The property was undergoing renovations, but it did not impact us too much with the exception of a paint smell in the lobby. Our rooms were very clean and comfortable, the hotel maids were top-notch, every night the room was immaculate. It’s located right above a restaurant that was Convenient. And at the base of the hill is a gas station which was also convenient when you’re returning a rental car.

Nice hotel which met expectations. Breakfast was a good size and always topped up - a little peculiar to have it served on paper plates - although we’re from abroad so this maybe more common place. Staff very friendly and informative, we checked in at 1am and they were prompt and efficient. Reliable and fast WiFi connection. Hotel kept clean by staff, daily housekeeping meant towels always topped up. Beds very comfy. Found a cockroach one morning, but only a sole individual. Hotel was basic but good value for money. Food options were very much lacking, location of the hotel makes it hard to walk anywhere and the hotel offers no catering service besides breakfast. Unfortunately, this meant food on site was left to Uber eats. About 20-25 minutes outside of central DC.

Just checking was very nice and welcoming lobby was nice and clean. Had a popcorn stand nice outdoor setting. When I first walked into the room, the first thing I noticed was a dead bird hanging from the window over the pool, which it would have been a very nice view,.. but yet a Dead bird was hanging the whole time that I stayed in the room. i’m lying in the bed talking on the phone and noticed that I see something crawling on the white sheets at first I thought I was seeing things. It was some type of bug not for sure if it was a flea tick, etc. but I did squeeze it and kill it couple minutes later another I’m not for sure the bugs fly through the air condition, etc. but yet it was two bugs in the bed , within 10 minutes. I felt so disgusted. I slept in the chair just sitting up. I cannot sleep at all. I immediately waited until 730 to go down stairs to the customer service to try to get some type of assistant. The manager did ask because she changed my room. I let her know that I just felt uncomfortable. I felt very disgusted, it wasn’t unpleasant housekeeping needs to do better and I by the way I can’t forget about this. I asked housekeeping for some towels. She act like she didn’t understand it, but she looked at me and kept walking. I never seen the lady until two or three hours later. Remind you, I told her I didn’t need any service just needed towels

I really enjoyed my stay here at the Wyndham Garden. The staff was very professional as well as informative of how to navigate outside of the hotel. The housekeeping services were top knotch and made sure that I was stocked with towels and wash-cloths. I will definitely book again! The hotel management was amazing! Last but not least my kids really enjoyed the breakfast as it has a large variety to choose from unlike other hotels.

We came to this state unexpectedly due to a death in the family, drive 14 hours and decided on this hotel due to brand name, sense of security and quietness, to my surprise we were woken up the 1st morning by the shuttle staff in the parking lot laughing and talking extremely loudly yet we were on the 3rd and sounded like we were standing in the parking lot with them for about an hour. They need to find another area to hang out. Next request to be moved great.. moved to the back of the hotel. No problems great night sleep. Leave the next day to handle funeral arrangements gone for a few hours come back to find housekeeping came in made the bed great found out later sheets not changed my sock was still in the sheets, but prior to that started to settle in when noticed not only did housekeeping not clean she enjoyed going through our suitcases and decided to eat and enjoy her time in our room and left behind her baggie with some type of liquid still left in the bag that she left on top of my clothes in my suitcase. Made a complaint at front desk they brought that worker down n all she stated was oh. No apology from any staff member that night. So don’t keep anything in your room that you want to keep, we through out all our open snacks, drinks since she felt comfortable enough do go through our belongings who knows what else she enjoyed. Next day was great. Last night was woken up by someone beating on our door and other doors, my husband answered the guy says oh my bad and continued to beat on other doors, called front desk n nothing. Man continue to beat on door n yell until he found who he was looking for next door, for another 2 hours of them yelling screaming slamming doors n so on call front desk after midnight n still nothing. I could of stayed at a 1 star hotel and new what I was in for but I chose to stay at a top name brand hotel for what I thought I would of been truly comfortable at. Horrible experience and the saddest part is we will be flying back n forth for next few months n now gotta find a hotel that cares about their guest. So disappointed. But I must say there is a women in the morning that works the front desk that is absolutely amazing I spoke with her about these issues as well she seemed to care.

Nicole, thank you for sharing your experience. It is concerning to hear about the disruptions you encountered during your stay. The situation you described is certainly not typical of the level of security and comfort guests expect. It is good to know there was someone who showed care and attentive service. Your feedback will be taken into consideration to ensure a better experience for future guests.

Had a pleasant stay at this Wyndham hotel. Check in was smooth. Room was on 4th floor with tall ceiling and 2 queen beds. Clean linens and overall nice space which appears to be recently updated. Bathroom was decent again very clean only minor thing is the shower water pressure could be much better it aside from A+++. Breakfast was better than I expected with a full spread including fried eggs, scrambled, sausage, bacon and so much more. Didn’t expect there to be EV chargers here as well for all types of cars which was helpful for me to leave my Tesla charging overnight. Staff were very nice as well.

This hotel is in need of major renovations. First, the lobby is dark and unwelcoming. The hallways are dark and smelled dank. The elevator is tiny and can’t fit more than 2 people with their luggage. I spent well over $200 a night for my stay which is severely incongruent with the amenities offered. There aren’t any streaming services or ability to cast from one’s phone to the television. There were cob webs in the corners of the window of my room. Lastly, the guest laundry was out of service and being blocked by caution tape which was jarring, as my room was right next door. The breakfast was ok, but powered eggs were not appealing. Management needs to reevaluate the price point immediately.

I dindt like it at all. On the night of the 23rd to the 24th we were able to sleep very little, since the noise of a pipe could be heard from the bathroom, a guest was drunk and was arguing with his partner in the hallway, until 7 in the morning, when I looked out and asked them to They would shut up, he dropped a flask of liquor. There was no phone in the room to request security help. We spoke at the reception when we got up and we left on the 24th. The person at the reception told us that there was no problem and that they would refund our money, which has not happened.

When I arrived to check in, I was informed I was in a room on a floor that had no elevator to get to it, and they wouldn't change my room. I had over 50 pounds of luggage, but I had to lug it all up steep exterior steps and then stairs in a very dimly lit stairwell. Utterly ridiculous. There was also a sign at the front desk announcing they are now charging an extra $10 for breakfast. They refused to remove the charge when I said I wouldn't be touching their breakfast. Nowhere did it announce this on the Wyndham site when I reserved a room there.

Decent location, but I will never stay here again.

My apologies for the delay in getting back to you. The hotel shuttle is complimentary and set hours and only goes to and from the local Metro, Cheverly Station. That metro/subway takes you into the city for about $5 round trip fare and you can see many attractions that way.

Hi, sorry I did not have the chance to respond sooner. Metro fare from Cheverly Metro to Union Station is anywhere from $2.60 to $4.00 depending on time of day you are going. For accurate pricing please visit the Washington Metro Transit Authority webpage and select "Plan My Trip". Thank you

Hi - thank you everyone for answering this for us, please excuse our delay in responding. Smokers are welcome but it is important to know that they must smoke outside and only in designated areas. The hotel is non smoking if anyone smokes in the room-even it was not you -as the registered guest, we do charge a $250 clean up fee to the card on file - you are asked to sign/acknowledge this upon arrival. - Hope that helps!
