Our resort is located at the end of Alona Beach away from the busy area. All rooms are beachfront rooms with balcony so you have the view of the white prestine alona beach. The beach itself is a few steps away from the resort.Rooms are simple yet spacious with wood furnishings,Tv,cable & wifi. Our resort is ideal for those families and people who wants peace and quite.
It has the biggest whiate sand area! It may only give you the basic things and few types of food (best grilled cheese!) but it is clean, gives a good ocean view and has a friendly staff. Island tour to Balicasag was exhilarating! Dolphins, sea turtles and colorful fishes!!! Virgin Island gives you food thrill. Isola island for the religious (Padre Pio). Of course, land tour gives another kind of excitement. Tarsier, Butterflies, Lemur, Hornbill (and crocodile / python) Seafood by the sea for dinner is awesome.
If you are going to stay in the Alona Beach area in the Philippines, I would recommend the Blue Ocean hotel at the western edge of this somewhat overcrowded beach area. There are lots of hotels that cost far more money and were probably swankier, but the Blue Ocean provides more than adequate accommodations with the room right on the beach in a way from the noisy crowds. Food is limited with a fixed breakfast included. Rooms were very large and here to I would recommend getting their family room which was very spacious for not that more money. Make sure you talk to the hotel in advance (which was somewhat problematic), to arrange for pickup from the airport or the ferry dock. This is a free service that was much needed. Also arrange for the hotel to take you back to the airport or to the ferry docks when you leave.…
The small hotel is located 30 meters from the nice seafront. The problem is the there is a lot of trash mixed with seaweed in the water so bathing there is not recommended. When walking to Alona beach center, you need to pass through a vacant lot adjacent to the hotel that is full of trash, also a downer. The room itself was spacious and clean with an amazing waterfront view. There was a problem with water pressure in the bathroom. The water hardly came out from the tap. The water heater was connected to an electrical outlet very close to the water tap. Looks like a dangerous mixing of electricity and water. Breakfast was basic but nice with a nice eating spot in the shade
The owner gave us a treat. We got the family room even if we were only 2. It was like being in your own home. Staff was like family. Their grilled cheese sandwich was the BEST we have tasted so we ate that everyday. It has the biggest shore/sand area. Not much food available but restaurants were nearby. Simple. Basic. Clean. Very nice view from the 2nd floor.
Nice place to stay in panglao, bohol, with a white sand beach, big rooms and a veranda, great and helpful staff. Quiet and peaceful too. A must place to stay when in panglao, alona beach. Be sure be staying back at this place.
I and my family was in Bohol, purposely to enjoy the beach of Alona, Panglao, Bohol, Philippines. Some freinds adviced me not to go to Alona as the beach line is noisy and bit crowded. Hotel resorts rooms are far from the beach and some are away even from view of the prestine white sand. But, I came accross a small resort at the end of Alona its name is Blue Ocean Beach Resort,. I brought my family in this place and it was a perfect resort to stay for me and my family. It's service is very good. It perfectly fits our needs and expectations. Simple but very clean, good airconed and big room all the basics were there. But what we enjoyed so much is the direct unobstructed view from our room window and balcony. The white beach line and sparkling sea with beautifull boats and bankas moored near the beach line. Just 60 steps away from our room the sparkling water. The beach swiming is a distance from the big crowed enjoying the beach so it was a peacefull swiming experience for the family. Many Caucasians staying at nearby resorts goes to our front beach area to enjoy the peacefull Sun Bathing. If we need to go for lunch and dinner, we just walk a hundred meters away from our hotel to enjoy the foods in the restaurants beside the Alona beach line. During the night we stroll up to the beach line where Haeinnan Beach Resort is located and enjoy the lights, the free nightly band concerts to choose from along the line. The beauty of night life of the Alona Beach that includes the "Red Lights".and Organic delicious Ice Creams of Bee Farm Store. After that, we retreat back to our place just few minutes walk away from madenning crowed and noise to enjoy the peacefull nicely lighted night swiming and rest. WHAT A VERY BEAUTIFUL EXPERIENCE AT BLUE OCEAN BEACH RESORT, Alona Beach!…
Small resort with only 8 beachfront rooms. Location is great! It’s at the end of Alona beach away from the crowd and noise. Rooms are big and ideal for families. The place is good but service is terrible! They charged us additional for early check in and the toilet/bath had a very bad smell in Room 1! We asked if we could transfer room, but staff were not very accommodating. They weren’t always visible as well. They were just by the reception during breakfast. Breakfast is the only thing they serve and they don’t cook/ heat food for you. They don’t have basic kitchen resort amenities, not even a microwave for the guests. Transportation was another problem. Considering we booked 4 rooms for 2 nights 3 days in the hotel, they only gave us one van, one-way transportation! We had to find and book another van to pick us up and bring us to the airport since we are a group of 15 adults, 5 kids. Will definitely try other hotels/ resorts next time. …
Nice and cozy place. The STAF makes you feel at home, friendly and smiling, if you need, in a sincere way. The rooms all overlook the sea, where you can enjoy an amazing show. Quiet because quite distant (not too much) from the premises and other establishments, so if you want tranquility is the most suitable place. I recommend it absolutely
As stated earlier, Blue Ocean Bohol is located at the very end of Alona beach. I consider this as the biggest plus. White sand beach and away from the noise and crowds. Rooms (eight in total) are big and can easily accommodate four (to six) persons. Ideal if you travel as a family. View from the first floor is very nice indeed. Breakfast is nothing special. Staff is friendly. And yes, as every where along Alona beach, you pay more than anywhere else. Still good value.
Nice room, FANTASTIC view, friendly staff. Breakfast very basic, but it’s the Filies!!! Highly recommended for Total Chill Out and experience of ‘living on the beach’. (I visited with my friends from Boracay cos it was closed, and we all enjoyed)
