Detailed Reviews
Stayed here last month and really enjoyed this location. I have stayed here before and have never disappointed. Great staff, clean and good location. Within walking distance of a few eateries behind the hotel. Due to current restrictions, pool was closed and no full breakfast as in the past, just boxed grab and go breakfast. Always a great stay at this Marriott.

I stay at this property several times a month and I have found that several room arrangements provide the bed orientation that I prefer. When I check in I try to find these rooms to see if they are available. The front desk staff is very helpful with this. Several time Olivia who was on the front desk spent a lot of effort in locating a room meeting my requirements. This helpfulness is one of the reasons I return when there are other hotels available. I have stayed at other properties at BWI and i have found that Springhill Suites provides the best value. The property also provides one of the better morning food selections.

Shuttle service to BWI airport runs 24 hours, which is good for late arrivals or early departures. Rooms were a little smallish. No one at front desk in morning for checkout. Decent hot and cold breakfast buffet.

I booked a 2 stay stay at this hotel during Labor Day weekend... it does not meet the quality I would expect from any Marriott brand .. I understand Covid 19 has created some changes however if you want people to resume traveling you need to treat us like you care.. it was apparent to me that it’s used for homeless families during covid; while I respect this I also would expect the hotel availability to be zero while booking or I expect that certain floors are designated for this purpose. I understand they might not be able to declare this however, there are steps that you could take to ensure paying customers still receive quality. First night we were scared to leave our rooms as our room was directly across from a family that snuck two pitbulls into their room; it took several hours for them to control the situation both outside my door and then outside in the parking lot. Each morning we were given a breakfast that looked like a bag breakfast a shelter would hand out to children as it contained a child size HI in strawberry explosion flavor, small apple, non branded breakfast bar and a fruit cup. (note; i have traveled during Covid and i have received bag breakfast with quality similar to what they served in their lounge.) I am grateful that companies are able to help the homeless during this time however, i am a paying customer and should be treated with more respect and quality service.

As we walked down hall I commented that we wouldn’t have any problem with elevator noise going to room 401 at end of hall. Little did I know that an HVAC unit is right above room. (That was my business). It reverberated all night and if not for driving 12 hours I would have requested room change. Awoke early to seek peace and quiet in car and missed free breakfast that starts late on Saturday (7:00am). Won’t be staying here again but did have great experience at Springhill Suites in Navarre Beach, Fl.

On April 14th, our flight was diverted to BWI and we were forced to stay the night. We chose SpringHill Suites BWI. Our entire front desk experience was comical. When we called from the airport late in the afternoon, the front desk woman on duty told us she couldn't reserve a room for us (what hotel doesn't take in business when you call them?). She said we had to make the reservation online. So we did. Then we had to call the front desk back to get the shuttle to pick us up (She wouldn't send the shuttle without a reservation). When we got to the front desk she told us to reserve a time for the shuttle to take us back to the airport. We told her 4:30am. Early in the morning on April 15th we received a message from the airline that our flight was delayed, so we called the front desk (a man now) and moved our shuttle time slot to 7am. We got to the front door at 6:57am and we were told the shuttle left. When we talked to the man at the front desk he told us the shuttle leaves on the hour and half hour, and that the shuttle was first come first serve. When we asked why they reserved time slots (with our name clearly on his list) for he said it was to gauge demand, but the shuttle driver didn't get the list. He told us that if they were expecting five people (on the list) and five people just showed up (without a reservation) then he would just take off. He was adamant that this setup made sense!
We were now concerned that we wouldn't catch our flight since we were told the shuttle left every thirty minutes, so we ordered an Uber. The shuttle returned to the hotel the same time our Uber arrived. We had to keep the Uber or get charged for cancelling. As we were leaving, another hotel guest got on the shuttle and it departed at 7:15am. We followed the shuttle to the terminal! Everything the man said at the front desk was wrong, and we ended up having to buy our ride to back to the terminal The only reason we chose this hotel was its proximity to airport AND it offered 24-hour shuttle service.
The hotel should reimburse me for $13.80 for the Uber and I'll update this review with that positive development. Otherwise, stay clear of this hotel. They have no idea what they are doing.

