This had a rating of 8.4 but I can't see how. It was okay but more like a6. The man who checked us in was bored, obviously. He munched a bag of Sun Chips while doing so and spoke VERY softly. The room was clean but definitely spartanand run down m. There were chips and gouges in the cabinet that held the fridge and microwave as well as some walls. When we saw the four bars screwed to the tiny tub we realized it must be a handicap accessible room. The microwave clunked the whole time it ran, even after trying to adjust the turntable, and the bathroom didn't latch. The breakfast was very good... hot and delicious. The location was great. There were LOTS of places to eat within a two minute walk and even a Tanger Outlet mall across the street. I would stay here again, probably, but I though the $180 price (including the $25 per fee) was pretty steep for the run down room.

We have friend in the area and a future LSU Tiger. Stayed again this Thanksgiving for the game. Again LOVELY. The breakfast is hot and good and they make a special punch in the evenings. Atha Martin the Assistant GM is there to assist with anything, and she’s really nice. Room clean, bed comfy good service what more can you want?

We stayed 2 nights during a trip to visit family in the Gonzales area. Had a problem with the TV in the first room, but we were immediately switched to a room with a working TV. We were on the 4th floor and hod NO water pressure the first morning, but it was resolved by the time we returned from breakfast.

The staff was impeccable! They were all so friendly and helpful.
However, the rooms felt less than clean and overall very poor considering the other options in the area. We were unable to utilize the fridge in the room, the mattresses have no mattress covers and the rooms just felt damp.
The housekeeping staff carried towels in giant trash bags to distribute to each room. I'm thankful for clean towels but I don't recall seeing a cleaning cart at all during my 2 night stay.
It was Labor Day weekend and my kids were hoping for one last dip in the pool. The pool was really murky and looked unkept. Needless to say, we didn't let them swim. Also, to note one of the exterior doors on the bottom floor would not close. I attempted to close it, but didn't spend a lot of time doing so - it's important to note that if that door wasn't checked or potentially forced closed, the building could have unwelcome visitors.
Please give your front desk and reception staff a raise, they were great... however, I will not be revisiting this hotel. There are just too many other options in the immediate area.

The staff at this property was extremely courteous and accommodating, which was great because the property itself needs some major renovating!
The window units leak into the room resulting in a musty/mildewy odor as a result of the wet carpet. Don't bother with trying to get breakfast after 8:15, although signs posted say service until 9. The noise level on the 1st floor was ridiculous and was coming from property rooms, such as electricity and laundry. Stayed at the Springhill Suites across the street last year and was expecting a similar experience - NOT.

We stayed here to be close to my in-laws, and it was our worst experience ever at a La Quinta. We checked in, then went to my in-laws for dinner. Upon returning later that night, we couldn't get back in our room. My husband went to the front desk 3 times for a new key, and the front desk clerk came back with him on the third trip. She informed us that the keypad was dead. Then, we were told they didn't have the tool to fix it, it had been taken to another property. We could tell the young lady was really nervous to tell us that she wouldn't be able to get us back in our room until the following morning. So, we held it together, as it wasn't her fault. We ended up spending the night in another room, in the clothes we had traveled in all day, without our luggage! The next morning I called the front desk around 8:30 am to check the status, as we were told they would have someone there at 6:30 am, but that didn't happen. They then offered us toothpaste with no tooth brushes. Really?! We were scheduled to attend our nieces high school graduation at 2 PM, over an hour away. After my husband had enough, and lost it on the manager, who never once called or came to our room to check on us or give us an update, they finally got us our luggage at 10:30 am. We then had to get the four of us showered, dressed, fed and on the road by 12:30 pm. It was supposed to be a 2 night stay, but there was no way I was taking that chance again. And, you better believe that will be our last stay at a La Quinta. I wouldn't expect this from a property attached to the Wyndham group of hotels.

I had a business trip planned and made a reservation. Arrived at 630pm to check in with my reservation after driving 10 hours. The desk clerk said my reservation was cancelled earlier in the day. No one emailed or called me, just cancelled my reservation with no notice or concern. Every hotel in the area was fully booked and the hotel desk clerk could care less or try to help me find another place to stay. They just turned me away, he did say good luck though. The hotel also smelled very musty. I was forced to drive back 10 hours and re-plan my business trip. don't waste your time with this motel or their staff. A reservation means nothing here.

The hotel was nice and clean, the staff was very nice. My kids enjoyed the pool, the bed was comfortable and the cleaning crew did a great job on cleaning and making sure we had what we needed. Also they have free breakfast and a work out room. We had an awesome stay.

Got to my room with 30 degree weather outside and had no heat. Tried to use the room phone to call the front desk and the phone was broken. Had to walk down and tell someone. They did offer to bring me a heater. Finally got moved to another room.
Attempted to wash clothes and the washer doesnt spin clothes out and the dryer took 4 hours to dry them. The towels and wash clothes are wore out you can actually see through them and had holes in them. The place is run down with no maintenace and dated.

The room smelled wet and musky. We stayed here with a group of little league baseball parents. Nearly every family out of 12 had some major issue with their room, from dirty floors to A/C not working. I would not stay at another La Quinta again!
