Being team mom of an 11u boys travel baseball Team, I was put in charge to find us lodging in Ocean City, MD in July! That's a task in itself. I reached out to several hotels to try to get a decent group rate. The Comfort Inn Gold Coast was the best rate by far. Location is great so figured we would give it a shot! I worked with Meghan Campbell from start to finish. She kept in touch with me when needed and worked with me on adding/removing rooms/dates as well as the payment and rooming list dates. She was absolutely wonderful to work with and we will be back. All families had a wonderful time! The hotel is clean and very accommodating for a travel baseball team/family. It was also perfectly located for where our tournament was held which was Northside Park! Public beach access was just across the street, which made us easy for the families to enjoy their time. Highly recommend this hotel as well as Meghan for group reservations. We will be back next year!!

This hotel is located on the north end of the strip, 6 miles away from the Boardwalk. That was fine for me because I had a car. There is no shuttle to the boardwalk. You can not take towels out of the hotel to the beach which is located across the street from the hotel. It is a 2 block walk from the hotel to the street, then another long walk from the street through condominiums to the beach. (The beach is worth it, not at all crowded, family atmosphere). If you have small children with a lot of things to carry, chairs, toys, umbrella, holding hands of children, this can be daunting. There is no place to pull up and drop off your family and or things to get to the beach. You have to lug it all and walk through the very busy street which is literally a highway. Staff is friendly and informative. There is free tea and coffee in the lobby area near the snack shop. The Denny's is attached to the restaurant but it is filthy, loud and service was poor. Go elsewhere. The rooms in the hotel were average. They put us in a handicap accessible room which we did not ask for. As a result of this the shower was floor level and the floor would be soaked constantly. There is no made service and you have to go to the front desk for towels, soap etc. The elevator was filthy and throughout our stay it was never cleaned. The pool is indoors. The pool area was so hot and stuffy with poor ventilation we never swam in it. There are washers and dryers available however they only take quarters and soap is not available for purchase. However there is a Right Aid in the parking lot where the strip mall is located and you can buy some there (as well as beach accessories). Cost per load to wash or dry is $2. The room was so noisy we were awaken all night and early morning with people from nearby rooms, talking, throwing up, yelling etc. I would NOT recommend staying here if you need to rest. This hotel is overpriced for what you get.

Everyone went out of their way to help us. Each time we entered we were greeted. Each morning we were told to have a great day. With the pandemic going on it was nice to be treated this way. Even with the Pandemic. We were able to get as many clean towels as we wanted. We would leave our towels and trash by our door and it was picked up a few times a day. Thanks for a great 4 days can't wait to do it again.

I have to say the staff was nice. I stayed there August 25 for two nights. The 1st night the bathroom ceiling leaked and had ants. We called the front desk but my husband ended up going down stairs. They used a bunch of towels to get the water up. My husband asked for another room. They said they would have to see what was available. They moved us. I checked out 2 days later to leave that Thursday then a family member took sick so I decided to stay again so book that Thursday night and who expected lightning to strike twice in the same hotel. I got a room this time where the ceiling fell in over the microwave. Had to move again. My husband and I are not spring chickens. I made a complaint as to wanting a refund or partial refund. The manager of the hotel, not to pleasant of a person, said that since they put me in a upgraded room, from a queen room to a king room and said it would have been 45 dollars more but I told him that was not true because on the website where I booked my room the King room was only 8 dollars more. So I told him he did me no favors. I have a lot of family from Philadelphia that goes to Ocean City a lot during the year and I will be telling them to stay away from that hotel. I live in Georgia. Its in a great location because we go there every year at the same time and the hotel is near a lot of things. But stay away. I also had family members staying there also that I had booked. They won't be staying there again. Needs to be renovated.

