Poor customer service, I changed 3 rooms, front desk didn’t care much about the customer feedback and one wasn’t polite. I had a package shipped to me and it arrived the morning of Friday at the front desk and every day I ask about it they ignore they received it. I waited until Monday and called the shipper and they confirmed it’s delivery (because I didn’t have the tracking number) when I called the front desk on Monday and told them that you must received it according to the UPS they FOUND it !!!!! But guess what? It’s too late and already checked out from that poor hotel. Besides the closest door was off the track and they kept promising they will send me some one to fix it and it took them 3 days to do that after many reminders !!! So I had to carry my important stuff with me everywhere because apparently I couldn’t open the safe door or use it!! The toilet seat wasn’t clean the day I checked in and I called front desk and told them and no body cared!! She didn’t even say sorry and neither sent anyone to clean it!!

Myself and my mum are currently staying at this hotel, first time in chicago and was looking forward to staying here, we had read great reviews and it also had an added bonus of having an onsite bar and resturant. So we arrived about 5 hours ago when we checked in we were told the bar and restaurant were closed until March, not a good start as we enjoy having a little night cap before bed and before going for dinner in the evening, we had not been notified prior to our stay , if we had of been we would of probably changed hotels, hence why you are not notified i suppose. We got to our room, the room is fine, there are no problems with the room at all, but we noticed there is no Safe, my mum went down to reception to query this as it states on the website that there is safes, they said they would bring one up, 5 hours later still no safe, my mum has just this minute rang down to reception to ask again for a safe, the lady who answered said "there is no safes" my mum said they had told us they would bring one up she said "well you won't be getting one because they are not set up for any rooms" then hung up, this is not very good customer service and we are only 5 hours in, I will update this post as the days go on but so far very unimpressed.

It's unfortunate to learn that your stay has not lived up to your expectations. We understand the disappointment caused by the temporary closure of our dining amenities, which we assure you is for the best interest of our guests. We also apologize for any confusion about the safes in our rooms. Your feedback regarding this matter and customer service is important to us. Rest assured, we are taking your comment on board to improve our communication and service delivery. We hope you can make the most out of your remaining time in Chicago.

Room: It was clean and quiet - all I wanted for a staycation! I could crack open the window in my room; this was much appreciated as I’m someone who likes fresh air. Hotel Location: Easy to access via the Red Line. Lots of convenience stores and restaurants nearby. Surprisingly quiet part of downtown Chicago.

I would rate this zero stars if I could it's a terrible hotel full of black mold, bed bugs and is HAUNTED!! Don't give me started on the parking scams. you can't find it on Google maps, Apple Maps, etc it shows it on a completely different street so that should've been my first red flag. After check in I noticed I was experiencing allergies. Upon checked the restroom and the lining above the door was a full of black mold!!! I went to go get a room change and when I showed them the black mold pictures all they had to say was "you must be on the top floor". they told me they couldn't provide a new room because it was too late at night and they were booked. I left came back a few hours later, pleaded with the front desk & they gave me another room. Had to buy new clothing, toothbrush, etc. because all my things got covered in mold spores. I had two interactions with people entering my room unexpectedly the "do not disturb" sign means "come on in" to the maid service. (Side note: I wouldn't bring anything valuable here if you intend on keeping it) Both the front desk receptionist I spoke with as well as the hospitality manager I waited an hour to talk to. Best the manager could do was refund my $20 "Destination fee" which I wasn't even aware I was charged to begin with. The manager also stated that another manger would be calling me on 1/22 to address my concerns, this never happened. It has been over a week since I left the hotel and I am still feeling unwell from the mold exposure. Do not go here! They do not care if you get sick you're just another $$$ to them!!!

36 year history comes to an end. I have been staying is this hotel for 36 years and never again will I stay here. A group of 7 of us booked here for the AHR show. Nowhere did they advise us that the restaurant is closed, the bar is closed, no coffee in room, no coffee on premises, no minibar, no snacks..literally nothing available. Then on day 2 maid service told me if I don’t leave my room by 11 they won’t clean it. Then, the final straw, after 36 years, well over 1000 nights booked here and Millennium Broadway in New York, they want to charge $30 an hour for a late check out! In an era where customer loyalty is the key to success, this hotel has gone out of their way to destroy the relationship with the customer.

Convenient location by Water Tower Place and Magnificent Mile. Hotel interior was clean but not dated. Big minus was lack of dining facilities onsite! Had to walk outside in below zero temperatures for breakfast, even though website mentioned dining was available! Was advised that they would reopen by March.

It is a classic hotel within walking distance of quite a few things. Older, but clean. Counter space in the bathroom is always a must and there was plenty. Invigorating shower head. The elevators worked, and the front desk staff was pleasant. The price was right for a quick getaway. David the doorman is just perfect!
