Vera! Vera! Vera! We’ve stayed in hotels all over the world and have never paid for our morning coffee! Seriously what are you thinking??? Either please put a coffee machine in the room or at least have a. Complimentary pot!! We have an early flight to the airport tomorrow and no shuttle!! And almost impossible to get Uber at this time. Tried the Birdie bar and slow service with help standing around and very little personality. Rooms are nice but hotel needs to add a few amenities. Would much rather coffee than a bike!

My wife and I stayed at The Bradley for the first time this past weekend and it was without a doubt, an excellent hotel. Having stayed at hundreds of hotels around the world, The Bradley offers outstanding comfort and quality. The bed was extremely comfortable. Room decor was incredible with more than just the standard amenities. The thought behind the design and functionality was excellent and you won't need to listen to the AC cycling on and off, since it's always quietly on keeping the air fresh. The entire staff was incredibly friendly, helpful, and really worked hard to make sure guests were comfortable. Like all businesses, the hotel is still not at full staff and many are working well beyond their job descriptions to make sure guests are happy. The main restaurant is still not fully open, but limited food service is available. Food options we had were excellent and with the quality coming from the chefs, I expect the restaurant to be fantastic. 'Birdies', the rooftop bar is really nice and the atmosphere is very relaxing, especially with a cocktail in hand. This will be a great hotel for couples or families visiting Fort Wayne or for those looking to hold private functions. The Bradley is centrally located in Fort Wayne and within walking distance to historic sites and other venues. I highly recommend The Bradley!

For our wedding anniversary my wife and I decided on a trying the new highly touted Bradley boutique hotel. From the start this was a big and expensive mistake. Parking instructions were incorrect and out of frustration I excepted the $20.00 per day valet parking. The room was large and furnished well except that it lacked clear instruction or information on the facility and surrounding opportunities. We found the small refrigerator in an overheated cabinet that was to hot to chill our celebratory champagne. In my search for ice I ended up downstairs where they directed me to a hidden cooler on my floor that once found was full of water and plastic bags that looked like an aquarium where all of the gold fish had escaped. The air conditioning system was loud and the sound of a pump cycled every ten seconds or so. When I questioned the front desk I was told that the system was new and that there were a few bugs that needed to be worked out. Needless to say a good night's sleep was not possible with the sound of a sump-pump kicking in every 10 seconds. The next surprise came at 3:00 pm the next day when we returned to a room that wasn't made up. The desk said that they didn't make up rooms for multiple night stays. (An extra roll of toilet paper would be a nice touch with this policy.) We did enjoy some very nice meals a nearby restaurants because there is limited food available in this boutique hotel and nothing at all between 2:00PM - 5:00PM. (not even a vending machine that we could find) . All of that said we could have saved several hundred dollars at any one of several optional hotels in the area and enjoyed much better service.

Dear F517QKbill, First off, Happy 51st again, I am grateful that you shared your special occasion with us. As we talked at the desk, we do apologize for the inconsistencies in your experience, they are certainly not what is indicative of a stay with us should be. I assure you that we are working on each and every issues you brought to us, including directional signage for ice, a fix for the HVAC unit on the roof that is kicking on incorrectly (which we found based on your feedback). Our digital concierge Paige, should have included a link to our hotel amenities page when we texted your welcome text upon check in, if this was not pointed out by our team, I apologize. In the end, we may fail, but we never shy from our mistakes and we work hard to rectify them for yourself and future guests. I hope that you can come back and stay with us again to show you the progress we have made. Sincerely, Zach Miller

