We stayed here for five nights. The views are great. I loved the balcony off of our room. Every room has a great view. The housekeeping staff is amazing.

The Halloween decorations outside are off the hook. They speak, they squeal and they move. Area locals drive through with their families. I enjoyed them every time we drove in and out.

The grounds are meticulously maintained. Although the pool was closed, it’s obvious that they take care of it.

We sat on the chairs near the shoreline and watched the birds hunting for fish. I think there is a resident seagull as it appears daily on the grounds.

Good location between Rockland and Camden.

The owner is well seasoned and runs a good business, so don’t bring your drama here. I didn’t personally witness any problems, just a hunch.

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights the second week of September. We were not sure about staying at hotels with the pandemic going on, but we were socially distanced greeted upon check in with a welcome envelope which held our receipt and key to the room. All rooms face the water. Our room was squeaky clean and was stocked with plenty of towels and toiletries in our cozy nautical themed room. There was even a small refrigerator! The balcony was great to hang out with a cup of coffee in the morning or a glass of spirit at night overlooking the heated pool and the beautiful cove! The grounds were beautiful with flowers and a lawn that lead to the small Maine type beach. The water was nice to wade in. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return in the future to this serene and beautiful inn!

After spending 3 whole days driving around in the Acadia National Park (including Bar Harbor), it's time for us heading back south and continue our trip. Before we left Maine, we decided to stay 1 night in Rockport. We glad we made this decision and stayed at another beautiful property (Strawberry Hill Seaside Inn) on June4, 2019.

This property is located along the scenic highway 1 and it is conveniently located from restaurants and shops in the nearby area. Once we stepped inside the building, we knew we both would love and enjoy our stay. Check-in was prompt and within 10 minutes, we were in our room (# 115) already. Our room is one floor above the ground level (highest level) and all rooms in this property have the ocean view (one of the best features of this Inn).

Our room was spacious (corner unit) and everything was designed in off-white finish which was certainly matched with the hotel's ambience. Once we stepped in this Inn, we both felt we were staying in an island resort instead of an Inn. This Inn was also equipped with resort style furniture throughout the property which gave us a pleasant we wanted to stay in the room longer during the day : We both really loved everything about it.

In the backyard of this property, we also enjoyed walking and sitting for hours as close as possible to the ocean to enjoy the afternoon breeze and the serene feeling throughout the whole property. Since all rooms in the 1st floor have balconies (including our room), we also spent hours sitting there and enjoyed the view day and night.

Without any doubt, staying in this Inn was definitely one of the highlights I would never forget in my entire life. For this reason, I would give a 4 stars' rating for this property and I would personally recommend this Inn to everyone who is looking for quality accommodation in their future visits in the area.

The Strawberry Hill Seaside Inn is a quiet, clean and friendly find. It is centrally located to Camden and Rockland in the quaint town of Rockport. It is independently owned, since 1999, and pride of ownership is evident in every way. The interior and exterior of the building are beautifully landscaped and well maintained. The property sits on a long gradual knoll overlooking Glen Cove. There are ample chairs and tables placed throughout the property to sit and read or just take in the beautiful gardens and Bay. The vinyl lined pool is immaculate and maintained at a temp of 90 degrees. The rooms are large, spotless, fresh and kept updated. The staff are ALL friendly, including the on-site owner. We only live two hours away and will make the Strawberry Inn one of our regular get-aways.

We found this hotel on a whim and it was such a good find. It was tucked back off this highway and was super quite and beautifully landscaped. The Halloween decorations in the front were a cute added October bonus. Staff was very friendly and it was so amazing how they paid attention to all the decor/details in every individual room. So so cute and very very clean. It was so peaceful to wake up there in the Morning. Drive into to town was super easy as well. We would definitely recommend this to anyone one who wants to stay in Rockland.

This was such a phenomenal place that I'm will begin with the only negative, which was cleanliness. Once these are addressed the property would be nearly perfect. 1. The wainscoting had h e a v y layers of dust; 2. There was an area of black mold above and to the rear of the tub; and 3. Heavy cobwebs - and a spider or two - were noted both inside the room (particularly around the window and door) and outside on the Adirondack chairs, the railings, and the patio dividing walls. Everything else from the location, the setting, room decor, landscaping, the view, the feline property mascot to the service was out of this world. We were quite sorry that our travel plans allowed us to only stay one night.

Recently stayed 4 nights at this Inn, and wished we could have stayed longer. It was just the peaceful relaxation we were looking for. The Inn, room and grounds were very clean and well maintained. The room was spacious and comfortable. I would recommend the top floor if you can, but all rooms have a beautiful view of the water. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. They only serve coffee & tea in the morning, but there is very easy access to restaurants and markets in Rockport, Rockland and Camden.
Will definitely stay here again when back in the area!

I just returned from 3 nights at Strawberry Hill. Definitely a place that I hope to return to often. Amazing attention to detail both inside and out. Views from the rooms are outstanding and outside space is incredibly well maintained (as is the inside). Owner and staff were friendly, accommodating and clear on their policies. Great that it is pet free and smoke free!

We booked for three nights and were lucky enough to be able to stay for five. The room on the main floor right next to the office was ideal, with easy access to the car but the feel of a good hotel not a motel on Route 1. Clean, quiet, gorgeous ever-changing view, helpful, friendly staff. No breakfast but coffee and tea available and good advice about nearby eateries.

Clean rooms and beautiful ocean view! Just south of Camden and a great place to stop over on the way to Bar Harbor. No elevator and the one flight up is kind of a long one, so ask for a room on the main floor if stairs are a challenge for you. I appreciated being switched to a main floor room that was so close to where I parked my car. Staff was friendly. Noisy pipes, but otherwise quiet peaceful place to stay a night in August.

I am not sure if there are grills but Maine is taking the COVID thing very seriously. Everyone is wearing masks and keeping distance and the state requires a COVID test within 73 hours of coming into the state.
