My husband and I went to Rockport, Maine for a get-a-way and to celebrate my birthday. We certainly love Irish music and Ireland, so how fortunate it was to find this lovely place to stay. It has a pool and access to walk their small private ocean beach. The beds were comfortable, the room, though medium size, had everything one needs for two overnights with plenty of towels, soaps, shampoo, etc... Since it is the Pandemic time, there was no Irish breakfast, alas, but they did give a snack bag. The location is close to Owl's Head with the Transportation Museum as well as the fun restaurants, and Lighthouse walk in Rockland. Camden with Schooner tours and more great eating places are literally up the street. It was really fun and restful to stay there! Alex, the innkeeper was full of great stories and the staff was quite pleasant.

Wow, where to begin! First of all, we always love to stay in locally owned hotels and this one did not disappoint. Alex and his wife Siobhan have owned the hotel for forever and are able to give the best recommendations for what to do see and eat in the area. Check in was quick, easy and filled with more than a few funny Irish anecdotes. The rooms were bright and clean, but honestly we spent little time in there because we were out at the beautiful pool, enjoying the private beach access, or dining at one of the many recommended restaurants. We truly cannot say enough good things about this place, we really did feel like family. Already planning our next trip back!

This is an old style motel and I give it 5 stars because it was in a great location, incredibly clean, reasonably priced places to eat nearby, and close to the local great sights. Our room was large and comfortable. the bathroom was updated and again, perfectly clean. We had a very good breakfast w hard boiled eggs, several types of breads and breakfast rolls, fruit, coffee (very good by the way), etc. We had a very pleasant sitting area in our room and ate at the table in front of the window. We were as satisfied with this room as high end big chain hotel rooms. In fact, maybe we were more happy bec we got so much more value for our dollar. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were there in Sept, but the pool was still filled w clean blue water from the summer season. It looks like a very pleasant place to be in warmer weather. We had a frig, microwave, coffee maker and small chest of drawers for a countertop. I would definitely come back here. And in fact have given this name to friends who want to visit this area. There is no better value in this region, unless you want to pay for water views - which might be worth it as this part of Maine is spectacular!

We were told we would have a green bed and have a full. Rooms are hodgepodge, nothing matches with different flower prints and room was very small; white walls, flower valance, 1 blue wall, pink on ceiling, ruffle cheap bedspread, brown twill curtains, blue print lamp shades; I’m sure you get the picture. (The door hits the suitcase rack when opened). Bathroom tiny with cheap shower curtain and cheap shower curtain on bathroom window. Upon opening the door the cleaning order was so strong we had to open all windows and leave the door open for a couple of hours. The room had small frig but no microwave. My advice to you is find someplace else to stay. We won’t be back.

My wife and I stayed 1 night, arriving before 2 PM. A nice receptionist quickly checked our confirmation, took the credit card payment, then gave the key. We parked at the cottage located down off the main Rt#1 behind the pool. #103 was cozy, painted in mellow green, white and blue with a comfortable queen, easy chair, circular dining table and chairs, long cabinet with TV(many channels), small but fully outfitted kitchenette and a fully outfitted bathroom with tub/shower and quick hot water. We liked the quiet AC wall unit, new screened vinyl windows and the strong secure WIFI in the room.
This updated old style motor court has 19 rooms, most sitting below and back from main Rt # 1 with a medium sized outdoor pool, play and picnic area and a Shaw's supermarket .7 mile south. We walked ⅓ mile to a beautiful view over Glen Cove and really enjoyed our stay at $108/night.

I love to stay in a basic motel that has been kept up. This is the case here. The grounds are beautiful. The rooms are cozy. The owners are helpful. Best of all, the prices are fair. Many places of lodging in the area, clearly gouge tourists, attempting to make all their money in summer months. I recommend that you call and book directly. Some rooms are located very close to route one, but the motel section is set back from the road. Depending on the size of room you require, the staff can make suggestions for which would suit your party best. In my case, I have mobility issues and needed to be on level ground from the parking lot. Our room was cozy and had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable, and we had everything we needed, including a breakfast to take back to your room. It was a sunny day, and in retrospect, we should have enjoyed our breakfast on one of the many patio tables. The motel is painted white, trimmed with red, and they have taken the time to plant red flowers around the grounds and plays red picnic in patio tables around the grounds too. There is a built-in pool, and a few of the ocean, though the ocean is not visible from every room. There was only one negative for me. All the furniture in our room was shorter than average. Since I am a tall person, this meant constantly bending over and squatting for the sink, toilet, bureaus and bed. Also, there are a number of steps into the office. My husband needed to check in for us and get breakfast in the morning.

We stayed in a king room which was relatively spacious and very clean. The room came with a regular 12 cup coffee maker with a gold filter so we could make ourselves a cup of real coffee in the morning. It also had a small fridge with plenty of space for our food. Plenty of pillows on the bed. Flat screen tv. Space for hanging clothes as well as a bureau for storage. Were able to park right outside our door. Would stay here again.

Stayed here on vacation last week for four nights, with my wife and her family. We had two comfortable suites which had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable, flat screen TVs in all the rooms, the shower had good water pressure and got hot quickly, nice little kitchenettes, and good air conditioning. Set back far enough from the road that there was virtually no traffic noise at night so we slept soundly. We enjoyed the daily breakfasts and the on-site pool. Close and convenient to everything: shops, restaurants, beach, tourist attractions, etc. And a special mention to the managers/hosts Sherrie and Rich. They were very welcoming, pleasant, and anytime we needed something done, Rich was right there to make sure everything was taken care of. Highly recommended!

This is a quaint 1950’s motel environment. Very clean - rooms a bit crowded because they fit in modern conveniences, i.e., microwave and fridge. Mattress SUPER comfy. Very quiet for a good night's sleep.

I stayed here during a solo trip in Maine (24 year old female) and would recommend Claddaugh motel & suites to anyone in Rockport. When I arrived they had upgraded my room for free and the recently refurbished King room was AMAZING. Literally the comfiest bed I’ve ever slept in and I felt really safe here as a solo female. The motel is a short drive into the lovely Rockport town so is a perfect location. All the staff were so lovely (even when I locked myself out of my room) and so helpful with local recommendations on places to visit on my trip. There was a great fan heater in the room, a fridge, microwave and coffee machine too in the room I had. 100% stay here if you’re in the area!
