The food was delicious, the grounds were spectacular the rooms were cozy, clean and new. Staff was wonderful and Ted (the owner) was personable, friendly and helpful. No pool but such a nice place that you don’t need a pool anyway. Just enjoy it.
It is so strange that just off of a busy road is this peaceful little hamlet with six nice rooms surrounding a bonfire pit. The food in the eponymous restaurant is some of the best in the Philippines. An order of lamb with a cheesecake dessert, after a day of bicycle riding, is as close to heaven as one can get in this part of the Phil. (Point of interest: I saw one of the most unusual things in my life here: A family of 13, grandparents (possible great) down to a child of maybe 8, ALL on their mobile phones while sitting at a table! OMG!!) Take a stroll into their little store before leaving....you can buy the various desserts, especially the avocado cheesecake, to go.
We stayed here for 1 night as part of a trip to Pagsanjan Falls and all other accommodation seemed to be back in Calamba or really expensive. This has lovely cabin type lodgings with lovely terraces. Could be cleaner but this is only because I saw on top of the wardrobe. The bed wasn’t comfortable nor was the pillow and the bed was smaller than you often find in hotels. The A/C was pretty noisy and this kept me awake despite travelling with earplugs. Shower was lovely and hot which was a welcome change and bathroom a good size. The attached kitchen of the same name offers a great range of cakes and desserts and well worth trying. There are lovely finishing touches with quotes written on walls and plaques with positive affirmations. The place is quite big and easily accessible from the national highway for buses and tricycles going to Santa Cruz or Calamba. The security personnel were super helpful in getting us on buses which we were grateful for. We also had the pleasure of meeting Ted himself Who seeemed a very pleasant and kind hearted man. Would definitely recommend staying here but there’s nothing within walking distance.…
Ted’s is about 2hr15mins away from Manila. The cabins are compact and can comfortably fit 2-3 people. The place is pet friendly, although permission needs to be asked for the nearby restaurant Ted’s and Aurora’s (15 mins away). The service is excellent and the ambiance is great. Baguio feels (minus the cold temp and long distance drive) with great food and service. Perfect for a chill to get away from Manila type staycation. Good price point too!
So glad we found Ted's! Cottages/rooms were clean and very nicely decorated. We enjoyed the lovely grounds - you easily forgot you were near the highway. Food at their restaurant particularly their award winning desserts were amazing!
I only came here for my niece's wedding. It's a nice place for a wedding ceremony and reception if you hold it in the early morning cos I'm pretty sure it's gonna be too hot if done at a later time. Food can be more delicious if they put more hardwork and effort in it. The big reception hall needs to be airconditioned.
It was an easy drive through the Pililia backdoor. Coming from Manila, the shorter route would be through SLEX but after learning about the horrendous traffic along LB, I was thankful to have been convinced by my wife to pass through the more scenic route. Ted's B&B is located right along the Sta. Cruz highway. The noise of the passing vehicles is muffled by the towering trees in and around Ted's B&B. It has 7 cottages circularly arranged right beside each other, with a fire pit in the middle where family and friends can gather up for a night cap. It has its own restaurant also called Ted's. To give justice to the delicious dishes and wonderful staff of Ted's restaurant, I'll be submitting a separate review soon. The Salonga family, owner and operator of Ted's B&B and Ted's Restaurant are a family of excellent chefs and managers. Thus, you can expect Class A service and hospitality with an overdose serving of delicious meals and desserts. The rooms are clean, quiet and very private. It's so private that when my family took a nap at 530pm, we all slept through the night, missing our dinner! We all woke up at 130am. Ted's was already closed by then so we had to go to a 24-hour fast food for some take-outs. This was a truly restful weekend. I feel that this was my first truly restful sleep in so many months. Ted's B&B is highly recommended for its privacy, price, rooms, food and most especially its staff and owners. Did I tell you that the owners even went up to us to check on us? Warms the heart to have them personally take care of me and my family. …
It's a great place to stay for family and friends especially if you want to get away from the noise of the city called Manila 😀😜 Great for reunions and get-togethers. I loved the bonfire and smores. Anyone checking in? 😊
Don't come that much often in Laguna, but really Ted's B&B is such a treat! Even though it is right next to the highway, it was a great place as the cottages are hidden next to a beautiful garden. Another thing, is the bonfire which we shared in front of the cottages.
Several cozy cottages surrounding a small garden and a fire pit. Very accessible, the place is just along the high way but its tucked inside and isolated from the noise. Great for people who want a relaxing and quiet vacation.
