Detailed Reviews
Check in was less than stellar. When I arrived, I walked in and the person behind the desk was working on the computer. I stood there for about 2-3 minutes before he acknowledged me. It was super awkward. He didn’t seem too eager to check me in.
We get into our room and we realized there were no toiletries, no hand soap, no shampoo/conditioner etc. I grabbed a Kleenex and there was only 2 total in the box. The toilet paper was about half full as well (it was the cheap, rough kind). The room was basic, nothing special. I was disappointed in the lack of touches the room and hotel in general provided. However on a positive note, the hotel looked newly remodeled. The lobby was small but nice looking.

I stayed here for 4 days in late May. It was a bit further out from where I usually stay, but I was not disappointed. The hotel has easy access from the 465, and getting back on to West 86th is a breeze with traffic lights on the next road down from the hotel. I booked a suite and pleased I did as the room was large with a separate sofa room and study/desk. It met my Marriott preferences on a high floor and away from the elevator. The front desk staff were wonderful both at check-in and during my stay. I came in reasonably late one evening and the coffee was only lukewarm, and the girl on reception noticed that and immediately went out the back and replenished it. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Whilst I was only in the room to sleep, I did notice that the room was quite dark especially during the day as the trees on the rear of the property cover the window. Aircon worked well, but I found it better to turn it off during the evening. My room was serviced every 2nd day, and this was fine for me. Breakfasts were fine, and regularly replenished. Whilst Longhorn is just across the road, that restaurant is an absolute wreck and a disgrace to the brand, so I would suggest driving elsewhere or walking a little further to Ted's Montana Grill.

+1
Fairfield inn at 86th & 465 indianapolis indiana is absolutely amazing. I especially want to thank the staff.. Friendly and helpful especially for 2 Autistic grandchildren and a grandma in a wheelchair. July 9th our home was almost completely destroyed by 90' tree. Through our insurance we've been here for 2 full months. Only problem is when we return home no swimming everyday for my grandbabies. I'd like to give a shout out to Sonya an amazing cook wow ll, Fernando the maintenance man always helpful and on top of everything. Especially KEMIA front desk we have been extended so many times through our insurance KEMIA always had a keycard ready. yes i highly highly recommend Fairfield inn indianapolis indiana on 86th and hwy 465. Thank you Carline

This stay at a Hilton Fairfield was a disappointment. For the $170+ cost, the following… gray bathroom floor tile is was not mopped and after walking on it and getting in shower, the bottom of my feet were dirty, overall the bathroom is not getting a proper cleaning with stains in corner of shower floor. Room curtain holder must have been moved because there was a big unpainted spot in the wall. House cleaners don’t smile and must hate their jobs. They are currently not offering coffee/hot water in lobby because they “ran out of lids”. I actually called corporate and asked why no coffee service during the day if coffee service is offered at breakfast without lids. After a long hold they came back and said they talked to Managment and service would be put back in lobby and somebody would call me to apologize. NEITHER happened. It’s quite amazing a stay at a motel 6 can offer coffee to their guests and the Hilton conglomerate takes services offline when they can’t procure lids.

Very rude people. Despite my making a reservation online using a toggle switch for 'allows pets,' when we arrived the staff would only point to a sign that said No Pets Allowed. They refused any accommodation or pet deposit. We rebooked at another Marriot 2 miles away where we were told 'All Mariotts accept pets.' I've stayed at Marriott for 20 years, We are titanium elite. I've never been turned away with a pet before. but worst was the general rudeness of the two women at the counter.

Response from Victoria Smith, General Manager at Fairfield Inn & Suites Indianapolis Northwest
Responded yesterday
Hello, we do apologize for the inconvenience to you. However, we simply informed you that we are a non pet property. No pet deposit was discussed because we don't accept pets. We thank you for your loyalty and membership. We apologize if we came off rude, we were simply giving you the rules. Thanks

This is an older Fairfield property, and it shows. Upon entering the room smelled musty and, though the AC worked well, the room stayed damp. Worse, the wifi and room refrigerator both failed to work. Breakfast bar is cramped compared to other Fairfields. I’m in Indy a lot but would never stay here again.

the staff granted my request for a top floor room away from the elevator something Holiday Inns wouldn't do ( I tried at least 3 times) That is the way to start a great stay. we couldn't figure out how the TV worked ( our fault) but the front desk man came right to our room and showed us, I didn't have to ask. GREAT service, nice room, clean.

I recently booked three rooms at the hotel for family. The hotel could use a bit of cleanup as there were stains on the carpet and some wear and tear. However, the front desk staff was awesome. Specifically, TyAngela was extremely knowledgeable, patient, and helpful. I alsohad family stay at a nearby Hampton Inn Park 100 and they had a very bad experience because of the front desk staff. It makes a difference. Thanks TyAngela.

We needed a place to stay on our road trip and this was a good location. I usually think all Fairfield are consistent in not being luxurious but clean simple. This was not. Very dark and dated rooms. Ours had a funny odor like mold.
Would recommend staying elsewhere.

We stayed at this hotel overnight in January 2020. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean, and the beds were relatively comfortable for a hotel. If we need to stay overnight in Indianapolis again we will choose this hotel.
