Star of this hotel were its employees and its aesthetics.

All the hotel employees were always very pleasant and accommodating. Special mention to Diane and Enzo who always had a smile on their face but everyone else was the same way (just wasn’t able to get their names).

Room was clean and spacious enough for the 2 of us. Bed was comfortable and had more than enough pillows. Bathroom was big although needs more air ventilation to help get rid of the dank smell that develops from wet bath mats and towels. They only make up rooms every third day but this wouldn’t be much of a problem if you’re out most of the day anyway.

If you want something that’s beachfront, this isn’t it as it’s 15 minutes away to Alona beach if you walk. This small hotel was perfect for me and my boyfriend though because we wanted to be away from the town’s hustle and bustle.

Free breakfast fare was ok and had about 5 options you can choose from daily. Lunch and dinner options are many that’s walkable from the hotel. Menus from partner hotels were available at the reception.

Stayed here for 2 nights and is probably one of my favorite hotels in Bohol!

Location:
Around 15mins walk from Alona Beach. Tricycle is not that accessible but you can always ask for help from the reception to book you a tricycle in advance. No restaurants around the area but they have partner restaurants that can deliver directly to the hotel.

Room:
Really really love the interior of the room! Kinda industrial vibes with the hanging lamps and gray walls. Also, room is really spacious! Bed is queen size + there's a small bed if you have an extra person staying with you. TV has Netflix access so it's really great if you plan on doing a staycation. The room that we booked has a spacious balcony that is overlooking the pool.

Bathroom:
Really spacious, there's a big rack where you can dry your towel or clothes, water pressure is great, and heater works perfectly.

Amenities and services:
Pool is cleaned everyday (for the 2 days that we stayed there). It is really quiet since hotel is far from the party area of Alona. There's a happy hour if you'd like to drink inside the hotel! Very helpful and courteous staff!

Would definitely come back to this hotel once I return to Bohol.

I had to find an alternative hotel since our stay in Panglao got extended by an extra day due to COVID flight changes.
So I searched Agoda and found this very nice boutique resort Bird of Paradise.
I booked 2 superior rooms for 5 persons and I was surprised to see my bill at only PhP5K nett inclusive of breakfast for 6 (1 superior room is good for 3).
Way cheaper than our primary resort Henann Alona that charged me PhP9K nett per night for 1 family room.
Special acknowledgment to Emilyn of front desk for the VIP service and for arranging to book us the finest rooms in the resort - room numbers 101 & 201.
Thanks also to the bartender (I forgot the name) who extended the happy hour for us - supposed to be until 7pm only but he extended it until closing time at 10pm.

Indeed, we had a 5-star resort experience on budget with Bird of Paradise Bohol.

Went there with two of my friends for a good staycation and we had an absolute great time! The room was more than we expected and the whole resort was absolutely beautiful. Our room came with a balcony that I requested and it was really pretty. We just loved our stay.

My friends and I couldn't drive, but the staff recommended to us a tricycle driver for a cheaper rate and the driver was so nice.

The staff of the resort were very nice as well! We adored the staff so much. And were really very accommodating.

Definitely a place we would wanna go back to.

Employees 5/5, special shout out to Emilyn for always smiling and connecting us to van and tricycle drivers.

My mom (70 years old) said the employees were all nice and she loved and enjoyed our vacation in Birds of Paradise.

My 20 months old reaction upon opening the room was “Wwwooooooowwwww”

Front desk were very friendly and smiley. They have a WhatsApp method instead of calling front desk which we much preferred and they were very quick to reply also. Free tuk tuk in and out of main town between 8am - 10pm, just WhatsApp them when you want to leave and when you want to get picked up.
Resort wasn't in the heart of town but the free shuttle/tuk tuk service made up for it. Was peaceful as we were away from the hustle bustle.

BOGOF cocktails from 1-7pm.
Clean pool with separate beach towel provided. Smart TV.
Clean space, comfortable bed, definitely felt like a resort.

A very good massage service available - the messeuse know what they are doing! They come to your room and set it up, they sanitised their hands before they started and before they moved from our feet to our shoulders. The head massage and brief face massage which was included in the full body was amazing.

Staff were chatty and friendly.

Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay and highly recommend if you are looking for an affordable resort.

Topnotch service & friendly staff! Place is well maintained, clean, and peaceful. Relatively near the beach and restaurants in panglao. If you’re looking for an affordable, IG worthy stay - this is one to consider 👌🏼

**you can ask the front desk for any needs such as rentals, tours, and airport pick up and drop off.

Our stay at the Bird of Paradise hotel was absolutely amazing! We chose the BoP at the recommendation of my sister and we are so happy we did. Our family of 9 stayed here from 6/12/23 to 6/17/2023. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the A/C worked very well. The view of the resort grounds and pool were stunning. The resort is a bit secluded so very peaceful and quiet, yet only minutes away from Alona beach. The staff was outstanding and extremely accommodating. Often going out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like family. They were always very helpful, smiling, and provided great recommendations for local tours and activities. The food was great and we loved the included breakfast. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a great place to stay, private and quiet, yet still close to local activities and restaurants.
I would like to extend our gratitude to the entire staff for making this one of the best experiences of our vacation to the Philippines. Especially considering this was our first time in Bohol and my children’s first time in the Philippines.
Thank you so much from our entire family! Sir Christian Erkel, Ms. Mae Ngoho, Dianne, Abigael, Ivy, Precilla, Annalisa, Vincent, Renante, Sherlyn, Ernie, Myra, Jaydee, Narhiel, Matthew and Charles.

We had an overnight stay last September 2021. We were warmly welcomed by Mr. Enzo, Ms. Emelyn and Ms. Celine. We stayed in Room 201 (with the balcony). The room was spacious and very clean. We liked the setup of the room which accommodated an extra person on the extra bed that could also be configurated as a couch. They also accommodated our request to have room service for breakfast. Wifi is fast (30Mbps).

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. This is our second stay in this boutique resort. Thank you for having us. :)

We stayed here for 3 nights and we always felt like Home.

Located in the heart of Panglao, Bohol. Alona Beach is easily accessible. But, it is situated away from from the crowded area that gives you the feel of village.

Our stay here was memorable. All the staff were super friendly, respectful towards guests and always took care of us at every step. I will never forget the beautiful people I met there, always smiling and made us feel special.

They only have a limited numbers of rooms. It allowed them to take special care of limited number of guests.

Food and Drinks were awesome. Swimming pool is small but big enough as per the requirement of guests.

Beautiful people in the Reception were always ready to manage tricycle, car and scooter for us for tour.

Room was something I will always admire. Cleanliness and Room service at it's perfect condition.

This was my 2nd visit to Philippines. If I visit again in future, this resort will definitely be the one I will choose to stay and recommend to others as well.
