Henann Resort Alona Beach offers a varied experience, where the majority of guests relish the luxurious amenities, including the pristine pools and idyllic beachfront, complemented by spacious rooms boasting beautiful views. The service quality, however, fluctuates, with moments of both warm professionalism and disappointment. While the hotel's location earns praise for its beach proximity and dining options, some visitors point out occasional odors and outdated aspects of the rooms. Despite an overall tranquil and inviting atmosphere, concerns about noise and disturbances, as well as a perceived lack of value for the price, are noted by several travelers.

We stayed at this resort twice last year and on our second stay in November we had a direct access pool room.
This is a fantastic resort but having the pool room was the icing on the cake.
Our stay was for 10 nights which meant that we could have our breakfast at Christina’s rather than the buffet.
The buffet breakfast is fantastic but at Christina’s things are a bit more personal with table service.
The staff there are really a credit to the hotel.
The rooms are very comfortable and well maintained by the staff and the pools are fantastic with swimming allowed in the pools until late into the night.
Food and cocktails at the beach bar are a definite must whilst watching the sunset or you can choose to eat at the buffet inside or have your meal outside whilst listening to the evenings entertainment.
Location is very good too with local bars and restaurants close by.
We will definitely go back again.

My partner and I stayed 5 nights in a premier poolside room and loved every minute of our stay.
We felt fortunate to have a room in the corner ( room 1047) away from the bar area as it was much quieter and private. We made use of the pools near the beach as well , but always enjoyed coming back to our room with our patio with direct pool access. BLISS!
Christina’s restaurant was our favourite for breakfast - this comes highly recommended and was included in our room rate ( added bonus).
For dinner we went to the buffet at the Sea Breeze Cafe and a la carte at Christina’s. Both were excellent dining options with fabulous food but again our preference was Christina’s as the service was excellent ( Thankyou Jensen and Ravina) and we preferred the quietness of their dining area.
Alona Beach itself I found underwhelming , it wasn’t clean , the sand was dirty and it was very noisy. So we didn’t make use of that at all.
We organized day trips snorkelling, island hopping, to the Tarsier Sanctuary and the Chocolate Mountains and they were all lots of fun.
The staff at the Henann are obviously very well trained as their service was impeccable.
I highly recommend this resort.

We have been to several Bohol resorts, but Hennan stands out among the rest.

The staff was very accommodating and extended pleasantries every time.

Our room had this pool access that is simply amazing and which we highly recommend if you want to have the ultimate stay experience. Imagine dipping yourself in the pool while enjoying wine at you own private space, and waking up to have another dip prior to breakfast.

The food was excellent - their prime eye though a bit pricey but the flavor is superb and can rival that of some of Manila’s best steaks. They also have a good list of wine selection. For pasta — go for the truffled New Zealand mussels and sardines. They have a good dinner buffet selection for less than 1k every Friday and Saturday.

Their beach area is the most manicured along Alona beach and plenty of beach beds/chairs to enjoy the best view of the sunset— while enjoying happy hour 3-7pm with their buy 1, take 1 cocktails and beers. Cap the night off with a relaxing massage at Kai spa or in your room — guaranteed you'd wake up the next day feeling all refreshed

Transpo to/from airport of pier is easy breezy and better get their services instead of those vans outside. They basically have the same rates.

Hennan truly locks up everything luxurious you can think of. Stop planning on how to come up with a good stay because they have everything covered.

Just prepare your credit card and swipe it up and prepare to be swept away.

We stayed here for one night which in truth was one night too many. Checkin was painfully slow ,at least fifteen minutes standing in line while one clerk dealt with one guest the other clerks were running around doing goodness what . Baggage delivery was much more efficient. The room itself was difficult to find as we were incorrectly directed at reception, and as the property is a good representation of a maze With poor room signage when you’re lost you’re lost . The room was a reasonable size but smelt strongly of smoke we advised housekeeping and they supplied an electric ioniser , it’s worth remembering that this property charges a severe additional two night charge as a penalty for smoking in the room which we did not want to be subject too.facilities in the room are as you would expect of a five star hotel .Externally the hotel offers a large pool surrounded by absolutely lethal floors when wet hence staff members wiping floors constantly and towels laid on the floors at various entrances the main floor areas are however like an ice rink. There is a spa which is quite expensive and like many others we went outside and found good quality massage at reasonable prices- a much better option . There is a complimentary breakfast which is fairly standard and a number of restaurants on the property for lunch or diner we chose the buffet which was good value but very crowed as it’s open to passers by from the beach. The location overall is quite touristy with a huge number of beach vendors all offering the same product.Chrckout was better than checkin but we were told we MUST wait while they inspected our room for damage ,smoke and use of the mini bar we didn’t wait as we had a driver waiting and a flight to catch In conclusion my wife and I are fortunate that we travel the world for at least six months a year every year and are equally fortunate to be able to regularly stay in some great five star establishments this resort is definitely not one of them this was our first experience of this group of hotels and we would always avoid them in the future,in short we hated this hotel and were glad to leave

Stayed here for 4 nights and had a lovely time.

The resort is a 15min drive from the airport and offer a shuttle for PHP 200 per head. The room was spacious and had a balcony overlooking the many pools. It was very comfortable with a queen size bed, couch, writing table and TV. The bathroom too was large with a bathtub and a shower area.

Breakfast spread was good too with many options: cereals, fruits, ham, cheeses, breads, pastries, local specialties like Adobo, Pancit Bohol, garlic rice, hash browns, yoghurts, jellies, juices, 3 flavours of pancakes and waffles, French toast, salads, Conjee....etc.

