The Park Hyatt Chicago garners acclaim for its comfortable and modern rooms with stunning views, though a few guests note occasional noise and service hiccups. Many visitors are charmed by the hotel's stylish atmosphere, complete with heated bathroom floors and chic decor.
Its prime location near the Magnificent Mile is a highlight for guests, as is the spotless cleanliness throughout the property. While opinions on value vary, the professional service and luxurious amenities, including a spa and high-quality dining, frequently receive high praise from travelers.

Detailed Reviews
A walking-distance away from the magnificent mile area where I have stayed during previous visits to Chicago stands, the Park Hyatt Chicago. While this was my first time staying in a Park Hyatt hotel, it has been on my bucket list for some time. Thus, with high expectations going into the stay, the hotel and their staff still managed to exceed them.
Upon entering the hotel, one is greeted by the hotel dog, who is dawning a formal scarf and a offers a welcoming face. The hotel lobby is tastefully designed and decorated to the standard one would expect from a hotel of its class. The staff are remarkable from the front desk to management. At check-in the gentlemen behind the desk made the process seamless and enthusiastically offered suggestions, upon request, for places to dine in the area.
At the generosity of the hotel management, we received a complementary upgrade to a Park Hyatt suite. The room was a corner room with one and a half bathrooms, a living area, and separate bedroom. The room was spacious and refined in all aspects. The bathroom presented with both a large soaking tub and a marble shower, as well as some unexpected features such as a television set inside of the mirror. The windows drew down blackout curtains at night at the push of a button and the room was quiet from outside noise.
In terms of location, the hotel was within walking distance of many fine restaurants and steps from Navy Pier, but even at the furthest points only a 10-minute drive from further away destinations.
If one is visiting Chicago and seeking a luxury destination to complement a relaxing getaway, then I would hands down recommend the Park Hyatt as the hotel. Of course, once you have experienced the luxury of a Park hotel, it will be difficult to ever settle for less as part of future travels.

The Park Hyatt is every bit as luxurious as all the other top end hotels in Chicago (Four Seasons, Peninsula, etc) but it has the prime plus location. No other hotel has a view toward the lake of this hotel. It is located in a perfect location for walking access to top end restaurants and shopping. They are as accommodating as possible with early check ins and late check outs without charging extra.
One of the most unheralded perks of this hotel is the size of the rooms, especially relative to the price. A one bedroom "Executive" suite at the Four Seasons, for example, is 575 SF. The 900 SF Executive Suite at the Hyatt is about $100 more but so much roomier. However the real value comes with the standard rooms where the Park Hyatt gets you rooms that are over 150 SF larger for less money than the Four Seasons.
With all amenities being equal, for a vacation trip where you're looking to spoil yourself and your family, as much as I LOVE the Four Seasons, the Park Hyatt's rooms absolutely crush the ones at the Four Seasons.
The staff at both are amazing. The quality of in-house amenities and foodservice are both top notch. I'd give the Four Seasons a 5 star as well but all things being equal I'd stay at the Park Hyatt.

Service has always been terrific.
For Globablist they have room service for breakfast for a small delivery fee. They are still working through the pandemic issues so they dont have the little snacks downstairs, and they dont have a concierge back yet.
Centrally located to shopping.
They do need to wash the windows.

First time back since their $60M renovation, and I was really impressed. The renovations were extensive, well conceived, and well executed. Though you'll definitely still recognize the lobby the upper floors feel brand new.
They moved interior walls and reconfigured rooms to go from 9 Suites to 36, so there are now more interesting options to choose from (and upgrade Globalists to). We booked a Premium Suite with points which slotted us into a Gold Coast Suite. I thought it was a terrific room in general, and in particular for a family. The foldout Queen Sofa + rollaway was comfortable for our boys. The suite overall is incredibly well appointed. Sophisticated and very guest-friendly.
Breakfast at NoMI was fantastic as well. Globalists get $50 for adults and $25 for kids allows for a great breakfast with good variety in a terrific space. Service was outstanding across the board at the hotel, but especially at breakfast.
With this renovation complete I think the Park Hyatt Chicago is once again one of the top hotels in Chicago.

