When overnighting in the Ft. Wayne area, we always stay at the BW Luxbury Inn. It has a great location at the junction of I-69 and US 24 (Jefferson Ave), is close to restaurants and less than 10 minutes from major shopping malls. Best for us, it's pet friendly! We had a king, Room 139, nextto the exit which makes walking our dog so much easier. Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet.

only real complaint is this hotel needs to be cleaner. several things were left by last guest and missed. TV did not work but we didn't notice until the morning when we were leaving. only 1 micro wave in the lobby for all guests to heat up microwave breakfast provided

Our visist at BW was very relaxing and nice. The noise from other guest was kept to a minimum, which we had bad experiences at other hotels. The hall did not smell of mildew, which we also experience at other hotels. The lobby was always clean and pleasant.

We moved to MI a few months ago and come back to FWA frequently to visit kids/grands. We would normally stay at one of the nearby Hilton properties as I’ve been a loyal Hilton Hhonors for 30 years (130+ nights/year for past 30 years) but we had earned $100 in BW gift cards during previous stays here by my wife. She stayed here because we couldn’t earn Hhonor points at two different hotels on same night.

Upon checking in, neither of the ladies at the front desk were wearing masks. One introduced herself as the manager. At no time, during our two night stay, was a front desk attendant wearing a mask. Most of the housekeeping staff we encountered were not either. When guests see this they don’t wear them either which seemed to be the case for most of the guests!

Our room was in need of a deep cleaning. Mold in a lot of the tile grout in shower. Dust in most of cracks and crevices throughout the room. Furniture outdated. Mattress was firm and comfortable.

All in all, not terrible but certainly below the quality standards I’m accustomed to. Due to below average cleanliness and lack of COVID-19 safe practices, we won’t be staying here in the future. With the gift card redemption, our room came to about $50.00 per night which seems about right for this property.

There was this movie some years back - about a guy with disgusting habits, who lived in a filthy apartment, and had hundreds of little gross roommates. I think he stays at Best Western Hotels when he travels. And, I think i found his room at the BW Luxbury Inn, Fort Wayne Indiana! I think you get what I am saying. Short story: one night rest stop on a long road trip. Wife and I show up late (around 10pm) and want to rest. Unfortunately, the room they gave us had little critters living there already. The only offer to rectify the situation was the owner telling us he would give us a different room. Now, why would I want a different room in a hotel where it is clear thry already have a problem? Probably in multiple rooms. Why would I want That? I ended up having to scramble to find another place to sleep, at a higher cost, and lost valuable time and rest, thanks to them. The only positives I can offer is thst the night manager did truly seem sorry (even though she had no power and had to call the owner) and the owner emailed me later to apologize (and offer a bunch of excuses). Man, I know things are tough all over and many of us are overworked and struggling. But in the hotel biz - you NEED to keep rooms clean and guests feeling like they matter and are valued - if you want to make it. I did not feel valued. I did not feel thst the staff and owner did enough to help me. It was a disgusting fiasco. Avoid!

As you can see on this site, we have about 686 reviews and 4.5 star rating. I hope you will agree that it won't happen by chance. Guest satisfaction is very important to us. As we have been discussing this issue on various forums and review websites and emails, I have no new information to share with you. I understand you are angry and upset and we sincerely apologize. I am glad you recognize that hotels (along with restaurants and some other industries) have suffered significantly due to COVID-19 related restrictions for the past 18 months and now suffering severely because of staff shortages. We are doing everything we can and exploring all options to maintain our service levels even during these severe staff shortages across the country. For a 2 queen guestroom and arriving at 9PM the total cost was about $140. Our room smelled of musky old men with a hint of mold. It was no where near worth the price that was paid for the night. The breakfast had great choices and the speed of check in was unusually slow. If you are a rewards member and at the highest tier, they do not recognize you for that nor thank you for your business. You also will not receive any complimentary gift for it. Not even a cheap bottle of water. But never have i received a gift yet at any Best Western Hotel for being a top tier member.

