We booked the Wrigley without actually seeing the space. The location I knew and their interaction via email was good. The actual space is great. The accommodations are good. They really fall short on service once you arrive. We were told (in writing) that we would have maid service every day unless we did not want it. Well, no one came the entire time we were at the Wrigley. Also, there needed to be some maintenance to the space - lights out, toilet running and other minor maintenance things that seem normal care for a place you rent. Additionally, the Internet was down. We reached out to our designated contact several times - no response and on the last attempt his voice mailbox was full. We also reached out to the general number and left a voicemail - once again no response. Great location, good space but horrible customer service.

I thoroughly enjoyed the property itself. We were very close to the train station, gas station, food, and had parking available. The only problem we found was the automatic locking door would not let us in one night. Not sure if it needed to reset itself or what but we tried for an hour and could not get in, called the on-duty service person as well who did not get back to us until THE NEXT DAY! We ended up getting in after an hour of fooling around and desperation. Overall though great property for the price. Would stay there again.

I am so sorry that you experienced the issue with the automatic locking door. That is absolutely not acceptable. In addition, it is equally unacceptable that our staff did not get back to you right away to address the issue. I can assure you that we have corrected both issues and appreciate greatly you're feedback in order to make The INN at Wrigley Field the best possible experience for all our guests. We look forward to your next possible booking and are confident that you won't experience the same issues. Best regards, Thomas G.

Had a great time @ the Inn at Wrigley with 16 other friends over a weekend for three nights. We rented both the Homerun & Legends Suites and loved every minute of it. The location is amazing and will be even more amazing once Wrigley bleacher construction is complete. The train was a bit loud due to its proximity of the inn but its easily overlooked if you're not thinking about it.

Each suite was very modern and pretty nice! beds were comfortable and large. Some parts were a little banged up from other users not using diligence with moving chairs along the dinner table wall but nothing a little paint couldn't fix! Also, one shower drain was completely plugged but again, a little drano and its all good. I did not like having to provide more TP and paper towel though. We had 16 guys; you think 2 rolls of TP are gonna cut it over 4 days?

Its location is great; close to all Wrigley bars and convenience stores, not to mention the front porch and gated front patio were great to pre-game prior to hitting the Cubs game. The rooftop bar/ seats on top of the building got tiresome when people kept trying to get into the private gate where we were staying so we had to constantly point people in the right direction.

All in all, we loved it and had a blast! Nothing to complain about and no reason to all management as everything worked fine and would recommend this to anyone who are looking for a great home base to experience Chicago.

Whatever you do, DO NOT stay at The Inn at Wrigley Field. They are unprofessional, unresponsive, and do not provide what they promise.

We booked the Stadium Suite over Thanksgiving for a big family reunion and Thanksgiving dinner. One of the two toilets was broken and, more importantly, the refrigerator was broken. We were planning on cooking a huge Thanksgiving meal there (which they knew) and they never responded to any of our phone calls or emails about the broken toilet and fridge. We ended up having to toss over $800 in food (for example, we had special ordered stone crab for the occasion and they went bad) and the whole weekend was spoiled due to us having to shuttle back and forth between Bucktown and Lakeview to get dinner cooked.

I left voicemails and sent emails regarding the matter and, over one week later, still have not heard anything from them. It is incredibly unprofessional of them to not only provide the basic amenities promised on their website but to also avoid us completely during and after our stay.

There are plenty of great choices in Chicago for a stay. I can not emphasize enough how disappointing and terrible our experience has been with The Inn. I strongly advise spending your time and money elsewhere.

Good evening,

I am writing to submit a formal complaint for your legend suite at the wrigley field inn. I am with Tey Chatman's party (copied here), to celebrate her birthday and engagement.

Upon arrival at your facility, we were greeted with the cable not working, the elevator not working, and the water being shut off while we are here.

These are completely unacceptable items and should have been disclosed to Tey prior to arrival.

We cannot utilize the rooftop to take in the magnificent view, we cannot use the tv to catch up on our latest shows or show photos of tey, and we cannot utilize the water tomorrow while having a full house of girls.

As a professional event planner I would Not recommend this property to other guests based on our initial experience.

We truly expect you to make this situation right and will be urgently waiting for your contact. Please follow up with myself or Tey Asap.

Disappointed guest,

Alison Belzer

My family traveled all the way from austrailia to stay here during our wedding week. The actual apartment is clean and has modern furniture and fixtures, however we contacted the management was incredibly unresponsive the entire time. The wifi hardly worked, and when it did it was patchy. The cable was turned off once for 24 hours...and then when it miraculously turned back on it was spotty and well. The front gate doesn't lock so you only have your apt door as security. And again, the fact that we called a dozen or so times, and emailed event more, during the stay and after, and not one person responded to me or my family--just shows that their customers are NOT the priority.
Also, my family was woken every night because the rooms are underneath the red line train. You heard the train, and announcements all night long. Never again, and I would NEVER recommend this.

Hi Jessica, Our sincerest apologies for the inconvenience with the internet and cable. During your stay, we were working with our cable provider and technician to improve both of these services which resulted in the short window of disconnection. Although we did communicate with your group several times throughout your stay, we apologize for not meeting your expectations. Additionally, thank you for bringing the defective front gate lock to our attention. It has since been repaired and is functioning properly.

