Over all great experience. Front desk staff member Jacob had great customer service skills!! He went over and above when we left an item at the hotel and made sure it was found and kept safe until the item could be picked up.

I stayed here at sleep inn and suites and Jacob at the front desk was really helpful and nice. My last 6 quarters got stuck in the dryer and he helped me and got my clothes and dried them in company dryer and brought them up to my room when they were done. I really appreciated his help. Will be returning. August 14, 2021 1:40 am

If you can get it for less than $100/night then it might be worth it. It’s more of a $79-$89/night hotel not the $122 we paid for it. The rooms were clean and the staff was nice. The lady putting out breakfast on Saturday morning was super sweet. Bathroom fan didn’t work which made it a bit stuffy. Shower curtain was ripped up and wouldn’t stay closed so you got a draft while showering. Saturday morning my husband’s shower was lukewarm/almost cold but I took a shower an hour later and it was plenty hot - never seen a hotel run of hot water. Good water pressure which is a must for mine and my daughters long thick hair. Bathtub doesn’t drain - the water was over my feet by the time I got out of the shower. Towels are ROUGH/scratchy. I just felt like we overpaid a lot for what this place was. Pillows were nice and fluffy. Most of the lights in the room worked.

I live in the city of Pineville and wanted to be away for 4 nights while road construction is taking place at my home. I also wanted to be able to isolate comfortably during the Louisiana coronavirus stay-at-home order. I made a reservation online at the Sleep Inn more than a day prior to arrival and was pleased with the low rate. I left my car in the driveway because of the road closure and took a taxi to the hotel. Before the taxi came, I became concerned that no one answered the hotel switchboard when I called 3 times prior to arrival. The taxi dropped me off and it was several minutes before anyone came to the front desk. It was at this point that I was informed that the hotel was refusing to honor my reservation because I lived within a 60 mile radius. They claimed this refusal was because of coronavirus, but I later learned that older reviews had been posted online from local residents who had been similarly turned away before the outbreak. I have been employed in hospitality for many years and I know that there were a number of things that could have been done in this instance to remedy the situation. The hotel could have telephoned me before check-in time to notify me that they would not honor the reservation. Failing that, the front desk agent should have taken it upon herself to book me at another hotel. She clearly was not adequately trained in the most basic tenets of hospitality, and she would not make the effort to assist me. Eventually a housekeeping supervisor wrote down a toll-free number for Best Western and handed it to me on a used piece of scrap paper. The nearest Best Western is another city approximately six miles away. Why would anyone send me to a competitor when there are other Choice Hotels in the area? I found this absolutely ludicrous. I am not a homeless transient but I certainly felt that I was being treated like one. I offered to prepay the entire stay up front, as I had plenty of cash and credit cards to cover it, but the staff refused to budge. I have filed a complaint with Choice Hotels customer service and was awarded 1,500 points that I will probably never use after this miserable experience. The hotel cannot hide behind coronavirus when it comes to the total lack of training and courtesy of their staff. Management needs to be held accountable for this embarrassing oversight on their part.
