I can't say enough good things about this Courtyard! We originally were booked at another hotel but we couldn't stay there due to cleanliness and bug issues and we called up the Courtyard at 1AM and they got us a room! Not only were they accommodating they went out of their way to make sure our stay was pleasant and anytime we needed anything, they were happy to help. Amazing friendly staff that turned our trip around and made it so much better!
Staying at a hotel at the end COVID-19 pandemic is a little interesting but now more normal then when I was in Detroit last year. Courtyard Cape Cod Hyannis was a very nice stay. To be fair there isn’t normal staff and I saw the general manager doing everything from checking in people to serving food the next morning. Actually lately nothing seems normal but Marriott properties seem to be surviving. This review is a few weeks late but I am just getting around to writing it. I was in for a quick overnight in Wednesday, Apr 21, 2021 - Thursday, Apr 22, 2021 to pick up some sound gear In Hyannis. Admittedly I haven’t been there or to Chatham since 1985 when my mom would vacation on the cape with us. Every time I am in a new city I try to seek out the Marriott properties so I know what I am getting into. This location was an old Holiday Inn which is different as it’s only two floors. Usually these hotels have a smaller footprint and are at least four floors. I am not sure how many years old the property is but the decor matches some in CT and Albany, NY I have stayed at. The hallways are very long and it’s very roomy. The traffic is one way out from so it is a little tricky getting in. If you go out and come back and make sure you pay attention to traffic patterns. The hotel is following all the CDC guidelines and again the largest thing I noticed is how spotless everything was. Masks are required in the lobby area in an around the hotel also but that may have changed since I was there with states not mandating things anymore? I got my keys and headed up to room 200 located near the elevator bank. It was not very quiet and there was a mother talking loudly and kids screaming. Noise bothers me and more than anything is usually my biggest concern anywhere I stay. I called down to see if I could be moved and they were very accommodating. They moved me to room 241 down the hall. The room was very clean and it looks as if extra effort to make sure everything was in stock in the microwave/ refrigerator area. The bathroom was very nice with the normal amenities. The TV was working well and no problem with the Marriot WiFi. I went down the street for dinner but since there was restrictions I brought it back to the room to eat. I didn’t really get to use any part of the pool but the gym was open. It has a couple machines and a dumbbell’s going up to 50 pounds. I used it before I went to bed. I thought the Breakfast would be the “grab and go concept” Instead it seemed it was a small Starbucks in the hotel at the end of the lobby. That is probably because the buffet style is closed still closed in all locations again because of COVID concerns. As with other Marriot properties I was impressed with staff operating in limited numbers with all that’s going on. If you get a chance stay here. It’s a busy hotel but great for the price.…
Stayed here for one night- they offer a great GOVT rate (thank you Marriott!). The pool was gorgeous with warm water jets, they limit usage but not to an extreme (about 10 people were in there with us). Rooms are clean but BEDS ARE HEAVENLY. You can walk to target which is great if you are headed to a rental on the cape. It’s one lot away from Trader Joe’s and Xmas tree shops. I would also consider staying here in winter season when I mostly come to eat seafood, drive by the water and shop!
Booked one night here the Friday of Labor Day weekend. I will say, it looks like a no frills type place on a busy road when you arrive- but once inside it’s lovely. Friendly, quick check in. Room was good sized-bathroom quite large- everything worked. Our room was cleaned, smelled fresh. The ottoman in the corner had a giant stain on it- but that was only complaint. Beds comfy and linens fresh. There is a small fitness center ( during Covid it’s 2 at a time inside) and the indoor pool is open by appointment. ( which was easy to get). There’s an ala cart breakfast counter in the lobby. Small snack shop. The hotel seemed very full- but it was quiet and very clean. Saw many staff cleaning at all hours. Also, they are super strict about enforcing the mask rule- which was nice to see. All in all, I was happy with the stay and would return again. …
The room was large and clean. We brought our own wipes and disinfected all the touch points (lightswitches, door knobs, faucets, clock, TV remote) and we also brought our own pillowcases. Room was quiet. Parking lot was pretty full. Hotel is well located for shopping and grocery stores. Not the place to go for Olde Cape Cod, though! Check in was uneventful. Bonvoy status was not mentioned. No upgrade offered. No late checkout offered. Limited mention of amenity (we qualify for food/beverage credit, we had to pry the info out of them. Rooms don't have free water bottles, which isn't a guaranteed amenity at Courtyard, but other properties do provide that. No laundry bag in room, not sure if that was an oversight or a COVID thing. Did notice they offered prior guest checking in a room on the first floor or second floor, we didn't get that offer. Requested featherless room (allergies) was ignored, both of us woke up congested Saw lots of cleaning going on in the public spaces, and the b'fast (eggs, strawberries, yogurt) were quite good.…
