Typical Homewood Suites property. Far enough off the highway to miss the noise. Room was good, but floor lamp was missing bulbs. Assume someone ripped them off. While the hotel is obviously pet-friendly, i was not prepared to have a large dog in the breakfast room. No harness or service dog vest. Mentioned it to the front desk and they did not seemed too concerned. From the pet owner's standpoint, there was no signage saying no pets. but...

Would absolutely stay here again. Went with the 2 bdrm, 2 bath, 3 bed suite to enable our teenagers some lounging space. The location was fabulous, walking distance to Albasha Greek Food (highly recommend) and a Barnes and Noble. The evening reception was fantastic, generously stocked sliders and soup and sides, as was the morning buffet. Staff were welcoming and helpful, constantly restocking, and not rushing anyone away, so there was a happy atmosphere. Only quibble was the charge for the newspaper, having paid the room rate I would expect a local newspaper thrown in for free. Would have extended our stay an extra night if we could have, and would certainly stay here again without even checking out other options.

This hotel exceeded any expectations we had. This was an annual trip for our High School Beta club for the state convention. The hotel that our school typically stays at was booked earlier that normal. We were upset and concerned, but we were pleasantly surprised when we were able to find the Homewood Suites. The entire staff was overly accommodating and made all of the organization for us so much easier. Plus, having a large group (55 students) was so convenient and cost efficient to be able to eat breakfast and dinner at the hotel. The dinner hostess was so friendly and helpful. Will definitely book for next year's convention.

This hotel needs to be shut down because it is a health hazard and the manager needs to be fired immediately. I have stayed at numerous Homewood Suites around the Country and this is the worst Homewood Suites that I have been to and the worst experience that I had to endure including my family. The room was filthy, pull out bed had pacifiers and dirt on the sheets, bathroom had hair on the tub and a dirt ring around the tub. I called the front desk, I told them the condition of the room and he said he would move us to another room. After I was assigned another room, that room was dirty and the sheets were dirty. The man at the front desk said that he would find a room that had clean sheets and bring them to us. He brought clean sheets to my room and I requested a late check out due to us having to move out of our room at 11:00 pm and we were tired and our young kids were exhausted from being at the baseball park all day. At 11:17 am we receive a call from the manager on duty stating that we need to be out of the room or she would charge us for a half a day. My husband went downstair to talk to the manager concerning our late check and because we had to move room at almost midnight. She rudely told him that she did not have a request for a late check out and it was a holdiay and the maid had 12 rooms to clean. We told her we would be out of the room by 12:00pm. The manager came to our room at 11:37 a.m. and asked us why we were still in the room and she would be charging us for a half day. We told her we would call corporate on her she say do what you have to do. At 11:58 a.m. we walked out of our room and the manager was standing next to our room . We did not see anyone from housekeeping on our floor as she stated that housekeeping had 12 rooms to clean. We will never stay at this hotel ever again because of the unsanitaries condition especially during this time and also the rude and unprofessional manager.

This is a comfortable property. Our suite was large and well laid-out and easily accommodated our travel with our grandchildren. The only con was the night desk clerks who seemed pretty clueless as to the property. I asked about the closed entrance to our room on the first floor to accommdocate my disabled husband's mobility issues. She pointed out a door and how to get around to closer parking. Following those directions, we found out that he had to traverse a long hall, only to find out when we reached our room that there were actually two doors with parking within steps of our room. Later I asked if they had the typical hotel 'store' and they directed me down the street, but then, when pressed, remembered(?) they did have a hotel store and directed me to it. It was just bizarre to the point of being funny.

Very convenient to my daughter’s college, restaurants in walking distance, clean rooms and hotel in general was well kept, housekeeping were prompt in supply fresh towels/linens upon request, front desk staff was very helpful and accommodating. The general manager was awesome (professional in demeanor and appearance). Overall it was a great 12 day stay!

I got charged a $100 fee for leaving balloon confetti on the floor. We were celebrating a birthday and had balloons (with confetti) and wall signs. Mind you.... We picked up ALL THE TRASH, NOTHING was broken, NO food was left, we had piled all the trash up in bags and left it all in the kitchen in one spot, all the balloons were picked up... the confetti was from popping the balloons. We did not vacuum because I assumed vacuuming is part of the cleaning process but apparently that's extra. The hotel itself was very clean and in a great location but unfortunately, I will not be back. that is absolutely ridiculous. The receptionist could not answer my question, "so they don't vacuum the floors?".... the confetti was round and flat so a vacuum could easily pick it up. I am just beside myself. Very disappointing. I DO NOT recommend this hotel. Thanks.

The staff is nice and I’m sure they’re doing the best they can with what they have.
It’s clear the operator of this hotel is spending zero dollars on maintenance. The condition of the walls ceilings, floor, furniture and bedding is astonishingly poor.
I am stunned that Hilton allows this establishment to bare its name. If Hilton is affiliated with this location I would highly recommend they sent an auditor by to check out what’s going on.
Honestly I have seen Super 8 motels in better condition.
I have stayed at this location in years past, and it seems that no maintenance has been done in that period. Will not be back.

Enjoyed the stay. Fitness room could be a lot better,although there is an offsite fitness center that can service the hotel. Once checked in it is a little more of an added difficulty when having to address fitness needs elsewhere. Could be a thought when picking a hotel. Other areas of the hotel service were nice and staff was cordial and helpful.

The Franchise Owner for this property is “IHP Baton Rouge Owner, LLC”, operated by “Prism Hotels & Resorts”.
This property has been “Rode Hard and Put Up WET”.
The grounds are in need of care.
The pool is empty with tools laying on the bottom.
House Keeping is only available once between the weekly schedule.
I asked for House Keeping on Monday, they showed up after 5:00 PM on Tuesday. They said they would come back on Wednesday during the day. They did get there on Thursday.
The property has not been re-staffed.
They only started serving a full breakfast Fathers Day weekend (as I was told). Another Hilton Property next door (a “tru” by Hilton – also owned by IHP Baton Rouge Owner, LLC) has still not begun serving breakfast.
No Evening Social as of yet.
Stair Fire Exit on second floor does not close as the it is damaged.
The AC in the room is VERY noisy.
The TV in the Gym does not work.
The Clock in the Gym does not tell the correct time but twice a day.
The TV channels on the (on screen) guide are not accurate, the screen says “No Signal”.
If I were a Hilton executive, I would visit and inspect all the properties owned or managed by: “IHP Baton Rouge Owner, LLC”, and “Prism Hotels & Resorts”.
Overall, this property was VERY Disappointing.
