This hotel is great. Good location and has clean facilities. I was greeted with a smile and had to make adjustments to the reservation and it was handled quickly and easily. We had a very private room that was exactly as expected.

We had a great stay. Many restaurants and shopping nearby. Easy to access. Hotel was clean, staff was friendly, no issues whatsoever. Had trouble securing a Lyft and an Uber but reliable taxi service was used

I have stayed at many Hampton Inn hotels, but this one sticks out with good reason. Kristin went above and beyond in assisting me with my accommodation request. In the evening I witnessed how she handled herself under stress and she remained phenomenally patient and kept guests happy while coming in to check in. When I was leaving with my wife, she was back at the front desk in the morning which meant she probably didn’t get any sleep between her shifts. I was speaking with another staff member who told me that the property was undergoing lots of changes and there was no GM and let me tell you, this girl should be it. She has my vote!

Stayed night of jan. 26. Called Hilton honors to make reservations for that night for buisness next day. Used points to pay for night. Let them know what kind of room and floor and said was able upon making my reservation. Called on my way letting them know i was going to be kinda late. 1st lady i spoke to working at front desk told me my top floor king room would be ready when i get there. Well i got there nearly 9p.m to find my room apparently was unavailable and was put on 2nd floor, not top floor as promised multiple times. There was no water available all bottle waters they had were gone and were no vending machines either. Told director of sales by the name of kristan luther about issues when she was checking me out next morning and she gave me her Hampton inn buisness card an told me she was authorized to put 15000 points back on my account and would take 3 days to show on account. 3 days went by and nothing
Called several times and she then told me that possibly could recieve 5000 points not 15000. I called hilton corporate and they called and spoke to her and she stated that i was told to recieve 500 points only. I had already told case manager for hilton honors what happened and amount of points i was promised by mrs. Luther to be returned to my honors account. Well she told them she only told me 500 points and not 15000 points she lied to manager with hilton honors. Her general manager even backed up her lies when i tried speaking to her on phone. After I emailed picture of her business card with 15000 points written on it , hilton honors not only gave me the points promised to me, they also gave my credit on my account for night to put me 3 nights from diamond status with hilton honors. Thanks to Hilton honors for the help, and remember lying about something to someone doesn't pay when the truth is in the picture. I will never stay at this location ever again an d when I told g.m. she could care less. I advise anyone with honors points to nt sta y there. They will treat you same way, and will avoid reimbursing points at all costs even blatantly lying to Hilton corporate. Wish i was able to give negative points on review instead of at least 1. I would make it a negative 100 if possible. Don't lie when a photo tells nothing but truth for my side.

We really wanted this property to work for us. The first room we got there was hair & mold in the bathroom and the toilet wouldn’t flush. We went to the front desk and got a new room. The next room was in bad need of basic renovations but the worst part: the door would not lock. (Room was on the 2nd floor)
I understand that they are doing renovations after a hurricane but in my opinion this property should be shut down until they can get it “right”.
This is not the standard for Hilton. We ended up staying near door at another Hilton property that was newer and MUCH nicer.
Until this property gets an overhaul I wouldn’t stay here.

The good: The location is great for the Tanger Outlets and there are lots of restaurants around as well. The room felt clean and the staff was friendly. Room AC worked great.
The not-so-good: Renovations from Hurricane Ida are ongoing and there are many amenities that suffer because of it. The pool is closed and the breakfast was subpar. There were basically only microwaveable sandwiches and granola bars for breakfast.
We were also put on the 4th floor in the middle of lots of room renovations where we saw no one else but heard lots of banging from our room. The mattress in our room was also hard and the blankets were scratchy. Had I known these things prior, I would have chosen another hotel.

I made an online reservation and later discovered the hotel was actually overbooked. I was surprised to see that I was still charged nearly $200 for the room I did not receive. after 4 attempts got the illusive manager, who refused to refund me. Then hung up on me. I called again and was hung up on a second time.

While the beds at Hampton Inns are always fabulous, I am finding a wide variety in the quality of the rooms despite the wonderful beds. I booked into the Gonzales Hampton Inn and immediately had to check out because the smells in the hallway and rooms was just too overpowering. I don't know if they are using scents in the carpets that build up over time, failing to air out the hotel, failing to clean HVAC filters, or just what, but even after moving to a different Hampton Inn in Hammond, I battled the stifling smell. I bought a candle (didn't help much), turned on the fan on the HVAC unit and the overhead fan and just tried to make it through the night.

A gentleman by the name of Mason stated that he was the general manager. The customer service was awful. I told him that I was unable to check in and he stated that my wife couldn’t check in under the type of reservation. We ended the call, and he canceled my reservation and refused to reinstate it. When I recalled he was very ugly, and as a matter of fact, and basically stated that what he says goes. This is the worst customer service that I’ve ever experienced at a Hilton property & I am a Diamond member. With that being said, I have traveled literally all over the world.

Hotel A/C was out in the lobby, hallways, and the one functioning elevator. The breakfast was a complete joke with rotten fruit and not many healthy choices. The room shower shelf and tile around the shower drain was broken.

The tub is just a little bigger that a regular tub. Two people can not fix in it.
