We stayed for 3 days and 2 nights in Eco this month, if you're looking for a "chill, quiet, indie vibe" go here. This is a serviced-hotel since they are environmental-friendly thus, less amenities (no breakfast, no usage of plastics bottles, earth hour every 5-6PM) but dont get me wrong, this is so far the best eco-serviced hotel I have been. I love the "common" dining area, the staff, etc. PROS - Staff are very friendly & courteous (especially Krishna (Bohol), Jerome and Alyssa in the headoffice) - Clean room - Aircon - Strong wifi (during our stay) -Cheap but totally worth it -You can cook inside your room but eat it at the dining area so you can feel and witness the big tree that 'umbrellas' the entire area. -Location ( you can just walk going to a lot of restos in tawala) Cons -just the mosquitoes If you're a kind of person that wants to be pampered and be spoiled, go to a five star hotel instead. But this hotel will give you a very personal experience during your stay.…
Room are small, not much light, zircon extremely noisy, service provided is minimal, staffs are not at all service oriented or educated for serving customers, hardly smiling and even more hardly greetings. All those would be ok for a cheap back packer hostel not for the supposed 2 star place they pretend to be. As in Philippines the "eco" concept is just an idea, again staffs are all but concern by environment like letting tourist driving cars for long time waiting customers in front of the entrance with running engine (noise + pollution)... Selective trash is only a concept as well as the garbage are not collected neither selected by Panglao municipality. And oh please know that if you break a glass (value 10 pesos) you will be asked to pay not 100 but 250 pesos for it (to be fair after a small arguement with the manager we did not paid that)...…
It's about a ten-fifteen minute walk to the beach but it's quiet down the little road so worth the walk. Small, personal, clean and lovely design. If you understand they don't provide all the things a big resort does like individual shampoo and coffee etc then you will find nothing to complain about. They advertise as being serviced apartments so a quick shop to set up your room is all you need for longer stays. Great aircon, wifi and TV. Lovely staff on the desk. Comfy bed. Own sink and plates and cutlery is a bonus. This was my fave place on Bohol and we stayed at three different places and I also inspected another four or five across price ranges before deciding. It doesn't have a pool but you can get day passes at Hennan if you want to be fancy during the day and cozy and quiet at night!…
It was a pleasant, comfortable quick stay in Bohol. i love the room, the beddings and their efforts as a green hotel. Strong internet connection with location near the sights of the famous Alona beach. Easy to locate, transportation is abundant as well as restaurants that you can choose from around the area. Thanks Dave and your team, I hope to come back in the future for longer stay and for being generous with the late check-out request☺️.
I love the room! The bed and pillows were comfortable. I think they forgot to put the thick blanket as I woke up cold in the middle of the night. There is no restaurant but that is ok since everything is close by. I will definitely be back and recommend this place. See you soon!
No hot water. They have solar water heating. Complained for 2 days about NO hot water. Located down a dark and nasty dirt road. Two kilometers from the beach. 15+ minutes walk on busy streets. Must go outside for wifi. No coffee. Nice room, quiet, local food next door is good.
The place is just walking distance to the beach. But not to close to the crowded area which is good for having a relaxing rest. Clean room. But there is no WiFi connection in our room, you need to get outside to get connected to their internet. Overall it's a good basic hotel.
This hotel is combination of modern and native. They have quite good amenities - cable TV, mini-fridge, AC, yoga mat, table and chairs, and a kitchen where you can cook your own food. :) Sometimes, there's delay for the hot shower but it's totally fine. One lacking is the generator. When brownout strikes, they only have emergency light in public area. The staffs are friendly and very helpful to your needs. :)
Comfortable, quiet clean rooms on a budget. Rooms include refrigerators and sinks. there is free hot and cold drinking water. Be aware Google maps has the wrong location. You may need to ask around as we did.
Overall stay is ok but theres need to improve in their room, There's quite a foul smell in the CR, and something drippng out. But its a good thing that their attendant is always willing to help :) Nice interior and they have complete kitchen utensils :)
