First visit to Chicago. I will be coming back frequently to visit my son. Started scouting out places with the Langham. I will not need to look further. It’s perfect. It’s a beautiful mid century modern building. The views are over the top spectacular. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. The bed was heaven. Highly recommend upgrading or purchasing access to the Club Room for delicious food throughout the day. The location cannot be beat. Best of all is the staff. Every single one was delightful. A special thank you to Hannah in Guest Services. So helpful. So kind. Another thank you to Trinity for some tech help. And one more to Claire in Engineering. Looking forward to more time at my new home away from home.

We got away with our 4 year old little guy to go to the museums downtown and stay at the Langham. The service was both perfectly professional and relaxed. It never felt too stuffy and was spot on. The hotel could use a bit of a facelift, i.e., some cloudy hallway mirrors, worn beverage service desks and the pool area though fun with the twinkly lights above it looks like it needs refinishing (including new metal drapes). The fitness center met expectations and is on the same floor as the Chuan Spa and the pool. The layout of the bathroom in the basic room is perfect with a child. The tub and shower are separate and enclosed in the same space with optional privacy glass. Water can get everywhere without a worry! Bottom line, we love the location and service but the price of the rooms could easily be $100-$200 less for the quality of the space.

The service was absolutely impeccable! From the moment we pulled up to the valet to the day of checkout! First Class Service! You definitely get what you paid for AND more!! The staff, were nothing short of amazing in their service and did everything to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The Valet guys were our first point of contact and totally set the stage for our stay!
The bed was so comfortable it felt like I was at home! The room was impeccably clean and spacious! I travel a lot for my job and The Langham Chicago Club level is by FAR the best experience and is in a league of its own!
Nikki (Nicola) Director of Club Lounge was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable and went out of her way to accommodate us. Nikki ensured that our stay was a weekend of luxury and both her and her staff (Bevel and Nicole) catered to our every whim from going from the 12th floor club lounge to the 2nd floor bar just to get us our favorite drinks (Shirley Temple!) to delivering Belgian chocolates and drinks to our room as a surprise anniversary gift! After coming in from a late night out, we were surprised to find our room cleaned, our bathrobes were put out, bed slippers were put on either side of our bed, dim lights set and classical music on low. We also ordered late night room service (10.45pm) and they came with the food and a table, set the table as though we were in a restaurant! Private dining at its best! I also noticed how Nikki and the butler service paid very close attention to detail without overwhelming you with their presence. I was impressed with how they remembered the names of returning guests! Nicole even remembered my favorite breakfast drink and had it on the table for me before I even got to my seat! Phillipe from the 2nd foot concierge was very knowledgeable about the area and helpful! Bevel was such a warm gentleman and ensured that we continued to receive the first class experience, right up until the moment we departed and even included a few complimentary extras! This TOTALLY made our anniversary weekend one to remember! My husband and I agreed that The Langham Chicago Club Level will be our spot whenever we visit this beautiful city! Please pay the extra for the Club level experience! It’s well worth the dollars! You will not regret it!

The service is generally impeccable. I've stayed there numerous times and love it. However, my pet peeve, which I've voiced to staff, is that none of the scales in the guest rooms, nor the scales in the gym locker room, work. Not once in 4+ years have I stepped on a scale and have it work! Either change the batteries, get new scales, or simply remove the scales. If something is presented as an amenity at a 5-star, I expect it to work!

I decided to treat my sister to a quick weekend getaway to Chicago as neither of us had ever been to this city before. The weekend we visited was right when their restaurant/bars shut back down for indoor dining. Despite the shutdown The Langham did offer room service or food to go from their restaurant. The Langham staff took proper precautions during this time of Covid by taking temperature checks, ensuring mask were worn, and providing hand sanitizer around the hotel. This hotel is in a great location. It's within walking distance of the famed 'Magnificent Mile', shopping, and the Riverwalk. Back to the room service... the food and service were great. A little pricey, but expected. The room was as described, looks just like the website. I thought the water carton that was provided to guest was cute and it's in their signature pink color. Overall, our stay at this hotel was pleasant. The staff were friendly and accommodating.

