Our room got flooded when it rained. Rain water fell from the ceiling directly fell into our bags including our DSLR 😩 It happened very early in the morning and luckily my husband woke up in time to save our stuff (bags were already wet). A crew told that repairs have been made prior to opening the rooms. However, The management could have done better by testing or ensuring the repairs before allowing occupants to use the rooms.

The whole stay was slightly unpolished and didn’t make you feel welcome. As soon as we arrived before we even put our bags down we were asked for payment. We’d also been sent a fairly aggressive email a few dats before saying if we didn’t confirm the booking via email it would be cancelled (we booked via booking.com). There is just no character to the hotel.
The hotel is small and noisy. There is a bar across the road that did karaoke until late which we could hear in our room. Breakfast was forced upon us earlier than we wanted and they were not willing to amend the menu for my vegetarian boyfriend.
The hotel is quite far from the town but there is a shuttle that runs at certain times of the day. There aren’t any sunbathing areas in the hotel and all of the rooms look across the pool into one another (the pool is quite thin so actually you feel fairly close to the other room). The staffs English at the front desk also was not amazing...
The rooms themselves are fine and have a comfy bed.
We later moved to a hotel that was basically a much better version of Sea Pearl (and half the price) called Island World so id recommend booking that instead.

I don't recommend this resort for the following reasons:
1. It's too far from the hiway. They said that it's a 10-min walk to Alona beach but even if you're riding a tricycle, you will not reach your destination in 10 mins.
2. The pool is too dirty. They said it's because of the cogon roof, pero may dalawang ipis na nasa kiddie pool.
3. We arrived sa resort ng 2pm, June 5 and paid for 2 nights accommodation since sa first glance, maganda talaga. pero ng makita namin ung dumi ng pool at ang layo pa, we decided to find another resort na malapit sa Alona.
4. So around 4PM, we found a new resort, then we called the reception nila and asked them na 1 night nalang kami mag stay sa resort nila and ask ng refund para sa next day na accommodation sana, pero sabi ng manager nila, non refundable daw kasi di raw kami nagsabi ahead of time.. WOW!! understandable sana na non refundable kung marami ang naka book that day or para bukas, pero wala eh.. as in kami lang talaga tao sa resort.
5. since no refund, we decided to stay nalang. sayang din kasi ung 3,700 na bayad. so, nung nasa room na kami, feel na feel talaga namin ung init ng aircon.. so kala ku sira lang, pero sabi nung nasa reception, ganyan talaga sa lahat ng room. so no choice parin.. pinapaypayan nalang namin ung anak namin para makatulog lang.
6. the next day, while we're prepping para sa country side tour, naligo ung wife ku, and after nyang magshampoo, nawala ung tubig.. 10 minutes pa bago bumalik. at ng bumalik, nawala ulit for another 10 mins.

Very nice place! Perfect for family 💕 We reserved all the villas so our family enjoy the whole place for ourselves. The staff are really kind and very approachable. We have a lot of requests specially to have packed breakfast so we can have it on our tour at 5AM. And since we are always out at night to eat at Alona beach, they served our free tapas on morning so we can still enjoy it. We were able to maximize all the freebies they have! Me and my family of 24, including kids and seniors, all enjoyed our stay here!

Found this gem by accident. It’s down a side street a little off the main beach road but only a 10 minute walk to the beach front. Very quiet location but hustle and bustle of Pangalao easily accessible. Hotel run a free shuttle bus if you don’t want to walk. Staff are very pleasant and because it only had 6 rooms the service feels very personal. Rooms are spotlessly clean suites with a full lounge area and bedroom. All rooms open onto the pool and have a lovely patio area. Love the early evening free tapas. There’s also a number of bars and eating places close by if you don’t want to go onto the main beach area.

My friends and I super loved our stay here. The hotel staffs have pleasing personality and were very accommodating. The rooms we got were very spacious, including its bathroom. The internet connection was okay, + we were able to access their NETFLIX account. The pool was clean during our stay, and we enjoyed it to ourselves that time. They also allowed us to access their kitchen with staff’s assistance. Overall, we had an amazing and peaceful stay at Sea Pearl of Alona.

We booked this hotel 2 months ago and 11 days later(on Christmas Day!) they informed us to cancel our booking.
They told me “you booked just this month. And we notice that there’s booking who came first before yours”
I just can’t believe how they defend themselves and letting us know 11 days later, on Christmas Day. Yes we had very unpleasant experience.

Beautiful hotel but that’s all!! the benefits are not up to the height, it's not clean... the manager is not here, the excursions are very badly organized... you must pay all cash!!
Go to another hotel.

I cannot stress enough how I love this place. Hotels ran by big companies are expected to do great in their service but it's the small inns like this whose over the top service that I appreciate more. The staff is warm and accommodating. No wonder all the reviews keep mentioning about them. Since there are only 6 rooms, you'd feel well taken care of and your needs well-attended. All the rooms have direct access to the pool. It was cozy, peaceful and calming. There was no rush to leave or to go out to be elsewhere. Staying in did not make me feel like I'm missing a day not checking out the island. I wish I could stay longer. I'm going back to Panglao just so I can stay here again. Skip the big hotels in the island and stay here. See for yourself what all these good reviews are talking about.

We stayed here for seven nights – and wished we’d booked for longer. There are only six villas, each with a thatched roof, with four villas having terraces with direct access to the swimming pool. The rooms are huge, with a separate living room (with sofabeds which convert into beds). Good quality furnishings and very fresh in appearance. Air conditioning is brilliant. The hotel has been open since around November 2018, but is constantly maintained and has such a lovely pool which is cleaned every day, with adjoining pool bar.
Living room has television with good choice of cable channels in various languages, plenty of storage space, safety deposit box and comfortable sofas. The terrace has a small table with three chairs and two not particularly comfortable sun loungers (the only thing I would change). For sun worshippers, the villas on the left are in direct sun in the morning, and those on the right in direct sun from about 12.
Bedroom is a good size and well lit with a large double bed. Separate toilet and good sized bathroom with toiletries, walk in shower. Tea and coffee making facilities are available. Minibar is filled up every day, containing two beers and various soft drinks and water and a couple of small chocolate bars – all free of charge.
Breakfast is a choice of American (eggs with bacon, toast and jam), Filipino (corned beef, fried eggs, rice, longanisa sausage), fruit juice and tea/coffee, with a bowl of fresh fruit or else pancakes. It is freshly cooked – you place your order the night before. There is also an all day menu and we often ate their Filipino dishes, which were always very tasty and reasonably priced. Various drinks available with a happy hour from 5-7 with buy one take one. Think we drank them out of SML one night!
Relatively quiet location (apart from nearby chickens! ) with short walk to a small supermarket and slightly further to a range of restaurants. The hotel shares a shuttle to the main Alona Car Park twice an hour and back on a very regular timetable, which is brilliant.
Finally I must mention all of the young staff and the owners, a French couple, who were all so friendly and helpful. It is a joy to see and hear people enjoying their work so much!
If you get a chance, go there – we will certainly be back!
