Prior to our stay my husband and I were having difficulty getting through to reservations so we call the front desk to ask for assistance for our upcoming stay. Jeffrey Griffen was terrific! He spent the time to review the rates and our options. I am Diamond member and the reservation was first made with my husband’s status as Gold. I am very loyal to Hilton and it’s people like Jeffery who keep me loyal. He helped us in choosing our reservation and we are looking forward to our stay this weekend.
This was our first trip since Covid. The hotel just reopened recently. Even though it was July 4th it was not fully booked. The hotel is not fully staffed yet but you would never know. Every single person we encountered was friendly, helpful, and nice. The hotel and our rooms were very clean. Due to Covid, you schedule when you want housekeeping to come. You also make reservations to use the pool for a two hour time slot. It was so nice cause the pool was not crowded and you actually got to enjoy your time in the pool. Housekeeping would do a wonderful job. We loved the room. We had a lake view room. Our room had two full bathrooms, one had a shower and the other had a tub/shower combo. It was awesome. We didn’t have to share with our teens and two people could get ready at once. The rooms are very spacious for a city hotel. The beds were very comfortable. The location is right on Michigan Ave down the street from Millenium Park. Everything was walkable. The restaurants are opening up again. We didn’t have a car and it was ok. We will definitely stay here again. We loved it.…
Needed directions and advice on places in Chicago and how to navigate the city. John K and Ricardo had incredible knowledge and filled my itinerary up completely. Aside from that they they offered me an awsom travel getaway to NYC. Now is not the right time, but I'll be back. Thank you guys, thank you Hilton! ✈️
This is a grand hotel right in Michigan Avenue in the heart of the Chicago Loop. You are in the middle of the action so expect things to be active, busy, and sometimes noisy. Proximity is the name of the game here. We had a convention here and I found all the hotel staff wonderful to work with. Anything I needed they were on top of it. Any questions I had were quickly answered. I mean what more can you ask for? My junior suite was spacious without being overwhelming. Everything was clean and working. The bed was comfortable and I got an excellent night’s sleep. If I had one complain it was the staffing level in the restaurants. They were not anywhere near equipped to handle the people so wait times were very long. We are elsewhere for those reasons. This is not a cheap hotel. So enjoy the luxury feel and expect to shell out cash for everything. Bellmen were great at their jobs and had a smile on their face always. Please tip them well as they work hard.…
Don’t stay here, apparently it’s Mexican Independence Day and there are constant horns blaring and loud motorcycles drag racing around the building for several hours, it’s 12:30 am and it’s just starting to quiet down a little. With headphones and pillows over my ears it’s still unbearable. Security says there is nothing they can do and front desk says there are no quiet rooms in the entire hotel, never again
Nice hotel. We were on an American Queen cruise. Easy walk to The Loop, Millennium Park, the Bean, and Grant Park. I felt safe expect on State Street. We took the Blue Line "L" from O'hare to Jackson Station for $5. each.
Excellent service! Rooms were extra clean, perfect location, staff was very courteous and all the amenities provided by the hotel. Business rooms were well equipped and upgraded. IT staff was ongoing and very serviceable when issues would come up.
Great location, clean & comfortable hotel, awesome staff. I checked in digitally but still went to the front desk to get a spare key. The guy at the front desk was very welcoming. The hotel is beautiful inside. It’s great to just walk around. The room was very clean and had an amazing view of the Willis (Sears) Tower. Great location: close to Soldier Field, the Art Institute, & Millennium Park. Across from Grant Park. All of the staff from front desk, bellmen, security, and housekeeping were courteous and professional.
The beds are much smaller than advertised and the staff kept saying that hotel sizes vary. Well their "queen" size bed is a full size. The room was dirty, and the Herb & Kitchen snack and coffee stand expects tips if you want to or not. Long lines. Tiny print on restaurant menu of 5 font. I have gotten better internet connection at motels and they will charge more for "premium " internet.
The hotel seriously needs a makeover. I felt I was in the the 70s. The elevators old and scruffy. Housekeeping is terrible. You have to warn them a day in advance - when you are on a trip, how do you remember this? I got personal texts every day, but when you mentioned the problem (A/c not working), we came back to a/c not working. They should really do a course in Service from an Asian hotel.