We checked in as we were visiting family in the area. After checking in to adjoining rooms for ourselves and our children, we stepped into the elevator and immediately smelled the heavy odor of marijuana. Rode up to the 3rd floor, stepped off and hit by a stronger smell of marijuana. Walked to our room and thankfully after getting in the door, no longer smelled it so thought it might be ok, we were exhausted, our kids were tired, just wanted to get sleep. At 2am, we were awakened by the thick smell of, you guessed it, somebody blazing that mess up probably right beside us or maybe even in the hall. Our son has asthma and this triggered an attack and my husband developed a severe headache. Hence why we booked non smoking rooms on a non smoking floor. We called downstairs, complained, were told somebody would look into it, they never did so we finally went back to sleep or at least tried. The next morning we tried to talk to the mananager but he was unavailable, we left a message with the front desk that we'd like to talk about it. Never heard from him and finally only saw him at checkout at which point he stated that he didn't have anything to do with the situation, he didn't smell anything and for us to prove it.
Long story short, don't be fooled by the decent price, this hotel is not worth the money. It's not close to anything, it's full of rude staff and obviously drug usage is permitted and condoned by staff. Go somewhere nicer like Francis Scott Key, Hilton Suites, DoubleTree or even Residence Inn in you're closer to Fenwick.
Not even worth a star. Unless you're into semi decent rooms and getting contact highs with your small children while giving your child his rescue inhaler.

Disappointing stay at the facility. The electronic keys worked just once and had to get new keys 3 times during 4 night stay. Noticed several other guests go through same issues. They moved us from first room assigned because guests from lower floor complained about water dripping from their ceiling. Turns out the AC unit was leaking condensation into the room and the carpet was soaked and dripping floor below. The second room had no hot water in bathroom sink. The hot water in the shower ran for 3-4 minutes and turned cold. The worst part was the entire room shook apparently due to unstable washer couple of doors down. The damn washer was not secured until we left.

For nearly 30 years I have got together 20 or so golfer buddies for the sole purpose of getting together golf trips. We have played just about every golf course in Myrtle Beach, S.C. A few years ago, we change locations due to being a little closer to home should we be needed to head on home. My guys were a little concerned I could not match Myrtle Beach. Well, I am here to tell you so please listen up. The Comfort Inn Gold Coast was not only greatly received by all golfers they actually felt the staff was super knowledgeable and professional. The accommodations were remarkable and the room cleanliness beat all. What surprised me was how comfortable the beds were. My decision to move our trips to here was well-received by all of my guys. As a matter of fact, they spread the word to the point I had to limit how many could go. If any of my fellow golfers are looking for the perfect place to go on a golf trip, I highly recommend trying The Comfort Inn Gold Coast in Ocean City, Md. Trust me, you won't regret it.

We didn't spend too much time in our two queen bed room at the Comfort Inn, but one night before we went out for dinner, we saw an unwanted visitor from the corner of our eyes. There was a mouse on the loose! We reported to the front desk and were given a new room. But no refund was offered until we asked, and even then, it was only a partial refund (one night out of two). The response from the hotel was not swift. I am not sure what they did about the mouse, it could have easily run under the door and into another room before anyone from Comfort Inn caught it.
The rest of the trip was fine, which is why I'm giving two stars. The pool left more to be desired and the pillows were uncomfortable, which were my two other gripes. Also, the first room smelled like vinegar when we walked in. But overall, it was about what you would expect for a budget hotel.. until the mouse showed up.

I led a group of 12 golfers on a trip to Ocean City in a package from Pam's Golf Service. We booked the hotel because of the reputation we heard, location, and an attached Denny's which was very convenient for breakfast. The hotel was clean, COVID-ready, and the rooms & bathrooms were comfortable. It lived up to the standard of a Comfort Inn. Our group members were pleased with the facility.

This labor day weekend we decided to visit Ocean city Maryland. Haven't been since 2019. Covid didn't help much in Traveling here. Conveniently located in Gold Coast strip mall area. Check in process was taken care very quickly. Our room was was on the 5th floor. Clean and comfortable. Keurig.available type coffee maker, fridge and microwave in unit. Air conditioning unit worked extremely well. Shower pressure in shower awesome. Nice view of the bay from our room. Staff were very helpful and pleasant. Dennys restaurant next door convient. Good food. Pool on site very clean area. Washing machine and dryer on site which is great after a day at the beach. Which is 2 blocks away. You may drive closer to the beach and park nearby. Also Fox theater with movies on a rainy day. Definitely would recommend

The Comfort Inn is located a good block back from Coastal Hwy so you'll have to add that in to your walk. It's not a hard walk to the beach but it is a good walk.
I kept all my beach stuff in the car till I needed it so I didn't have to carry it from my room.
I recommend a beach cart for sure to make the walk more enjoyable if you need to pack extra things (cooler, toys, chairs, etc).
There are beach access walk ways between the condo buildings to lead you to the beach area.
Anything else please fill free to ask.
