Alona Gecko is very clean, simple accommodation in a fantastic location. Great restaurants nearby and a short walk to the beach. There are no fancy extras - just a good place to stay with friendly staff, and a nice clean bathroom to shower after a day at the beach. Well worth the price.

Dear Elko, We would like to apologise for the inconvenience happened to you. I personally have been sorting out the details how and why this was able to happen. As a result we implemented new costumer relation programs to check, if costumers feel fine during their stay. Further I would be very happy to get in touch with you. I would be very happy if you would have the kindness to send me a feedback what detail has been missing, so I do have the ability to get into it and improve our service. I would like to invite you to send us a personal E-mail to our info Mail. Thanks so much. Yours faithfully Bruno

Very clean, CLOSE to everthing! We loved this place because it was cheap and had everthing we needed. Fan and A/C, fridge, comfy bed and patio with another fan and lights to see at night. Even a tea kettle and coffee cups. 5 min walk to the beach and alll the great restaurants like bamboo and Shaka restaurant. One thing that could be beter is the customer service, little to no information on anything about Bohol and they will tell you to just go to the info center instead. And I didn’t feel super welcomed when I arrived. Not sure his name but the one philipino man working there was very nice. Also they have German rules etc which I thought was weird because it’s a philipino country? I know it’s owned by a German but I think everthing should just be in English. (Just a tip) I would recommend staying here and I would def come again!!

Dear Celina, Thank you for writing us this very detailed review. I am very happy having your coments such as Costumer service and descriptios. We are already working on this issues as you describe. We are inventing improvements like complete info folder in every room, where we describe the Island, where to go what do do and so on. This is coming soon as well as videos from our Resort. The house rules are in differend languages such as English as well. I am very happy you felt "home away from home" and would be pleased to welcome you again. Kind Regards Bruno

I stayed there for 5 nights. Safe and extremely clean lodge with mosquito net door at every room. Staff cleans the room daily. The photos you see is practically what you get. However, their mattress is too soft for me, but not a very big deal. Note: They do not allow hanging clothes other than swimming wear at the patio.

Dear Visitor, Fist I would like to thank you for taking time and write us. Thanks you apprecheate our staffs efford to keep everything nice and clean! Thanks a lot. Mattress: This is a hard taks to fulfill. Some people tell us too hard, some too soft. So am happy as you are saying "not a beg deal" Hanging clothes: The issue we had was people who whash clothes in the shower. The issue with washing clothes in the shower dos chause problem with the waste water treatment. Washing soap needs to be treated differently from general waste water. This is the point why we probahibit it.