My review is primarily related to on-site parking when staying before a trip out of BWI. Having stayed at this hotel before, you used to be able to get free parking when staying here and then flying out. Now you have to use a code before checking in and neither the front desk, nor Marriott customer service, is able to assist once you've made your reservation. Looks like helping a longtime customer isn't worth $50 to Marriott.
Otherwise, the rooms were a bit dated and in need of repair. The bed was okay but the pillows were overly soft and didn't support my head well.
Make sure you reserve a time on the shuttle bus service. Otherwise it may not be there to pick you up when you need to. You should also call in advance when you land because I ended up waiting over 20 minutes for the shuttle to come after I called.

I really wish I could give this place negative stars. This isn’t a hotel, it’s a motel more like an Inn. Absolutely stay away
I would like to voice my concerns as this has been most unpleasant, uncomfortable experience ever. From the moment we arrived it has been a bit of a disaster, we got here at 1am after a long drive and was greeted by an unpleasant staff member who seems like she barely wanted to assist us. The elevator was broken, AC unit on the floor 4 is out of order. The room is designed in such a way that you can’t even watch tv from the bed. Not to mention how dimmed the place is which sucks the energy out of you immediately. The tub didn’t look clean upon arrival and I noticed mold in the shower ceiling. We woke up to our toilet being clogged at 7 am, I called the front desk and they told me that they don’t have any maintenance workers until 8am but she could bring me a plunger and I can attempt to unclog it myself (umm no I’m the PAYING CUSTOMER) I told them I would wait for maintenance, I opted to use the common space bathroom and that was utterly disgusting with feces in the toilet bowls (unable to use)
At 8am maintenance arrived to the hotel but my room was not services until 9:34 like really I have a bathroom issue that sounds like a 911 to me and the staff member made sure to tell me that she was only cleaning this bathroom once (once again it’s not my problem the toilet clogged)
The morning of Day 3 I had some garbage I wanted to dispose of and I couldn’t find a trash bin to save my life so I took it to the front desk the worker told me to take it to the dumpster around back myself, once again what do you get paid for and my tv doesn’t work properly and will randomly turn off and on whenever it feels like it and now the room AC is inoperable (this has been a horror sorry)
This place is run down and the staff is absolutely unattentive and does not have an ounce of hospitality training. This will be my first and last time as they do not know the meaning of hospitality. Stay away from this place

Ok let’s face it. This is an airport hotel w a lot of churn. Many are only staying one night in these places. The rooms need a major fixer upper. Our room had missing bulbs and the mounding around the closets were coming out. The toilet paper dispenser was busted and the shower curtain rod sagged downward. The beds were downright uncomfy and hard as rocks. The couch was ok but there was only one working ice machine in the whole hotel.
The hvac was sorta working but not really.
The breakfast was ok but a lot of the English muffins had gnats circling and were stale. This hotel needed a refresh. Sheesh Marriott. Work harder for your hotel customers. There’s lots of competition. Blech!

We stayed in 2 rooms using Mariott points for a night before flying out of BWI. The rooms on the 1st floor were disappointing, but I assumed that was because we booked with points. Neither of the TVs in the bedroom area of either rooms worked. The front desk staff said there was nothing they could do to fix. The rooms were very loud due to hallway noise. In the morning, we found a large worm in one of the towels. When we contacted the front desk, they apologized but seemed indifferent.
When I followed up with the staff following our return from vacation, I was told that I would receive a refund of points used to book one of the two rooms. After nearly a month of follow-up, I have not receive the points, or even a reply from the hotel or Marriott management.
If the hotel doesn't want to refund the points, fine, but don't attempt to placate a customer by saying one thing and then not following through. Will never stay here again.
