One goes to a place, with certain expectations, based on what you see in pictures posted in sites and feedback from personal friends who have gone to the place - such was the bases of our decision to book in Nabulao Beach & Dive Resort. The place looked good. The grounds upkeep did not disappoint. The flora was very nice, providing very calming green surroundings. The beach front has lounging chairs - sounds of the wind and the ebbing tide - peace and quiet...i.e. if a big LGU (local government unit) group have not booked the same days you have. Apparently this is a resort popular for conferences and meetings. Major downsides! Be ready to have No Service (globe or smart) and no internet connections in the rooms. Be ready to be disconnected and be off the grid! The resort staff advised us that to be able to be connected to Globe we have to position ourselves in the beachfront. To also have internet, even if you have data, one is also expected to do the same. Apparently, this is a problem of the whole place. Sipalay & Hinobaan are places with very poor internet. Definitely these are not places you can go to for workation! If you are expected to WFA (Work From Anywhere) this is not your go to place. To have cable TV in the rooms, the system is that they put in a "load" for the use of guests. Unfortunately for us, the cable TV in our room had "No Load". The combination of no internet and no cable is not good at all when there is nothing else to do. The pools were not clean. We were told that chemicals for the pool were ordered but have not arrived. The beach is not "swim-able"! Sand mites in these parts are vicious. Adding to this are the stray dogs, cats, chickens! The staff were very polite and listened to our concerns. However, they seemed not capable to act on some of our concerns immediately - perhaps not empowered enough by management to address guests' complaints. For example, changing our towels which were full of holes and for sure have seen better days. With a little pressure, on our 2nd & last day, they gave us a new room with cable connection and better looking towels. The staff being nice certainly made up for the difficulties experienced. But I still am not changing my Poor Rating.…
We arrived early than the check in time and front desk was helpful and let us do an early check in without any issues, they gave us info as to what is offered by the resort at that time and the Staff, Dive Master, Boat Crews, I must say is outstanding...we’ve tried breakfast, lunch and dinner and no complaints here each was served in the right proportion and simply delicious...If you’re looking for peace beautiful sunset and just simply meeting genuine people this is the place to be...”I Shall Return”With Much Gratitude to all you folks at Nabulao Beach and Dive Resort keep up the good work👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
The comfortable large rooms are facing the beautiful garden or the ocean. The beds have good mattresses , white linen and nice towels. The lighting of the rooms is good for reading. Fish, meat and vegetables are fresh. The chocolate cake is excellent. Everything is homemade, tasting well. Dive equipment likewise the dive instructor are right there. Two pools are available for the swimmers and the children of any age. Thank you friendly staff, we’ll come again! It was a good choice! Swedish couple
Visited the place with my family last Feb.7,2020,nice location. The resort is clean and well maintained, staffs are friendly and helpful.Nice food and the serving is massive and the price is reasonable.
Beautiful beach, nice resort and friendly staff - but unfortunately service level has a long way to go. Up keeping of grounds and maintenance have a lot of room for improvement, and despite very low occupancy and plenty of "spare and chatting time" of the staff - no effort was evident. both pools were not inviting as they probably haven't been cleaned in a while Restaurant Service non existent - had to be called from far each and every time. Food was generally good but orders took very long to arrive. Basic amenities in the room missing (no water kettle and coffee set up even in the Master Suite) - shower gel / shampoo from sari sari store in sachets... Dive guide was very friendly and attentive during the dives - however no briefing,no explanation of dive site and what to expect, no buddy check initiated, seemed to be very new in his function and not fully qualified. Massage was the best we had in a very long time long time Wifi very weak…
Perfect for groups of friends or family.. boating, diving, jet skis... well appointed rooms, great food and staff Very fortunate to have met the wonderful owner, Ines Without a doubt, best resort in the area
Stayed here last weekend on a company outing. Sharing some of the things i liked about this place: -stated at the room “cattleya”. It’s spacious and can fit 7 adults 1 child comfortably. -ate mostly at the resto, they have a wide variety of food to choose from at a reasonable cost. I would recommend their lechon kawali. -staff seemed nice and attentive to our needs. My friend wanted warm milk and served it for her even if it’s not part of their regular menu. -although we didn’t get to try their water activities and island hopping due to the weather conditions, they actually have a lot from banana boat ride, jet ski rentals, paddle boarding, diving... -i was especially fond of their kidney shaped pool (they have two but preferred this one since it’s near our room). -there’s fresh towels for guests and they provide soap and some shampoo in the bathroom. While it’s is mostly well and good, there are some things that didn’t go that well: -the A/C in the cattleya room wasn’t working. On our first night, almost everyone didn’t get a good night’s rest because it was too hot. We had to request for two electric fans to sleep comfortably. -place is too far from Bacolod and was a bit dissapointed that it’s not a white sand beach. -there’s that loud noise fron our bathroom which i’m guessing is probably from the water? People kept on waking up in the middle of the night whenever someone needs to use the bathroom. Not sure what that was about. …
Nabulao, tucked away in a remote & lush paradise in Hinobaan, Negros Occidental, Philippines. Amenities included jet ski, diving and snorkeling into the clear & blue waters, 2 swimming pools and delicious food. Even if the resort had many guests yet you hardly see them and didn't feel crowded. Wifi was slow but hey, you're in paradise so the best excuse to disconnect from the busy life and truly relax. Lastly, the sunset was absolutely gorgeous that ends the perfect day in paradise.
We stayed at Nabulao beach and dive resort for 3 days with my family ( 6 adults and 1 toodler). We enjoyed the peaceful scenery and the beautiful beach. The only downside was the slow Wi-Fi literally nothing as we couldn't connect to the Wi-Fi at all during our entire stay. There was no room service to clean our room and they didnt change the towels daily and the foods at the resort was a bit expensive. Guest are not allowed to bring their own foods so guest are obliged to buy foods at the resort. Overall, we enjoyed our family holiday and driving for 4 hours from Bacolod to Hinoba-an was worth it.
Negative review: We booked our rooms through Agoda. We are 10 pax.5 adults and 5 children 15 and below. Three rooms for two pax. 4 extra persons. When we arrived the hotel, we asked already the front desk what’s the policy on the buffet breakfast in the next morning. Front desk said that in excess of 2, the guests have the option whether to pay 250 for buffet breakfast or we can order ala carte. Next morning, we asked if they can take our orders and we were told that there were no alacarte but just buffet so we just ate thinking that maybe they will give discount as they have changed their policy. When we were about to pay, the extra persons are counted AUTOMATICALLY and shall pay the corresponding 250 per head. One of our friends did not eat but still we paid because it’s automatic charge. Second, one of the rooms had a defective AC. They suggested a room but it is smaller and situated in a noisier place. So we just asked for additional fan. No discount provided. If you are in a service industry, when something comes up like this, you should offer a better/upgraded room because you caused inconvenience to your guest. THird, they offer wifi but no signal. Positive review: staff were helpful And courteous. Spacious room. Nice Garden. Nice ambiance. …
