The Homewood Suites by Hilton Indianapolis Northwest hotel is located conveniently off I-465 and Michigan Road on the Northwest side of Indianapolis, IN with easy access to Downtown Indianapolis, Indiana.
Our Indianapolis Northwest Homewood Suites by Hilton hotel has 82 spacious suites and offers all the comforts of home. Our suites are designed for both business and leisure Indiana travelers staying for a few days or a few weeks. All hotel suites feature fully equipped kitchens with a refrigerator, microwave, two-burner stove top, dishwasher and a dining table large enough for work.
Our Homewood Suites by Hilton hotel also offers complimentary high-speed internet access, speaker phone and voicemail. Indiana travelers will enjoy our complimentary hot breakfast buffet served daily featuring eggs, bacon, sausage, fruits, cereals and homemade Belgian waffles.

First, I'll say. we were looking for a hotel that offered 2 queen beds and a "bedroom" for our trip as well as an indoor pool, that was clean for a reasonable cost and we found that. That said, the hotel seems to be old and running down a bit. People have said it's been nicely renovated, I think they may be reviewing the wrong Homewood Suites in Indianapolis. Our room was fine but it was basic, dim, had paint chipping, and smelled of stale smoke. I talked to the front desk about the smoke smell and they told me they are non- smoking but "people don't listen" so they have a machine they use in the room to eradicate the smell but they had already used it in our room, they gave me a can of air freshener instead. The elevators smelled of Marijuana constantly which my daughter thought was a skunk. The front desk had to go spray them often as well. The pool was nice the first couple days. We noticed the ladder was detached on one side but it didn't much matter as there are also stairs. The last day of our stay, however, we went to take our daughter to the pool and we were told it was closed because the ladder was broke and it was a safety issue... this was days later. They were kind enough to give us a late check out to see if it would get fixed but 4 hours went by and the ladder never moved so we left with one disappointed daughter. The hotel sits on the highway. Ask for a room on the parking lot side. We were on the highway side. Thankfully we travel with a white noise machine but even that didn't drown out the semi noise. It's not a bad location to get places but it is ON the highway. We were told on check in that the breakfast cook had called off so the front desk person would be making breakfast. It was limited but was good. You told her what you wanted, she bagged it, and you took it back to your room. The stay were all very friendly, very accommodating, tried their best with what they had to work with, and always had a smile on their face.

This is Homewood Suites is kind of out of the way from the area around the Pyramid Offices and is near Interstate 465. The hotel has been updated. The wired internet did not work in my room. Housekeeping failed to clean the room one day and I needed to ask for clean towels and supplies.

Positives: Room was very clean. Check-in/Check-out was easy Room was very quiet. Nice hot showers
Cons: Breakfast: They did not seem to have a full-time person manning the breakfast area. They kept running out of food, dishes, coffee and condiments in which people had to go and find someone. My sister went down before 9:30am. Breakfast was to go until 10:00am. There wasn't any dishes available except bowls and there was no food left.
The doors to the rooms could use some painting. Many had scratches on them which too away from the overall quality of the hotel.

While the very limited staff were lovely, the room was beyond disgusting in your claim to 'cleanliness' during Covid. Since the staff did not come in to clean our entire time, then the hairs we found in the blankets in the closet, and the half eaten food under the bed that were not ours – were all there when the room was 'sealed' and 'sanitized'. We appreciate that you wiped off the light switches with a note to us regarding the extra care – but if you think you are meeting Covid standards (or frankly basic ones), then you are sadly misinformed.
I spent the entire week we were staying with you praying that my COVID vaccine (Thank you Pfizer) worked.
I truly felt bad for the VERY lovely and VERY overworked diminished staff.

The lobby and breakfast area were updated and clean. That’s where it ends. Our room door barely latched, you could see under and through the side of the door. The carpet, walls, chairs, ottoman, tables, nightstands, and couch was absolutely filthy. We stayed in the double Queen Bedroom. White stains on the couch, dirt and grime are actually worse than the most recent review below that covered the phones, door handles, doors, walls and tv. We actually had to call for someone to bring cleaning supplies as soon as we walked in but they refused to let us clean ourselves to make sure it was done properly. They sent someone who couldn’t speak English with a spray bottle and dirty cloth. You could tell only the tops of the tables and counter had been “wiped off” but the legs and sides, cabinets, fridge etc were so disgusting. The room looks nothing like the photos listed on their site. We thought maybe we would try again on a separate visit in February and called to ask for an “updated” room and was told nothing has been remodeled in the several years this front desk attendant had been working there and that “she’s been there for almost 10 years”. Ok…. So, we booked downtown Homewood Suites and were extremely happy we did! Pay the extra $10-$20 and see the difference! I’m absolutely shocked it was only that little of a difference in price but the service, breakfast, area and omg the rooms!!!! Again, the rooooooms!!!!!

We stayed at Homewood Suites NW Indianapolis for a soccer tournament with the rest of our team. 1. There was no internet service on the tv. “No signal”. Several rooms had the same problem. Ran out of hot water after 1 short shower. A room on 3rd floor had no hot water for 3 nights. The outside doors were out of service so we had to travel around the building to get in. We told the front desk about the tv and they said they would tell the next shift. This is 2 days later and nothing. The hot tub in the pool area was roped off all 3 days. You cannot advertise for these amenities if you don’t have them. We are very unhappy with Hilton for charging $200 a night with these problems.

First the good aspects: The suite was very clean, well kept, and roomy. However, multiple things were broken indicating poor maintenance. The ceiling fan was missing the chain that allowed it to be turned on. The heating/cooling unit in the bedroom was disconnected from the thermostat and had to be turned on at the window unit manually. The TV in the bedroom did not work with the remote control and the guide and other functions were not enabled. The front cover on the heating and cooling unit in the main room was falling off. The worst issue was that both mornings we stayed there the shower was cold. The first morning I called the front desk and they gave me the excuse that it was cold because they were "sold out" the night before and therefore there was nothing they could do about it. The second morning when I complained, the desk clerk asked what time I used the shower, seemingly indicating a usage issue again. It is completely unacceptable to have a hotel that cannot keep hot water for showers for ALL their guests, no matter what the occupancy rate. I was VERY disappointed in my stay and cannot recommend this hotel.

We checked in and immediately checked out. The hotel is in a very loud area, the exterior trash cans were overflowing with trash, and our room was dirty. There were red stains throughout the suite and grease spots on the bed sheets. It also smelled like cigarette smoke. We asked for a refund but were charged for the first night. They did offer us another room but we did not feel comfortable that another room would be clean.
I strongly suggest NOT reserving a room at this hotel. It's a gamble and you will not receive a refund if you don't like the accommodations. There are much nicer hotels in the Indy area. We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn in Fishers and it is very nice, clean, and quiet. It is disappointing to have to pay double, but it was well worth it for our health and comfort.

I wish I'd seen the other reviews that mentioned not having hot water before we stayed here as part of a wedding. There was no hot water in the sink or shower during our stay. As others have noted, the breakfast area ran out of food, coffee, and plates by 9AM on a Saturday. There was one staff member attempting to cover both the front desk and the kitchen. The general manager said they later checked and "there are no problems with the hot water."

We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite . It was very clean and very spacious ! I liked that there were separate thermostats in each bedroom. Breakfast was good. I like that hot options were available and breakfast wasn’t just cereal bars and cold cereal. Overall this was a fabulous stay especially for the money .

1) We do not have a bar in the hotel.
2) We are right off of Michigan Road and W 86th Street; plenty of restaurants in driving distance.
3) Check-in is at 3pm and checkout is at 11am.
There are more places to choose from in the Indianapolis area.
