there are 2 cherrys home 1 is cherrys home too while the other is at the other side but both along the highway. we stayed at cherrys home for 2 nights. we were upgraded to a family room with sala and kitchen for only 2,300/night same rate for 2 rooms for 1,000 and extra person. it is just 5 minutes walk to alona beach. we enjoyed our stay and we recommend this place to stay. very cheap and accommodating staff. my only comment is when we went to cherrys home too to swim at their pool the staff cleaned the pool while we were there swimming was not informed that they are going to clean the pool.

We planned to stay for 2 nights in Bohol and looked around on the net and this was a good budget hotel that we could find at only 1000 pesos a night (about $19-20). Read on this site that people had trouble with reservations. However, we had a smooth check-in arriving at about 10-11pm.

Our first impression of seeing our room was that it was actually not bad for a budget hotel. And was quite relieved in a way. Towels and shampoos were provided. A/C was working fine (a bit loud but tolerable), beds were a bit on the hard side but still had a good nights sleep. Refrigerator worked like it should. TV had its reception problems but still very watchable. Bathroom seemed okay; there was no hot water, so cold showers was the only option. Toilet flush did not work, so we had to pour water in it as an alternative (normal for some Philippine houses to do this I think).

Everything seemed okay until our last night where we found a cockroach in the bathroom. Something people don't really want to see in their hotel room. It was our last night so we just ignored it (as long as it stayed in the bathroom, which it did.)

Beaches are about a 10 minute walk, where there's plenty of food.

Don't know if it was just our room but I guess we were just unlucky with the unwanted bug pest on our last night. We felt very safe and were able to sleep good at night time. Overall this is a good for value budget hotel! But will try other hotels next time though.

We stayed at Cherry's home (one, not Too), which is a calm and nice area, not too far away from the beach, but quiet in the evenings and no loud nightclubs close by. The staff and the owners are very service minded and helps with all requests.

A nice but not so nice place because of people working here.
We reserved and paid for two rooms and when we got there, giving us only 1.
Gave us very early breakfast by 9 in the evening, effortless.
Air conditioning leaking in the walk way, too dangerous for it is beside the stairs and slippery.
We stay there for 3 days and 2 nights, we never heard any greetings, not even single smile.
Is that how you accommodate Pilipino guest??? So sad to feel this kind of discrimination in our own country.

The reservations team are very quick to respond to my email inquiries. I asked them to pick me up at the airport and they gave me my own van for only 500 pesos one way. The driver who picked me up was very friendly. Upon arrival at the hotel, the staff asked me to give them the bank deposit slip as proof of my downpayment I sent them a few days before my arrival. They gave me room number 1. I loved my room. It was very affordable. 1000 pesos per night. I had my own veranda facing their garden. The room was big for a solo traveler like me. I had my own refrigerator and cable TV. No hot shower but they provided free towels, soap and shampoo. The room had 2 single beds so I only used one.

There is a small canteen where they sell cheap food just accross the street.

It was quite far from Alona beach. Walking towards the beach on the rough road from this hotel would take you 15 to 20 minutes.

The security guard of the hotel also helped me find a habal habal driver (motorcycle) who brought me to Chocolate hills, Tarsier and Loboc River Cruise on my last day in Bohol.

I would recommend this hotel to other budget travelers.

Cherrys Home is just a 30-minute drive from the airport. This place is simple and has a homey feel to it. It costs us P1000/room that accommodates 2 persons only. The best part of this place is that they have chairs and tables in the garden, a place to mingle and have a drink with your friends even if you are in separate rooms. You can also star gaze at night time or sunbathe at noon by lying on their sunbathing chair. You can cook your food using their stove, but they charge P100 for it. We were not able to use their so-called solar-powered hot/cold shower because at that time we don't think it worked and also we leave the room early before sunrise. Favorably, they let us borrow their water heater which boils the water in just 5 minutes so still we were able to enjoy having a hot bath. They also clean the room daily even without you telling them. It's automatically made up right after you leave. They can provide a package tour and roundtrip airport transfer for you if you ask them.

Their location is very nice here because just right beside them is a computer shop, a convenient store to buy necessities such as condiments for your food as well as a newly constructed Catholic church situated just 2 minutes away. The beach is just 5-minute walk, there are bars and tshirt/pasalubong stores on your way to it. At night time, you have the choice of having your dinner at the shore which has a Boracay ambiance.. or if you could walk back a little bit, there are cheaper carinderias/food stalls available. Only BPI ATM machine is available, and it is sometimes cashless during Sundays due to lots of Friday and Saturday withdrawals. Money resumes Monday.
Overall, our stay here is worthwhile. Cheap accommodation. Great accommodating staff. Feels so much like home! This one I strongly recommend!

We found this place after staying one night in another resort. The staff are really friendly and helpful. The hotel is well above the standard expected of somewhere that charges only 1,000php per night. Our room was spacious and the air con worked great. The bathroom was clean and the shower was brilliant, really hot and powerful and the cleaning service is so good too. The pool was clean and didn't sting your eyes.
We can honestly recommend this place as a bargain......even though we found the resort of Alona Beach so expensive.....much more so than boracay.

I really had a tough time choosing an accomodation along alona beach, but when I found cherrys@home over the internet and it has everything im looking for, cheap, near to the beach and spacious room..When we arrived in the hotel, we never had problems with the check in, staff are courteous and attentive and polite, but we were more surprised when we entered the room, it was better than I expected..
we truly enjoyed our stay..I would definitely recommend cherrys to all budget conscious travelers and those lookingfor a nice place to stay with easy proximity to alona beach..
keep up the good work guys!

We had problem in the Hotel we initially booked so we end up booking the other room in this place. People here are very nice. (Front desk, guard, kitchen and room staff). And allow me to include the driver (Naldix) who brought us there. This is the 3rd time I traveled with my family but I will not forget the service they provided. The place is just walking distance to Alona Beach. They have free breakfast, spacious room, can arrange travel and pick up. They have a nice pool and Jacuzzi. I don't even mind having a salty water in the shower room. :)) But, still my rating is excellent. :))
