We spent 3 nights here in late Jan. We are very happy with our stay, room is spotlessly clean and well equipped with everything you would need. Staff is always friendly and helpful. The owner is a delightful lady and very hands-on to make sure the hotel is run smoothly. Breakfast is good, simpler and fresh and with good selection on varieties. Location is best, only 10minutes walk to the heart of Alona Beach. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wish to visit bohol.

Outstanding attention to detail. Unusual in the Philippines where many hotels are run by inexperienced owners and are furnished with the cheapest possible furnishings. Alisa Garden uses first class appontments all around. Towels are monogrammed, rooms are spacious, the bathrooms have plenty of shelving for toiletries and the showers are separated from the rest of the bathroom. Light switches are even labeled. The owner Fiona is almost obsessive in her drive to deliver a first class product. Prior to opening her hotel a few months ago, she lived in every room in the facility to make sure everything worked correctly and was ready for customers. This is an important step in a country where contractors are notoriously unreliable for delivering good work. Even coffee was well thought out. Just about every hotel in this price range in Panglao will serve you instant coffee or the horrible "3 in 1" packets of instant sweetened something that doesn't even resemble coffee. Instead, Fiona has sourced a high quality boutique coffee roast from a roaster in the Carmen area near the famous Chocolate Hills. They actually brew their coffee here! If you're into SCUBA, Fiona is a dive instructor and also owns Sea Lovers Marine Sports Center at the nearby South Palms Resort. Within half a kilometer of Alona beach (about a 10-15 min walk), the location may not suit everyone. If you're looking for a location on or closer to the beach action, you would probably not like the location. If you're looking for a quiet location a bit off the tourist hustle and bustle, the location is great. Also, because of the newness of the resort, it's location is not yet well known by taxi, tourist bus and tricycle drivers and is somewhat hard to find. That will change as the facility becomes more well known. For the money there is no better value in Panglao.

This is a new boutique hotel (opened about 1.5 months) and we stayed here for 5 nights. The owner, Fiona, is hospitable and we had great time staying here. She’s always offer us nice Chinese tea and we had great conversations after breakfast or dinner. Staffs here are also friendly. The room is big and the bed is comfortable and very clean. They added an extra touch of infusing the room with peppermint essential oils before our check in, which was a nice touch. The hotel also has a pool for you to chill out if you are lazy to head out to the beach. Free wifi and sumptuous wide selection of breakfast. We also like it’s quiet location, and yet a short 10mins walk to the restaurants and bars along the main road. Would definitely recommend visitors to Panglao to stay here. Fiona also own a dive shop “Sea Lovers Marine Sports Center” located in another location. It’s on the beach in front of South Palms Resort Panglao. Hence, you can arrange diving trips with her if you are a diver. Panglao is also famous for snorkel with sardines vortex. Just 20 mins motorbike ride from the hotel
