After staying at 3 Wyndham properties during our trip, my impression is "Quirky." Richmond was the least quirky. Our spacious 1 BR suite's living room seemed partially furnished and the rooms were somewhat worn down. Oddly, the only toiletries were a bar of soap and one small tube of shampoo. There were no utensils in the kitchen so we begged plasticware from the cheerful, accommodating front desk agent. A needed repair was readily visible but was left as is. While the cooked breakfast was a welcome change in Covid times, the boxed scrambled eggs and sausage that were cold. Good location. We would return to the Richmond after it is refreshed.

Overall this hotel was "fine." It did the job for the 2 days we were there. The bedding in the rooms is strange. One thing fitted sheet on the bed, no mattress covers which seems like it would be a necessity in hotel rooms. One thing flat sheet on top and one thin blanket. I checked the closet for extra blankets and there were none. I understand this is the south but it was chilly for the couple of days we were there seeing as it was November. The bathroom only had 2 towels. No washcloths or hand towels. They did give us a couple of more towels when we went to the front desk and asked. That brings us to the phone. There was no way to call the front desk because the phones in the room have been disconnected. Why not remove them if they do not work? It made the rooms feel trashy. The breakfast is the morning was good but the staff member wo was serving breakfast looked and acted like she would rather be anywhere else which was off putting. Overall, this hotel was very overpriced for the accommodation. It did the job but in the future we will probably look elsewhere.

Stayed here some years ago and was most impressed. Stayed here in January 2021 and was disappointed with cleanliness and ambiance of the room. Broken light fixtures, peeling paint and plaster, bathroom cleanliness suspect with cockroaches.

Staff is friendly, and nice. I have several concerns which is the reason why we will not return!
1. Trash of uneaten food left in the dresser, room smelled of food when we got in.
2. Key card stopped working after 12 hours.
3. Bathroom left in an acceptable condition.
No towels, trash not dumped, no soap left, toilet paper not replaced. Tried to call to make my concerns known, however the room telephone doesn’t work. Called from my cell phone. Housekeeping did everything except bring the rug, soap & toilet paper. Day two still no soap left, toilet paper not refilled. Had to call for again soap. When traveling who wants to tell someone how to do their job? I want to relax after a funeral not be locked out of my room, start rationing toilet paper & soap because my requests are ignored.
We have stayed here many times, however now we have to find another place to stay when visiting family in Baton Rouge Louisiana.

Every time we needed towels, sheets or toilet paper we needed to go to the front desk to get items. No one came to our room to pickup dirty towels and leave clean ones. Breakfast was from 7:00 am -10:00 am and we went to breakfast at 8:30 am and it was already closed down. Horrible service!

if i could give it less the 1 star I would
where do I start first I used 6000 points to get a better rate first mistake thought it was a nice hotel.
Second we arrived and they gave us room number 145 they told us there would be luggage carts at the front of the building there was not.
There is also an issue with access once we got a cart we still had to unload from the car as there are steps down every entrance so was unable to load the cart by the car.
once in the room the damp smell hit us immediately we tried to open a window no good so we sprayed with Lysol and put the fan on in the bathroom this helped a little but still smells bad.
we decided to go to the front desk to ask for a different room the person there a male was not very helpful but did change the room to another part of the hotel so we thought wed check it out first then see.
I also asked if we got more towels as the was only 2 bath towels nothing else in our room he said this was normal
I have stayed in many hotels cheap and expensive they all had full sets of towels.
When we went to the smoking room they had a full set of towels in there so he was lying so we took them from that room back to our damp room

Albert was kind and helpful and upgraded my room upon check in to a king suite so my party could have more room. The only good thing I can say about the room is that the toilet flushed, there was hot water, and the ac worked. The room had a terrible odor. The carpets had some sort of white substance dripped all in the bedroom area (not sure if this was remnants of last guests or paint (which I hope it was) ). The electrical outlet cover fell off when I tried to plug my cord in. We asked for towels and never received. There was someone's left over pill in the jam between the bathroom and bedroom. We were locked out of the room upon return due to batteries dying in door unit (had to wait outside for maintenance to come fix). The sofa and living room chair were extremely filthy with dirt/water/sweat/who knows what rings and spots all over them. The desk chair looked like a cat had torn it up with its claws. The restaurant was shut down and the pool was padlocked. All of these items have insured that I will never stay at this facility again, nor will I recommend to anyone.

I had great hopes because of the service with Rose on the phone when booking but at the actual hotel everything was a nightmare. Couldn’t explain the price discrepancy between what my card was charged and what they told me originally, never got receipts, bathrooms were dirty in rooms, and staff was not the friendliest or professional. Would recommend staying somewhere closer to the stadium for same amount of money if traveling for the games.

Terrible experience. In the morning of May 22nd, I went downstairs for breakfast, and after waiting at an empty station For 5 mins, a lady brought me two boxed breakfasts. After checking I requested to give me one without bacon. She refused which was not an issue but she was surprisingly rude about it. I walked across the hall to the front desk which was empty. Waited for about 5 minutes and the attendant came from the back of the kitchen doors. She was so aggressive when I requested if they could hold the bacon. She said it was not her problem if I didn’t eat pork. Even though I had not mentioned all pork - just bacon specifically. It felt like there was an underlying assumption based on my name. Then I obligingly returned to the breakfast area to make do with a slice of bread but as I was doing that I heard the lead manager (Ashley) mocking and discussing my request with a couple of guests.. that was quite offensive as she is not supposed to do that. I went across the hall again and this time I mentioned that this was not cool that she was huddling with other guests about my request. I get it that one of the folks in the huddle was another manager so both managers seemed to be discussing this with other guests? That makes no sense. I said this was so not cool and that I’d rather not eat anything not even bread. Ashley’s response was that then why are you still in the lobby. Please leave the lobby if you are not going to eat. This is what I had to deal with on a stay that is supposed to be relaxing and rejuvenating. It was the complete opposite not to say the least. I called Wyndham to register a complaint. I have been told that someone will get back to me in 7 business days. I will update if someone gets back to me. So far though, worst experience ever. I saw the star rating and booked.. didn’t realize that the more recent reviews were horrible. The staff that morning was all extremely rude, aggressive, discriminatory, and just plain unprofessional. The hotel needs to hire customer service staff who are better suited for client facing customer service roles.

Exterior and lobby were well maintained in the front of the property only. Basically all. Of the property beyond the lobby were in disrepair. Exterior seemed to okay until inside the property. Guest areas were dirty, littered with cigarette butts and glass alcohol bottles, peeling paint and inadequate exterior lighting. Once we drove to the back to enter our room the parking lot was not adequately lit and there were multiple cars parked with people just sitting in them. There was a car with a smashed driver’s side window. It was definitely uncomfortable and concerning. We drove back to the front of the property which was much better lit and entered the property from that side. There cigarette butts and bottles littering the ground. We walked very quickly to our room watching for the people “parked” on the other side of the building and immediately locked the door behind us.
Inside the room was even worse than the exterior. See multiple pics. Posted of moldy bathrooms and ceilings, very dirty and dingy furniture, peeling paint, holes in the walls(in the bathroom which I stuffed with paper), and just nota placed would ever recommend to anyone. We only stayed one night and left at 7am.
Lobby was clean and updated. Breakfast area was clean and comfortable. Staff was very pleasant. This is the only star they get. This place needs a complete renovation to the guest room areas or to be torn down.
