be complimentary. My fault for not reading thoroughly. Nice view though. Also disappointed the fire pit wasn’t lit. Very comfortable beds and spacious rooms.

Dear StaceyS258 Thank you for choosing Anchor In again. We offer the best Hotel breakfast in a waterfront setting in Hyannis. We started out many years ago with a simple Complimentary Continental Breakfast. Based on guest feedback we continually added more and more items. In order to keep providing this service at a high quality level we needed to institute a small charge. We have done our best to inform everyone so there shouldn't be any surprises. Our waterfront firepit is lit every evening weather permitting. April - November. We hope to see you again soon. Sincerely Lisa and Skip Simpson