This is for the Hotel manager, Conceirge and the very kind lady that made sure we were taken care of every time we returned back to our room.
We are absolutely thrilled to share our extraordinary experience at the Park Hyatt Chicago, a true gem among the Hyatt collection. As seasoned travelers who have explored Hyatt establishments across the globe, particularly the renowned Park Hyatt destinations, we can confidently assert that this Chicago location reigns supreme.
From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in a world of personalized service and impeccable attention to detail. The caliber of the rooms, coupled with the array of top-tier amenities, paints a picture of opulence that few can match. The genuine warmth and extraordinary hospitality extended by every member of the staff elevated our stay to unparalleled heights – a testament to their unwavering commitment to excellence.
Our journey commenced with a delightful exchange with the ever-helpful Concierge, Kristen, whose thoughtful email correspondence set the tone for our stay. Inquiring about our children’s ages and names, as well as the purpose of our visit, Kristen showcased a level of dedication that is truly commendable.
Through Kristen’s introduction, we had the distinct pleasure of connecting with Hotel Manager Shawn – a true embodiment of hospitality at its finest. Having engaged with numerous hotel managers over our years of globetrotting, Shawn stands out as a paragon of kindness, grace, and genuine assistance.
The hotel itself boasts a captivating ambiance, where each room exudes a sense of immaculate cleanliness and boasts tasteful furnishings of the highest caliber. The Le Labo amenities provided an exquisite touch of luxury, elevating our comfort to new heights. The meticulously designed bathrooms and the inclusion of a bidet created an atmosphere of lavishness that North American hotels often aspire to, yet rarely achieve.
In summation, the Park Hyatt Chicago has indelibly left its mark on us, leaving an insatiable desire to return on each visit to this magnificent city. Without question, we wholeheartedly anticipate future stays and eagerly look forward to rekindling the magic that only this exceptional establishment can offer.

My wife and I spent three nights in the recently remodeled Park Hyatt. Our room was a Park Suite on the 6th floor.
Upon arrival we were met by a very gracious bell staff member and escorted to check in. We met the resident Dog “Parker” while checking in to the beautiful; understated lobby. This is a quiet, understated luxury hotel not on of the larger 100+ room hotels in CHICAGO allowing the staff to fifer a more personal experience.
The suite was one of the nicest my wife and I have stayed in. The bathroom was huge with heated floors, large bath/shower with rain head and soaking tub, deprecate wash closet with a automated Toto toilet, separate living space with a large couch, bar, and large television, and a King bedroom.
We had breakfast each morning at Nomi on the 7th floor. Beautiful dinning overlooking the water tower with exceptional food and service. During our stay, we did not meet one staff member who did not go out of there way to make our stay special.
The previous week I stayed at the Langham for the first time and considered it to be the best I had experienced in Chicago. I have to say the Park Hyatt now takes the top spot mainly due to the people and excellent intimate property and location.
Highly recommend.

For $700 a night in a dog-friendly hotel I would expect the stains to be removed from the carpet and window seat cushions. The sink drain was broken. No snack or beverage was offered. The toiletries smelled horridly. No pen or paper. The boring, brown decor was a big disappointment The mattress was really great. The restaurant’s food was fabulous.

From the moment we checked in everything was perfect for our stay. The very helpful bellmen who always greeted us and asked if we needed recommendations, directions, etc to the amazing front desk staff (always smiling) who went above and beyond. We were able to check into our rooms early which was wonderful, the rooms were sparkling clean and just gorgeous. The bed was so comfortable- best sleep ever. Housekeeping was done so well, and the hotel in general is in such great shape it feels like it’s brand new. All staff are so pleasant and what a testament to the general manager. Everyone here is happy and I highly recommend this hotel for the location, the staff and the truly luxurious experience!

Can't say enough good things about the Park Hyatt Chicago. The design and attention to detail was impeccable. Service outstanding. Food delicious. And restaurant views spectacular. The sunrise views from the restaurant for breakfast made a great start to the day, and the service was always at the exact right pace - fast for breakfast if needed, and relaxed when it was clear I was there to linger. The rooms are similarly attended to - fresh new bar amenities, refilled ice buckets, premium teas etc. And the pool was excellent for lap swimming, and warm enough to relax in if that were the purpose for the swim. Would gladly return for work or pleasure.

My children were 9 and 7 years old, but the bed wasn't small. It was a large enough queen size bed.
Unsure.
The staff was fabulous and willing to help in so many ways that it wouldn’t surprise me if they were to help with your request. Everyone at the hotel was really wonderful to work with.
