Hampton Majestic had a great location. Easy walk to Art Institute, Millennium Park, Grant Park. Easy access to CTA. Short walk to Chicago River/Riverwalk area. Comfy beds. Quiet rooms. Very welcoming, friendly staff. Robyn at the front desk was especially welcoming and friendly. She also gave us great tips on restaurants and how to get to Wrigley Field by public transit. Ismeta made daily breakfast a wonderful experience. She treated every guest like they were family. She provided an unparalleled level of service.
We had a great stay here! The hotel is located in a beautiful older building, and they've done a great job allowing you to see parts of the old building while the hotel itself is current. Our room with two queens wasn't huge, but it was larger than some we've had inside a city. We slept well, but we were also quite tired from lots of walking around the beautiful city of Chicago! The hotel's location was perfect for our touring around Chicago - we were able to walk to Millenium Park, the river and riverwalk, and it would be super close to theaters when they're available again! It was also just a short walk to a transit station. The hotel's parking garage partner was also very close and we were able to get into our vehicle during our stay (we didn't drive anywhere during our stay). While we didn't venture out too late at night, we got back to our room by 10ish each night and felt safe the entire time (using basic good sense, of course). The free breakfast was full and had good variety, but it did get busy with other guests and it was challenging to find a table or try to figure out a way to carry everything back to our room, ha! The staff was very busy filling everything (despite having to clean up after inconsiderate guests... I'm looking at you, lady who spilled your orange juice and then just walked away from it!), though, so we enjoyed our breakfast. Overall, our time at this Hampton Inn was lovely and we would enjoy staying again!…
The location of the hotel was great for exploring the city by foot. The staff made everything easy. Front desk people, Ray at the door, Ismeta at breakfast, and Cynthia cleaning the room all helped our stay be better. Late checkout and luggage storage made our last day comfortable. Clean, comfy rooms.
Wonderful stay, very nice room, and a super fantastic staff. The front desk staff, (including Terry), was very kind and helpful! The breakfast station was excellent hosted by the very sweet and caring Ismeta was fantastic and a treat as she made sure my wife and I had everything we needed in addition to insisting on preparing our waffles each day. The BEST part was the friendship made by our valet, Ray, who went above and beyond to make sure our car was out front and ready whenever I needed it...but the friendship we made was priceless and I will stay at this hotel the next time I'm in Chicago just because of his kindness, caring, and doing whatever he could to take care of us and make us feel welcome!
Situated in the center of the theater district, the Majestic is an impressive hotel filled with class and elegance. The staff went over and beyond to do anything and everything to make my stay more pleasant
The hotel was so centrally located for our visit to Chicago - right off Blue line train from airport . Staff were very friendly - especially Ismeta who was so helpful and cheerful also Robyn. Hot breakfast was the main reason why we booked - and was great.
We had four great nights in the Art Deco Hampton Majestic hotel , centrally located in Chicago . The lady running the breakfast , her name was Ismeta was an absolute star ! Very friendly , efficient and made great waffles ! Thankyou !
I stayed at Hampton Majestic as part of an Amtrak Vacations package. The property is close to Union Station, not flashy but attractive, and well maintained. The room was attractive, clean, and equipped with all the features that I needed. The bathroom was modestly sized but very handsome with the best stall shower I have ever found in a hotel. Check-in was quick with the front desk staff genuinely happy to greet me. Ray, the doorman, was the soul of courtesy and attention to my needs. Ismetia (sp?), who handles the breakfast service, was friendly and made sure everyone found the food items they desired. Altogether, Hampton Majestic should be the example-setter for the whole chain. I will happily return.
Everyone was great, especially the bubbly Ismeta, who was in charge of breakfast. She went out of her way to be helpful and make sure we had what we wanted. Super start to our day! The manager on duty was also helpful with options for us when checkout is at noon and our train wasn't until 9 that night. Highly recommend the Hampton Majestic!
I do not often give reviews but I am moved to give this because of the type of reception we had. From the time we arrived, the staff were exceptionally welcoming . Hotel was clean, there was no sitting out area but then ,it's Chicago city center . The breakfast was very good and breakfast lady Ismeta was so nice, making food for everyone with so much smile. The room we were given was a bit damped, I guessed it was water coming from the fridge. We were moved right away to another room when we mentioned the dampness. The hotel was close to everything, my conference venue was 12mins a Walk, millennium park 4mins walk . Overall good experience.