This place, in my opinion, is awful! I’ve traveled 130+ nights/year for the past 30 years. This is probably the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had both in quality of the facility and level of customer service…no question! I had accumulated some BW points over the years, from trips to a BW in Juneau, AK. I decided to use some of them on this trip. With the exception the property in Juneau, AK that I stayed in several times/year, I have had extremely poor experiences at any other BW I have stayed in over the years. Got here and was informed that the elevator was out…we were assigned a second floor room and had lots of bags we didn’t want to leave in the car overnight so we had to carry them all up. Okay, we’ll deal with it. Walked into the room and it smelled like stale cigarette smoke. Carpet was filthy as indicated after walking around the room in my white socks. Several holes in the ceiling. Iron had scorch marks all over it. Wi-Fi signal was fine…as long as I stood by the door. Anywhere else and it was terrible on all four of our devices. The back on the chair at the desk was broken. Came back from dinner and key wouldn’t work on the door closest to our vehicle and the end of the building our room was on. Had to walk all the way around to the front entrance and when I said something, front desk clerk indicated that it was an exit door only, no entrance. One would think that a sign indicating the same would be displayed to inform guests of this. The only sign outside the door was “key card required for entry.” The real kicker, after returning from dinner, was a note indicating that the water would be off from 3am-3pm tomorrow and that we should take our shower tonight. I went down to the front desk and told the clerk that this was unacceptable and that had we been told this when we checked in that we would have left immediately. His reply was that it was too late to cancel and we would lose our points! REALLY! You allow a customer to check in without telling them that you would be turning the water off and that we would not be able to shower in the morning. We could have slept in our car at a rest stop and received a better value than we got here! What a joke this place is! I will never stay in a BW property again and will be canceling my BW Rewards Account and forfeiting my remaining points. It’s back to Hilton & IHG properties exclusively for me in the future! Based on my 30 years travel experience and close to 4,000 hotel nights, the worst Hilton and IHG properties are far better than this property!

Stayed here one night, the breakfast buffet was very good including bacon, potatoes, eggs, biscuits and gravy, waffles, and many more options. The room was very clean and seem to have been somewhat recently renovated. The beds were comfortable. Very good option for the price.

We had a tournament for my daughters basketball so I called the hotel on Tuesday the 15th 2022 to inform the hotel that I might not need Saturday night because I had a child of ours who might be released from the hospital on Saturday afternoon so I would have to drive home Saturday and not be able to spend the night. It is a 4 hr drive back so the Front Desk person (Jimmy I believe) informed me that not to worry and that I could do this on Friday when I arrived. I called the front desk and spoke to the lady working Friday late morning BEFORE I even checked in the hotel of the situation and she said No Problem and she'll see me when I came in to check in. I came there at Noon and was told the room would not be ready for 2 hrs so I left and then when I came back she informed me that I was going to be charged for Saturday even if I did not stay because it was too late to cancel. I told her my story and she said there was nothing she could do. I called the number she gave me to talk to corporate and they pretty much told me there was nothing they could do either and it was up to the manager. There was NO Manager on site and wouldn't be until Monday. She told me that a manager would call me back and NO manager ever did. I handed the front desk the keys at 11:15am on Saturday morning the 19th and checked out and drove 4 hrs home. I was then still charged for a night I DID NOT EVEN SPEND there. No calls, No care whatsoever, I was told not to cancel that Tuesday and to come in Friday and I could do it then so in case I needed that room for Saturday it would still be there for me. I was misinformed by 2 front desk workers and this is not my fault. I deserve a refund for the Saturday I was NOT there and for being taken advantage of. Worst experience of my life at a hotel the way i was and am being treated !

My wife booked a king handicap accessible room thru the BW app and got the confirmation emailed to her. We went to the property and they put me in a double. I asked to be moved to a king handicap accessible and was told I didn't book a king and would need to pay $20 more. I showed him my confirmation that was emailed to me showing a king handicap but he refused and was very rude to me. I asked for a manager and he told me he was the manager. We had words and he promised a refund of to my card and had me leave the property. The receipt he gave me even shows a KING room which I was told I couldn't have without paying more. I have screen shots of everything I booked and what was provided to me. I am a Diamond member with Choices and Wyndham. I was only staying again at this hotel because I stayed there 1 other time before. I will never stay at another BW again because of this man’s actions. I went next door to the Comfort Inn South and stayed there. I should have booked there to begin with. Stay clear of this hotel!