The best part of the resort for me was the swimming pools! They have 4 huge, beautiful pools, that allow everyone their bit of privacy and space.

The resort is in the main city and a short walk to a bit of local shopping and restaurants - both on the beach and on the Main Street.

We had 2 room service meals, a snack (potato wedges) which was terrible - they served better wedges for breakfast and a Pancit Bihon which was really good.

One thing I would suggest is a free shuttle pick-up and drop to the airport.

The hotel is located right in front of the beach. The swimming pool is just beside the beach so you can still feel the breeze of the ocean. The facilities are all well-maintained and the staff are friendly and courteous. There are a lot of establishments in the area. You need to travel via van or car to go to tourist spots of Bohol since the hotel is not near to those places. Don’t just book at Agoda right away. You may want to call Hennan directly since they are offering promo rates for their rooms since there are only fee guests as of this writing. I will definitely go back to this hotel.

We landed at Alona Beach with no place to stay. Checked out a few resorts that were old and not very attractive. We drove by the Henann Resort and by the look of it from the outside (Very beautiful and clean) thought it would be too expensive. After checking out a few more places that we didn't like we went back to the Henann and were happily surprised that it was in our budget. Everything at the hotel was great. Buffett breakfast had a great array of food and everything was delicious. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Beds very good. I have to say that we were totally amazed by the staff of the hotel. Everyone we came across were so warm, friendly and sincere. We will definitely return to the hotel because of our experience. My wife and I have two hotels in Canada and a small resort in the Philippines. We know what we expect of our staff and this property has done a wonderful job of hiring the best! Don't miss this wonderful opportunity - stay there!!

The beachfront was good....probably the best one in the area. A little rocky and more wavy compared to Boracay beaches but it was pretty good. There were lots of pools to choose from and they were nice except that the grounds around it were pretty slippery and we seldom saw housekeeping wiping or mopping the grounds/floor dry to keep it from getting too slippery. My 2 y/o son slipped a few times while walking. A week before this trip, we were in Boracay and the beachfront hotel we stayed at had pools as well but they always had staff monitoring and wiping the floors dry. They also had some nonslip mats or surfaces which helped make the floors safe to walk on. Anyway, back to Hennan Alona Beach. Food was ok. There was a wide selection for their breakfast buffet. Overall, the service was just ok whether it be for housekeeping, front lobby, or food/beverage. It wasn’t excellent but it wasn’t bad either. They just didn’t have a personal touch. It’s just that I have seen and experienced better service in a same star hotel somewhere else recently and Hennan just cannot measure up to it.

Traveling during a pandemic is very stressful but Hennan Resort takes all my worries away. They have great big and very clean rooms. They provide your essential protection kits. They hallways are always sanitized. There are alcohol containers everywhere. You you will really feel safe in this property and you can relax and really enjoy your vacation.
They provide a buffet breakfast and their food service is also very good and safe. there are al fresco seating. The food selection is the same with their restaurant, sea breeze.
They also offer dinner buffet at sea breeze for about P900.00 per head without drinks. The selection for dinner buffet was ample and there are very tasty offerings as well.
The location of Hennan is at the end of the stretch of Alona White Sand Beach and is very near other establishments and restaurants along the beach. There is a Mc Donalds and a 7Eleven store near by, especially of you walk along the beach.
overall, this is a really great property and families can feel safe to stay and eat here.
thank you Hennan for the incredible stay. will recommend this property to anyone, especially families with kids.

Our family stayed for four nights. The staff gets 5 stars for being wonderful and accomodating. Extremely courteous and attentive.

The rooms are clean and well-maintained, and we got an upgrade from our initial reservation.

We booked this resort because it's one of the biggest in Bohol. This was important for us because we wanted to make sure that it was safe for our kids to practice social distancing.

But, two swimming pools were closed. Even at 50% capacity, we still would have appreciated having a choice to go to other pools with less guests. That being said, the two pools that were open could have been cleaned better since so many guests were using them.

The resort could also improve their food choices as well. We felt safe staying in at the hotel, instead of eating at other establishments. But they really need to have more options for food.

On more than one occasion we ordered room service for dinner, the food trays that we ate from were left out and not collected by staff until the midday the next day. And we had to call to remind them to clear it.

Other than that, we enjoyed our stay.

Response from Henann Resort, General Manager at Henann Resort Alona Beach
Responded Jul 11, 2021
Dear jgR4359BX, Thank you for choosing to stay with us at Henann Resort Alona Beach. Indeed, our resort is the biggest beach resort in Panglao, Bohol with the most number of swimming pools. As we may all know, the pandemic has greatly affected our operations forcing us to either close or limit some of our facilities and services. We're saddened to hear that even with two out of three huge swimming pools, you still felt like these weren't enough to accommodate everyone in the resort while observing social distancing. This is to assure you that all operational swimming pools are maintained and cleaned daily. We would also like to apologize if the variety of food in our menu didn't meet your expectations. Rest assured that all your feedback were duly noted and we will certainly address the unacceptable issues that you have mentioned. On a positive note, we are very happy to hear that you found our staff wonderful, accommodating, extremely courteous, and attentive. With this, we are hopeful that should everything goes back to normal, you'd choose to stay with us again at Henann Resort Alona Beach, Bohol. The Management

Drinks are $3-4 and they have special hours in the evening "buy one get one free". The rooms are spacious and were good enough for a family of 4. But if you looking for more space it may be worst to upgrade to a junior suite.

I think the pool is only exclusive for the hotel guests. Because they have securities in-front of the beach. But you’ll have to check if they accept day pass.
