We were pleasantly surprised. A comfortable room, with microwave and refrigerator. Good sized room, beds were comfortable. The place is old and in need of some updates, but for the price a good find. We have to dogs which they allow. A plus is a breakfast included. Basic but once again for the price it was ok. Would stay again if in Emporia for a night.
This is what is to be expected with an Econo Lodge. The manager was very nice and I would stay here again if necessary. The dining area was tiny but the rooms and hotel were clean. I don't have any complaints.
Check in was great, the front desk staff was very helpful and gave us a ground floor room as requested. The room was clean and the beds were fairly comfortable but the bathroom is tiny with no ventilation. It felt a little claustrophobic because of the lower ceilings. The parking lot, and the hotel in general, just seemed a bit dark. That gave it the impression of being a bit unsafe, but we saw no evidence that it wasn’t. Nothing ever happened or was even hinted at, it was just a feeling. I might stay here again if I were traveling alone, but it’s not a spot for a family visit or an extended stay.
This hotel is definitely not CLC friendly / accommodating. Staff was hard to communicate with. The room was clean, shower was small but water pressure and hot water were good, table and chairs, microwave, microfridge, flat screen tv with cable, a/c was fickle most of the stay. Bed linen was a putrid pink color. Breakfast was dismal at best, sweets and cheap coffee.
I've been staying at this motel for 3+ weeks. The management is great. If you find any issue with the room he will switch rooms to your liking. Management is friendly and helpful. Beds and rooms are nice and clean. Staff is great. I've been treated very well here.