My lady friends rented the suite for a long weekend. Many of us ended up with what seemed to be bed bug issues. We also had the same door lock issues. Not fun drinking then having issues trying to access the unit. There is no front desk and no staff anywhere. It is basically exterior entrance and it sits below one of the Wrigley Rooftops. So when no baseball games NO staff anywhere which is obviously 2/3 of the year. Numerous drunks ring the doorbell all night. Definitely NOT for kids or anyone who desires to privacy and sense of security.

Our apologies for the apparent bed bug issues during your stay. We take great care in preventing bed bugs including mattress encasements, protectors, and routine checks by a certified bed bug specialist. Following your comment, we performed an emergency screening and we unable to find any evidence of bed bugs. Additionally, we ask that all guests ensure that the gate is closed and locked behind you so that no one other than guests of the Inn may enter the property, preventing disturbances to our guests.

A friend and I recently stayed in the Stadium Suite. Unfortunately, we had a horrible experience when trying to "check in" - we were given 2 access codes to gain entry; a code to unlock the outside gate and another to unlock the front door. We arrived very late at night (around 1:30am) after a long delayed flight from Los Angeles, and after hauling all our luggage through the rain to the entry gate, found that our code would not work.

My friend and I - two young women in an unfamiliar city, in the middle of the night, in a thunderstorm, with arms full of travel bags and suitcases - tried in vain for half an hour to get the gate to open while trying contact the The Inn at Wrigley Field for help, with no answer. Finally, my friend had to scale the fence to get in... at which point we learned that the key pad for the front door ALSO WOULD NOT WORK. This time, it was clear what the problem was: the keypad is an electronic touch screen (like an iphone), and it was completely malfunctioning. The screen would flicker, freeze and shut off haphazardly as we desperately tried to punch in the code. After another half an hour, by some miracle of god, it finally worked. We dragged our soaking wet selves inside and breathed a sigh of relief, looked around, acknowledged what a beautiful and fabulous place it is, and then went to the window to look out at the incredible view of Wrigley Field right across the street. The second I grasped the chord to lift the window's drapes, THE ENTIRE THING FELL OFF THE WALL - curtain rod, drape, etc. - hitting me directly on the head. It was literally the perfect horrible ending to the hellish nightmare that was checking in to our room.

All our calls to the hotel went unanswered that night, and after we finally gained entry I sent an email to let them know about the ordeal we'd had. I did receive a very nice and apologetic email from Kylene early the next morning with an offer to comp us 4 tickets to Wrigley Rooftops (the seats on the roof of the building) for the Cubs game that afternoon, which we appreciated but did not take her up on. We spent the morning watching group after group of Cubs fans arrive to access the Wrigley Rooftops and struggle with the key pads at the gates. (Different gates than ours... we weren't watching them struggle while refusing to help them get in, just to be clear!) :) Eventually someone arrived to help and ultimately ended up having to use tape and bungee chords to keep them all partially propped open.

What a ridiculous situation; an incredible place in an unbeatable location unfortunately means nothing when you CAN'T. GET. INSIDE.

We spent 6 nights in the Grand Slam Suite.

Pros: Great location (both for Wrigley Field and the train as well as a Whole Foods within a 5 minute walk), extremely comfy beds and nice bed linen, very spacious and bright, staff (other than housekeeping) were pleasant and responsive (Kylene dealt with a few issues/questions we had during our stay), good, free wifi, loads of cupboard space to hang clothes etc, massive washer and dryer. We were travelling with 3 kids and a lot of luggage so these things were important.

Cons: Difficult (or too easy) to access - the outside gate didn't seem to work properly so we got through that no problem but then the lockbox with the housekey didn't work properly - the only reason we got in was because an employee happened to be passing), woeful/rude housekeeping service, basics missing in what appears to be a beautifully equipped kitchen (no toaster or cooking utensils, no bottle opener although we bought one and left it), missing bulbs in lamps, bathroom tap broken, neither television worked on our arrival (one was fixed the next day at our request; the other didn't work at all - we were not bothered as the other one was fine) and no washing powder provided.

We wouldn't have been so irked about some of these things if it hadn't been so expensive (or the website/information sheet in the suite hadn't said we should expect certain things). Our kids had a great time and although overall we thought it was fun and OK, next time we would stay nearer town and get the train. More suitable for a group of adults who only plan to use the place as a base to get to the game and plan to eat out all the time.

A number of the issues we had should be easy fixes for the owners/managers though.

We stayed here for a long weekend and we're just amazed at how lovely this booking was. Talk about spacious! Incredibly comfortable and the location simply could not be better near Wrigley Field and next to the train station. If there was any kind of negative, it's that there are no parking spots associated with this rental. There is, however, a public enclosed parking lot about 1-2 blocks away. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

"This isn't a great place to stay if you're looking for quality sleep; obviously the stadium is across the street so it would be unfair to complain about any Wrigley-related noise, but what we didn't realize was that the Red Line Train tracks run along the back of the building. The trains run throughout the night and are pretty impossible to ignore, although the sound itself isn't that irritating in my opinion -- sort of like a heavy wind blowing through."
