Nestled in a prime location close to the airport, Loews Chicago O’Hare Hotel garners acclaim for its shuttle convenience and exceptional service, with staff members receiving compliments for their friendliness and professionalism. While opinions on value are divided—some guests appreciate special offers, others are put off by high costs—the hotel's cleanliness is consistently celebrated. The rooms are noted for their space and comfort, despite occasional noise issues and wear. While the stylish ambiance is generally appreciated, some guests find the decor a tad dark.

Best park and stay for sure! Queen beds (most in the area have double beds). Comfortable, shuttle that came every 15 minutes (I would say even more often but possibly because it was Spring Break week). Accommodating with a rollaway bed. Great restaurant/bar and my son left his running watch and it was turned in my cleaning staff so we got that back easily. I've stayed at so many park and stays in Chicago and this is my go to now.

Excellent Maid service and clean rooms. The rooms are wonderfully appointed Ted with plush comforters and pillows, very comfortable beds for a wonderful night sleep. Lots of room for working ans eating in the room with counter pace for laptops an a comfy chair with footstool and side table for eating, relaxing, make up and working. I had teens with me and we had plenty of space.
Rooms were very clean with cups individually wrapped, toiletries refilled everyday and even the remote was sanitized and wrapped. So many outlets/USB ports and lights with focus on detail that included cotton swabs, a make up mirror and more.
Again our daily housekeeper spent so much time on detail and it was so clean. It was nice to have the Starbucks with convenient store insight and using the business center was easy but pricey. Lots of hand sanitizer throughout the bldg and parking was so easy. My one suggestion is better wifi available for free. If you need to do a lot of streaming or downloading you have to upgrade to a pay per day which I think is a bit price gouging.
The train Station, convention center and Chicagi Mall are all within walking distance too

This location is reasonably close to O'Hare airport. Most likely do to Covid protocols, it was not crowded at all. The staff was pleasant and provided all of the information that I needed for my stay. We arrived late in the evening and left at about mid morning the next day. One thing in the description is the location of the shuttle. You literally have to leave the entire building area of O'Hare and walk across the street to a location that is called Shuttle Center (Door 2). It is not what you might think. Once you realize that you must walk across the street, there is an area where shuttles are staged to take you to what ever hotel you need to go. The "Door 2" location references the "doors" marked on the building at the shuttle location.

The front desk is spacious and they seem to be following Covid precautions. The desk area is spaced out far enough for you to feel comfortable enough to approach without feeling crowded from anyone next to or behind you. Once past the desk to the rooms, the room has electronic door locks (love those). There are all of the basic amenities in the room such as toiletries, ironing board and iron, coffee machine, etc. For a short stay, this was perfect. The bed was very comfortable and the room furniture seemed of good quality and up to date.

Unfortunately, I was not able to try room service, but it was late enough to not be hungry. There is also a nice hidden safe in the room that I almost didn't see until it was time to check out.

Over all, this is a nice hotel for a short stay. I'd definitely recommend this to all of my friends.

When we checked in we were sent to a dirty room. Given the current climate with health and safety regulations we were very upset. All that was offered was a $50 dining credit. That evening we ordered room service, when our food arrived items were missing and we were not given silverware to eat our food with. We called down and about 20 minutes later we received silverware but not the missing items. When I contacted the front desk they did not offer us anything for the inconvenience. I was very upset and and said that we were not willing to pay for the food, as by the time we received silverware the food was cold and items we requested were still missing. The front desk woman abruptly said, "fine, bye" and hung up on me. I did not want to stay another night at the hotel, but my husband said to give you a second chance and we hoped you'd make it right...well you didn't and we will never choose this hotel in the future or recommend it to other travelers. Severely disappointed.

This hotel was a true discovery for us. Conveniently located (and with shuttle service), new, modern, stylish, super comfortable and with great and attentive staff. We loved our stylish spacious room, modern bathroom, new beds, bedsheets and towels. We order in room service and table with white cloth arrived, with great food and wine - we felt we are on romantic dinner, after 1+ year of brown bags and minimized service. We will look no further when need to stay near ORD.

I was in town for my graduate school residency and their pick for February meeting was awful. I chose the Loews even though I knew I would be paying more by picking a different hotel than where the seminars were held (no school discount), plus the Uber costs each day. I was there from Thursday to Monday.

My only complaint was the restaurant’s food, which was overpriced and underwhelming. I ordered room service one night and it arrived quickly, but was hardly worth the money. I honestly made out better ordering DoorDash. Other than that it was a great experience. I was gone from 7:45am to 5:00pm and the room was cleaned every day with new linens in the bathroom as well. There were no signs of wear and more importantly the hotel was quiet, despite being full due to a conference being held there. This was my first stay alone, and never once did I feel unsafe. I checked in online and the process wasn’t five minutes from arrival to getting into my room. Check out was just as easy. I won’t lie, when I think about the cost compared to my classmates that stayed at the school’s chosen location, I payed $700 more. The money was well worth it; if I am ever in the area I know where to stay and I’ve been happy to tell everyone how great the service was.

