I love a classic city hotel. The building and decor are impressive upon arrival. All of the public areas are well maintained and comfortable. Every associate we spoke with was personable and helpful. We were upgraded (Hilton Honors rate perk)to a junior suite on the 16th floor with fantastic lake views. The bed was very comfortable and the water pressure was impressive for a 16th floor location. Our housekeeper, Chandra, kept the room well supplied with towels and amenities. Kitty O’Sheas Pub was excellent for breakfast and dinner. Kate, Stance, and Ronan were outstanding servers and we really enjoyed the time they took to talk and laugh with us. Sam at reception made us feel welcome and explained all the rate info at check-in and provided our upgrade. John checked us out and took time to ask us about our visit and where we were headed next. Rupert at the door made sure we had a cab for the airport with plenty of time to spare. We have worked in resorts and can tell when people are truly invested in taking care of their guests. Thanks to everyone at the Chicago Hilton who made our stay memorable.

Hotel's Favorite
My family and I have stayed at 4 different Hilton hotels in Chicago and this by far is my favorite! The hotel is beautiful and staff is amazing and friendly. There is an Irish pub by the hotel lobby with great food and Guinness on tap. Oscar and Mike by the fitness/pool center go above and beyond to accommodate and make you feel welcomed. Facilities are top notch. If you are not a Hilton Honors member, you need too and won’t regret it. You get room upgrades and food/beverage credits, Hilton does it right to make you feel special! Can’t wait to go back.

Large bulking classic hotel. It was winter, foggy, not much of a view around. Convenient access to $70/night on-site parking. Consider nearby lower cost public parking lots. Friendly and skilled staff. Room felt just equal to the Hilton Hampton inn quality, nothing special, cookie cutter. Convenient on-site services and selection of restaurants. I love this hotel for a stay in Chicago the location is nice, close to museums, soldier field, millennium park and the loop. The hotel offers a lot. Big gym and pool area with hot tubs. Bar and restaurants on site. Loyalty as Hilton diamond was honored both stays with nice lake view upgrades. Unfortunately the Executive Lounge was closed after covid. Food at the restaurant was decent and drinks at the bar spendy but good.

I was shocked by how bad this hotel is, but I guess it's my mistake for judging a book by its cover. I assumed based on its location, history, architecture, grand entrance, and exorbitant pricing, that the hotel rooms would be at least better than the average off highway motel, but I was mistaken. The technology in the room was broken, many attempts at trying to get our luggage ended up costing me several dollars in room charges, the single thin, ratty, "blanket" was just a piece of a larger piece of fabric that was clumsily chopped off to make what appeared to be a duvet, the room was small and the view was terrible. In fact, most views in the hotel will be terrible because of its unique shape so consider this before assuming you'll be gazing at Millennium Park from your window. The staff was actually rather dismissive though not blatantly rude, they did seem overworked and uninterested in being helpful. The only reason I'm giving it two stars is because I've stayed in places that should have been condemned, hotels off of Daytona Beach that looked like many a crime had been committed in them yet few were cleaned up after and the stench was so thick the better option was sleeping on the beach. This hotel wasn't so bad that I'd rather sleep outside, but I would not pay more than $60 - $70 a night to stay there and would opt for just about anywhere else nearby.

The moment I entered Hilton Chicago, I knew this was the place for me. Their magnificent Christmas tree in the lobby and their incredible Gingerbread Display were SO BEAUTIFUL!!! I had arrived early and went to Kitty O’Sheas for a bite to eat. Service was excellent! Their corned beef sandwich, fries and soup were delicious!!! I also had to try their famous Hilton Holiday Cosmopolitan while there!!! Check-in was a breeze, everybody was SO friendly and welcoming!!! Brad, you are AMAZING, thank you!!! I then entered the Hallmark Holiday Suite for the next two days!!! UNBELIEVEABLE!!! I felt like I had just entered a Hallmark movie!!! Two bedrooms, four bathrooms, living room and dining room all spectacularly decorated for Christmas!!! Three huge Christmas trees, a life-sized Santa, all the life-sized reindeer, all the wrapped presents under the trees and spread throughout the rooms - everywhere… There were five TVs playing Hallmark movies, even two karaoke machines. This was all a Hallmark dream come true!!! Every window had a breathtaking view from the 24th floor – Lake Michigan, The Museum Campus, Navy Pier and the breathtaking sunrises each morning! Between the bottles of wine, the hot cocoa, the chocolates and snacks, the Santa hats, the softest, cozy plush Hallmark robes and slippers, there was no reason to ever leave!!! We even ordered a delicious pizza from Herb n’ Kitchen one night. Cruz from Housekeeping had knocked on the door to see if we needed anything at all. She was so friendly, warm and hospitable throughout the entire stay. I highly recommend this wonderful hotel and experiencing this once-in-a-lifetime suite. Brad (Front Desk) and Cruz (Housekeeping), you really made our stay even more special!!! I miss you both!!! My entire stay was very heartwarming, inspiring and so surreal. I still cannot believe I was actually there!!! Thank you Hilton Chicago and Hallmark for creating this very special memory that I will cherish and hold dear in my heart forever!!!

Exactly what you would expect of a big box hotel in a big city. Ok room, ok staff, ok amenities. I upgrade mine to a junior suite and I’m glad I did. It had a lovely view of the lake. Food was a bit of a disappointment, I had a drink at their Irish pub and no good food options, felt like a dive bar more than a Hotel bar.

Piss poor customer service. Here for a conferance that happens the same time every year. They send you e mails for their digital key. Get here, go to my room no key. Go to the desk get a different room assignement, Get a new room no functioning master light. Call desk get new light. upon check in request daily maid service. No daliy maid service they don't show up. Ask to have coffee for my room, no coffee delivered. Ridiculous. Nobody cares. I am fed up with Hiltons. And I am paying over 900 for a three day stay here.

Overall my sister and I had a wonderful experience at the Hilton Chicago this past weekend. Jennifer with in-house reservations as well as the gentleman who checked us in were exceptional (I don't recall the gentleman's name). Our room (2475) had two queen beds, two full bathrooms, and a spectacular view of Lake Michigan. While the room appeared to be recently refreshed, you could tell it had seen better days. The thermostat display was falling off the wall and some of the furniture was chipped. Provided the age of the hotel, we were overall impressed with the room. There are two main reasons I am giving this hotel four stars out of five. 1) the check-out experience could have been better. There was some confusion regarding the $25.00 destination fee and the Front Desk Agent was making her frustration known. 2) The service at Kitty O'Shea's the morning of 11/19 was a joke. We had a hard time finding a table as there were several tables that needed to be cleared. Once we found a spot, we waited 10+ minutes for a server to greet us. We ended up going to the Starbucks on-site.

The hotel needs remodeling. The house keeping service only comes two days even when I requested to have house keeping every day. The front desk was rushing for HHonor member. There are a few newer holtel right next to it.
