Located in the heart of downtown, the Hyatt Regency Indianapolis is frequently celebrated for its prime location and inviting atmosphere, complete with live music and festive decor. Service at the hotel often garners compliments for the staff's friendliness and professionalism. While some guests have called out the clean and spacious rooms, others have raised concerns about noise levels and dated interiors. Despite the overall cleanliness and convenient amenities like the Eagles Nest restaurant, travelers warn that additional costs for parking and other services might detract from the hotel's value.

Stayed at the Hyatt Regency Indy for a business meeting. You never know what you're going to get at "conference hotels" as far as rooms, food and amenities. I was truly blown away by the friendly staff, great rooms and good food and meeting rooms. The hotel is centrally located to a lot of shopping, restaurants and nightlife so it's an easy walk to any type place that you want to go whether its day or night. Meals were way better than expected and I had a very nice room with a comfortable bed and a large walk in shower. If you're in Indianapolis for any type of event don't hesitate to stay at the Hyatt Regency Indianapolis!

Visiting Indy for any reason a stay at the Hyatt is a good option for covid safe, and ease of travel around the area. This hotel was one of the NCAA Host "Bubble" Hotels for the Final Four, and did an excellent job!
The hotel has an abundance of rooms, and is a great option as we continue to distance from others during the pandemic. Rooms face multiple views that don't disappoint. Michael Berhand takes his job very seriously and will go out of his way to help. Housekeeping is great at keeping standards high - someone is always cleaning public areas. A unique feature is the whole hotel is powered entirely by wind power, a plus for this eco-friendly guest.
The central location means easy access to walkable dining venues and fun tourist sites, with much more variety now that places are opening up more. Directly connected to the Convention Center, no need to go outside, and Lucas Oil Stadium right down the block means Sporting events for the coming year are sure to be a hit if you have the chance to stay here.
Hyatt rarely disappoints and this particular property has done a fabulous job during the years' crisis.
A great place to land next time you head to Indy.

As we begin the fall migration of students back to college, if you are bound for any Indianapolis area schools, I highly recommend the Hyatt Regency. After numerous years of making this our family home base, whether for move in/out, homecomings, COVID departures, you can rest assure that the Hyatt will do its best to provide you with a helpful and fun stay. The hotel prides itself on its ability to cater to all guests, including last year hosting the NCAA Men's Basketball tournament without an issue. We have had the pleasure of getting to know many staff members, with a shout out to Michael Berhend, Ernest Rome to name a few. Our rooms are always spotless and huge in comparison to other hotel options, staff courteous (we prefer no housekeeping and they always honor our request), and we find the location to be perfect with regard to dining options in Indy. The Eagles Nest rest. is exceptional cuisine with a revolving dining experience that makes the meal memorable. The Rooster Rest. is back up and always a pleasure. Valet parking could not be easier with Michael on staff during the day as a courteous and professional assistant. The 15 minute drive to our child's university is worth the pampering we receive at the Hyatt. With a few more years of stays ahead of us, we are so appreciative of the warm hospitality, attention to detail and professionalism this staff offers.

I typically stay at a Hyatt property only once a year. More often I stay in lodging that's perhaps a tier below the typical Hyatt. So I expected a lot more this time while staying at the Hyatt.

My experience was a tremendous disappointment. I wasn't able to control the temperature in my room, I asked for foam pillows but received feather or feather-like pillows, and the humidifier I requested was filthy. About the only thing that was better than expected was the valet service.

Perhaps the worst aspects are that the shower faucet didn't work properly and it was nearly impossible to control the water temperature. In addition, this is an atrium-style hotel and there were guests screaming as they came in at 4am from partying. The echoes likely woke anyone who was sleeping. Where was the doorman or security?

Be forewarned. The location is central to downtown Indianapolis, but you may get more or less than you bargained for.

Room Tip: Not sure where the best rooms are. The closer you are to the atrium, the louder it is.