We felt as safe as being at home and pampered beyond belief. This may be the finest experience in Chicago. If you want to splurge this is the spot with Chicago River views The river walk is outside the door. It was a great value for the investment! We often stay at The Four Seasons around the world and this is at that level of comfort, staff, service, location, without being snobbish. Just a real treat and the dining is amazing. The suite had every electronic device possible. Many fine hotels are just OLD...this one is NOT.

This is rated as a 4 Diamond AAA hotel. I have stayed at many 4 and 5 Diamond AAA hotels and resorts. The Langham was just ok. I question the 4 diamond rating when compared to others. Customer service was poor. Nobody offered to take our luggage or even show us to our room. Generally the bellman will take your luggage and take you to your room and go over the amenities. I had no idea where to get ice. The security is poor. Anybody can enter the building and go up to the guest rooms up until 10pm.
The hotel lobby was small and cold. The room was clean but lacked cabinet space.
The valet service and people were great. The staff at the restaurant were also extremely friendly.
Overall, we were disappointed that The Langham was not even close to living up to its #1 rating.

Was really excited to stay at the Langham based off social media reviews (mainly influencers on instagram, i know 😑). But the stay was just okay. We booked 3 rooms for our big family and there were a few inconsistencies on the room amenities. Our room didnt have the toiletries and another room didnt have the pens/notepads the other rooms had, our room door bell and television mirror in the bathroom not working (or maybe we just didnt know how to work it?). Not huge deal breakers, but for the price of the hotel we expected top notch amenities.
The crew were awesome though, requested a few extra towels and toiletries 2 different times and received it right away. And the guy in the pool, I think his name was Bart was awesome bringing in pool floaties and toys for our toddler to play with.
We also asked for any birthday perks upon check in, got told we can have a “birthday dessert” and didnt get it. As for children amenities, we got the teepee we requested during booking and kids bath robe and slippers, but that was about it, no other children amenities that their influencers in Instagram feature. Again not huge deal breakers as its in the hotels discretion if they would provide it, but would love not to be swayed to book here by extra perks influencers show in social media and not get as actual paying costumers.
Overall, location was perfect, the people were great. A little overpriced and just had to lower our expectations a little bit.

This is my new favorite hotel in Chicago!!!! We stayed here for our anniversary and everything was incredible. The moment you walk into check in, they make you feel special and have super safe COVID protocols with temperature checks, masks on, etc. Our river view one bedroom suite was beautiful, spacious and sparkling clean. Floor to ceiling windows of the river were amazing. The bathroom felt like a spa with the rain shower and oversized marble tub. The bed is so comfortable and we slept like babies. Also loved the hotel bar- Travelle. The bar has pretty river views and quick drink/food service. We especially enjoyed the hotel pool/gym and the delicious breakfast room service. The pool could’ve been 5-10 degrees warmer, but we still had a nice time and limited occupancy which made it feel safer. Looking forward to when the hot tub is operating again. Already planning our next trip back!!

I have stayed in at the Langham Chicago twice before. The product is stunning and the level of cleanliness in the guest rooms is always very high. This last stay was during the tough beginning of restrictions around the virus. The hotel handled it very well and I had multiple requests due to continuous flight changes due to cancelleations. All dealt with very efficiently. Special thanks to Gloria, Kat, David and Thomas in the Front Office for all their hard work in and support.

The pool was not open when we were there. It was closed for renovations. Guests were allowed to use the pool at Trump Towers across the street however.
Yes I think so.. The bathroom is spectacular
We stayed in a suite that did not have a steam feature, but was spectacular anyway.
I would advise taking a taxing or Uber to the airport. Not sure about the blue line.
It is several blocks away to Ogilvie train station.. Not sure about getting to that station from the airport.