The staff was very friendly. The room was clean and I did get the sense that it was disinfected. However, I know from watching "bad hotel" video on TV that one issue is that the comforters on the beds are rarely, if ever cleaned. The sheets are changed but not the comforters. It would make me feel a lot better if I knew that the comforters were at least sprayed with Lysol. That way when I sit on the edge, I can be assured that I'm not encountering germs from someone who's not as careful as I am. We also had an issue with the room service app. Because the restaurant was closed (and we had a $25 credit toward food & beverage) we tried to order using the app - with no success. Upon checking out, the front desk clerk was able to credit us for the parking fee - which we thought would've been included in the stay since we had to validate the parking anyway - obviously not. Overall, a good stay. The bed was very comfortable. The room was quiet. the staff were professional and friendly. The hallways and elevators were very clean. As a matter of fact, I saw a maintenance man disinfecting one of the elevators. Excellent. Other than that, we had no additional information on extraordinary cleaning protocols.

I was in the area for a medical visit and wanted a nice room to recover and relax. The pictures on the website with cool grey colors appeared to meet my needs perfectly. Unfortunately, I was wrong. The first thing noticeable in the room was a bright red chair covered in white stains. One can only imagine what fluids may have left the scattered white stains. Disgusting. A relaxing shower was high on my list of needs, but the holes in the rain shower were all dirty and blocked, causing a wild spray that covered the entire bathroom with water. Each time I showered, I had to spread towels all all over the floor so I didn't need to spend time sopping up water. The bathroom was equipped only with a rain shower, so my two options were to remain dry, or get completely drenched. I was able to find one spot in the shower that offered an even, comfortable spray, but I had to stand at the front of the shower with my nose pressed against the wall. Starbucks coffee was a nice idea; however, Queenie the barista apparently does not like her job and it shows. No greeting when entering the store, argued when she got our order wrong and put almond milk right into the frothing pitcher without cleaning or rinsing it after using whole milk. Thankfully for me, almond milk is just a preference, If I had an allergy, I'd probably be dead. I opted for the eStandard upgrade that promised,"higher floors with views of the surrounding area" but was on the 6th floor with a view of the roof and a parking lot. I suppose, technically, these things surround the area, but they weren't quite what I had in mind when opting for the upgrade. The room, priced at $167(before taxes and fees) was absolutely unacceptable. In fact, the entire stay was unacceptable and not what I expect when choosing a Loews hotel for my lodging needs.

We pulled up to the Loews O'Hare Hotel about a week ago, stopping at the large porte chochere so as to be able to unload our bags before going inside to register. We had a reservation. Now, at most upscale hotels, a hotel employee will often approach the car to welcome guests and offer help with bags. Not here. My husband and I stepped out of our car to unload our luggage. Before we could, an employee ordered my husband to pull our car forward, away from the canopy, and into a snowy spot farther away, why I do not know. There was no one else in the large porte chochere at all; it was large enough for 4-5 cars plus a shuttle, but no one else was there.
I had a couple of my items in my hands as I then approached our car's trunk to grab more items, when suddenly I was on the ground, hitting my knees and forehead on the ground, having slipped on the snow which had not been cleared. I was stunned and in pain.
I don't know what Loews thinks the porte chochere is for, if not for arriving guests. Also, their only concern seemed to be that I could take them to court for my injury, not in changing their policies or hospitality.

We’ve stayed at many park sleep and fly hotels but their rates seem to really go up. This hotel was recommended a few years back and we finally decided to stay here.

I would recommend booking directly through the hotel to get the best rate so you don’t have to hassle with cancelation fees that third party vendors may charge. I believe the hotel package is called Explore Chicago. One of the reasons we chose Loew’s hotel was for the covered parking. When we stayed at another hotel a few years ago, our car was buried in snow when we returned from vacation!

The front desk people were friendly and welcoming. I also pre checked in online via an email which was really convenient and easy to do. I was glad the front desk staff informed us that it was a high travel day and that we should allow more time for the morning shuttle bus. Only recommendation is that they should hand out (or email/text) return shuttle information/maps so we know how to get back to the hotel after the trip.

Rooms are nice and clean and quiet. The shower pressure was amazing. The little fridge in the room was actually COLD so it kept our snacks fresh. They also have nice lounging robes to wear.

Overall, very happy with the hotel park sleep fly package. We will stay here again.

How large is the shuttle? We have a large group that needs to be transported to the airport.
Answer from mauiwahine
Wisconsin782 contributions65 helpful votes
The people running the shuttle ask how many are in your group to keep you together. I just wish these shuttle systems would do a “take a number” because some people sit inside and the ones who get the shuttle are the ones who have to either wait outside or inside the entrance doors. We actually woke up extra early because the registration staff informed us it was a busy travel day and to allow 1/2 hour to catch one.