The hotel is an ideal location and the rooms are nice but my experience was awful the heat did not work in my room for two days before they fixed it. The housekeeping staff seems to be understaffed they did not promptly clean your room and were told they had until 7:00PM to get it clean. Also the noise in the morning from the street echos up to all the rooms every morning there seem to be a siren that wakes you up.

The room needs to be updated very badly. Specifically, the bathroom seemed very old. The countertop behind the sink was stained, the bathroom wall had black markings, the bathtub surround looked 'dirty' (it wasn't but it looked that way), the toilet roll holder was half ripped out of the wall, the ventilation was poor and water droplets formed on the ceiling when the shower was used, etc. The provided shampoo and conditioner didn't meet my expectations and I was glad I brought my own as I didn't want to use what was provided. The bedroom wall by the window was marked up. The desk situation was strange. I understand the rolling desk was needed since the counter with the lamp and TV was too tall to be a desk; however, there wasn't enough room in the space to truly accommodate using the desk. The chair and table in the room looked very old.

The pros were that we had a group rate that made the hotel affordable, the room was cleaned every day very well even though we didn't vacate the room until late in the day and the beds were very comfortable; however, the state of the hotel means I will try to stay at a different hotel next time I visit Indy.

We didn't rent a car largely because the hotel charges $48/night to park it. For a city like Indianapolis, I believe $48 is outrageously high.

Lastly, the escalators were under construction when we were there and I believe more could have been done to 'cover' the construction area and put up signs to say sorry for the mess, this project will be complete by...

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel for the Sweets & Snacks Expo. The hotel was across the street from the convention center so it was a very convenient walk over to the show. I do wish the Skywalk was open and available for me to use during my stay, as it was closed off and prevented hotel guests that were part of the show from easily entering to the convention center. In the future, if the hotel could also have expo organizers have check in stations near the skywalk, that would be great. The employees were wearing masks, the room was clean and sanitized upon entry, and there were guidelines for social distancing at the hotel.

We planned a short one night visit to celebrate my daughters birthday. She loves swimming and staying hotels so we drove 2 hours to stay here, swim in the pool, eat at the cool rotating restaurant, and visit the children's museum.

I stay in Hyatt's a lot so I was using a free night. I thought that means we would just get a standard room which is fine, but I was delighted to see they upgraded us to a deluxe suite (room number2006/07)! We had two and half bathrooms and tons of space! The kids had a blast just playing in the room.

We swam in the pool, which seems a little dated but very clean- no complaints.

I had a little trouble with my mobile key on the app. An I had requested a wine corkscrew and wine glasses delivered to the room - but they never came.

We had an absolutely terrible experience at the Eagles nest restaurant. The worst Hyatt restaurant I have every been too! The food was mediocre but the service was terrible. Our server actually told us that "fine dinning is not for children" even though we came there special to celebrate our child's birthday. They made it so clear we weren't welcome there, we didn't even stay for dessert (sorry no birthday candles this year).

The hotel is beautiful, the staff was great. My only small complaint is that given the current pandemic, there was no designated hand soap in the bathroom and I think the room and bathroom could be cleaned a little more thoroughly (it's the little things right now). Otherwise fantastic stay.

The Hyatt Regency Indianapolis has a great package each year. My husband and I have gone 3 yrs in a row now. The package includes your room for the night and dinner (we always choose the Fat Rooster). Food is wonderful, the bands they have for the evening play a wide variety of music. Drinks are not included, but the evening is great. We go as soon as check in starts and proceed to lounge in our room, go to dinner, maybe walk around downtown over to Georgia St for the festivities (it is isn't too cold or raining). We love the balloons dropping at midnight. We've been done below as well as watched them drop from our floor. Makes for a nice way to ring in the new year and NOT have to drive at all.

Great Question, today's IT needs can change dramatically with each group with access to the system available for purchase by the event organizer. Event Organizers can then distribute unique access codes to the system at there discretion. I hope this helps

We very much enjoyed the Club, even our 10-year-old grandson. You would have to inquire with the hotel about using reward points for Club access, although it's possible they would even upgrade you to the club level floors so it would be included.