The smart money is clearly betting on Fort Wayne, and showing it with investments in revitalizing downtown. The Bradley is all new construction, and across the street is a hole in the ground that will be another high-rise - there's a lot of construction still underway. You can self-park at the Skyline Garage a block away, opposite Cindy's Diner, for $4 a day paid when you leave, or self park and then pay the hotel $14 a day for them to add it to your hotel bill. Valet parking is in the same garage for $20 a day. If you arrive after dark you might decide you don't want to navigate the construction zone between hotel and garage in the dark, There's a convenient load/unload lane immediately outside the main entrance, and staff right there to help carry in bags, bicycles, or whatever you need assistance with. In the foyer "air lock" you'll see the hotel provided bicycles for free guest use should you desire. As soon as you're inside you'll have an excellent sense for the design aesthetic of The Bradley - and it's beautiful. Billed as "Mid Western elegance" I'd suggest this is much more mid-century Modern/Scandinavian - it reminded us of the décor of Viking Cruise ships, and that's very positive. Everywhere you look there are thoughtful touches, well chosen fabrics, woods, metals, and stone - it's really lovely. At check-in you'll receive a completely blank room card, and your room number will be texted to you - I imagine seen as a security/privacy measure? Any questions you have (such as how to access wifi or for a copy of your receipt) are handled via a virtual concierge texted through the same number. We had a King room, which continued the same gorgeous decorating themes seen elsewhere. Well coordinated colors, fabrics, materials - this is a hotel that is beautiful in its details and considerations, rather than acres of chrome or gold. The bathroom continued the quality design and construction, with ample space, light, and ventilation. A huge improvement over what had been our Fort Wayne staple previously, over at the Convention Center. Towels and bed linens were of very high quality throughout. There's plenty of hanging space, in a cleverly designed "open" closet that is highly functional, and multiple drawers and work surfaces where you need them. The niggles: The ventilation control panel is absurdly bright at night, and illuminates the entire room. We tried hanging a hat over it to block the light, as it made sleep challenging. Continuing with the ventilation system, it seemed to have only one speed : hovercraft lift fan. The air intake noise through the filter opening above the room door was impressively loud - in the bathroom the vent intake positively whistled with the volume of air it was pulling. Turning the entire system off made no difference - it was LOUD. I don't know why some hotels don't provide any way to make tea or coffee in the room - perhaps so you're forced to pay for it from the café downstairs? A definite negative for us. In theory there is room service, but no easy way to find out what is available or how to order it. I guess I'm supposed to text the virtual concierge, but that seems more difficult than simply providing a menu. We couldn't try the rooftop bar/restaurant, because it was closed for a private party which we could just about hear through the ceiling of our 4th floor room. We had breakfast at the main floor café, which requires you to bend over and peer at a single menu immediately in front of the register, holding up anyone behind you while you try to decide what to have. You then take your table number and find a spot to sit. Because there's no real table service there are no condiments on the table, water wasn't provided, and there are no coffee refills - coffee comes only in a to-go cup. If the server misses an item from your order - as happened to us - you have to walk back around to the order desk to ask for it to be addressed, as there's no one coming to check in on you after everything is delivered. On the positive side, the food was excellent - everything points to a kitchen that makes from scratch as much as possible, rather than relying on frozen "country fries" as quite common. We will happily stay at The Bradley again the next time we're in Fort Wayne, and have recommended it to friends. This is a beautiful, comfortable, well situated hotel. As a side note you may wish to decide how strongly you feel about founder and Chairman of Provenance Hotels, Gordon Sondland - a quick Google will give you all the background there.

Dear Kevin C, Thank you for staying with us and for taking the time to share your experience with us. Feedback from our guests are the most important to us and you have certainly done that. I am happy to hear that we delivered an overall amazing experience, though I understand we do have some things to work on. We have since your stay, addressed (we hope) the screen brightness for all thermostats, as your comment was not the only one. Additionally, we try and make sure to text our guests ahead of time about any F&B closures for private events, but sometimes sadly, we don't have the right phone number prior to arrival, I'm sorry we missed you on this. We do regret that our staffing levels are lower than we would like right now, though we are trying to deliver a great experience even with reduced hours and availability, but I assure you, day by day we are working to improve our efforts. I hope that next time you come to stay with us, you will see an even better experience, perhaps one that is worthy of the extra star. Sincerely, Zach Miller

Met at the check in lane on the street with two options. $20 a day valet service or $14 a day off site parking. Moving on to the room: No amenities whatsoever! No housekeeping, phone, water or coffee in the room. No soft drink vending machines or ice. (I did catch an employee in the hall and he fished a half melted bag of ice from a cooler) Beds terribly uncomfortable with 4 hard pillows. The TV remote was a chore to navigate. Checked out early! Great Anniversary Stay! Not!

Dear 457Dan, We are very sorry to hear that we missed the mark for your stay. We are trying hard to navigate opening this hotel amidst COVID, and shipping delays for products, leaving unfortunately some challenges in getting our minibar and water program installed. The phones are by design as we encourage everyone to freely text/call us 24-hours a day from the convenience of their cell phones rather than use a phone that everyone has used in the past, we are sorry if this was not to your expectation. Our beds are generally loved by many, but we are sorry this was not the case for you. In the end, we will continue to work on improving our delivery and execution here in the hopes that yourself and others may have an amazing experience at The Bradley. Sincerely, Zach Miller
