Nestled on Chicago's Navy Pier, the Sable at Navy Pier Chicago, Curio Collection by Hilton, earns high marks for its attentive service and spotless accommodations. Guests are captivated by the hotel's serene atmosphere and modern rooms, though some have pointed out noise concerns. While the location offers stunning views and easy access to attractions, it's worth noting that the cost, including parking and various fees, can add up. Despite its higher price point, the hotel's amenities and cleanliness make it a popular choice among travelers.

Visited Chicago with my husband for a long sightseeing weekend over Juneteenth. Sable is an excellent hotel and a good base for a Chicago city break. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with great bathrooms.
It’s not cheap to stay here but you’re paying for the incredible view across the lake and Chicago skyline - and it’s worth it. Watching the fireworks over Navy Pier on Saturday night from our window was a highlight of our trip.
We really enjoyed breakfast at LĂrica every morning. The food was tasty and the staff friendly.
There are some teething problems with the hotel. Some areas appear unfinished and there is a lack of signage to tell you where to go. The elevator broke a couple of times during our stay.
The main issue we encountered was with housekeeping. They cleaned our room a little too well and took my earplugs from my bedside table, presumably throwing them in the trash. No idea why they did this as they left my husband’s untouched on his side. I always sleep with earplug when travelling so knew I’d be in for a sleepless night without them. I called the front desk but amazingly, after searching for half an hour, they couldn’t find replacement earplugs for me anywhere in the hotel. This was really disappointing for such an expensive hotel of this standard. I was extremely grateful to Guest Services Manager, Mayte, who went above and beyond to rectify the issue by travelling to the nearest pharmacy to get me some earplugs. Mayte was apologetic on behalf of housekeeping, genuine in her concern, and is a fantastic asset to the hotel.
All in all and in spite of a few issues, Sable deserves a 5/5 rating for its style, location, and service.

We checked in to The Sable on a very busy weekend with Taylor Swift concerts at Soldier Field Friday, Saturday, and Sunday as well as a huge medical conference at McCormick Place. All hotels in the area were sold out. Despite the above, the front staff at The Sable were beyond welcoming, pleasant, and accommodating, especially Mayte Martinez, Guest Service Manager. I had a reservation for two rooms. She accommodated all my requests for room location and proximity to each other. She truly values the guest. Add to that, the location of the hotel is fabulous. The lake views are as stated, amazing with floor to ceiling windows. You can walk to just about anywhere if you are a walker. Walk to Oak Street beach, the Apple Store and others on Michigan Avenue, Millennial Park, The Art Institute, etc. I've been to Chicago many times but never stayed on Navy Pier. We will return to The Sable. BTW. Lake boat tours leave straight from the dock and summer fireworks can be viewed from rooms or pier.

I was so impressed with this hotel! I stayed here from July 14 to July 17. From the time that I checked in until I left I was amazed at how friendly and professioal all of the employees were with me. The gentleman at the front desk was so nice! I chose the hotel due to the views. Many stay at VRBO or other / however, I chose this hotel for the views! Seeing the sea gulls swoop down in front of my window every day and having the beutiful view of Lake Michigan was so worth the price! The hotel was very clean, but I wish that carpet was not installed because I am sure it will become worn and stained over time - I am not sure if it had to be installed for falls precautions or other reason - but this was my only complaint! The shower was very safe and appeared to be slip free! Nice size bathroom. I loved that I could walk outside OR through the air conditioned building to get to and from the hotel to any restaurant or store on the pier. I came here for photography opportunities and bike rental. I rented a bike from Bike and Roll - the South Lakefront Trail was the best! I have been to Chicago many times and recommend the Navy Pier location and Sable Hotel becuase there is so much to on and near the beatiful pier!

Definitely a hotel for tourists, that goes right along with Navy Pier. There are plenty of places to eat at Pier during business hours and vending machines along the walk of the inside Pier that are pricey. You do have walking distance to the CTA buses, ride share and or paying a lot to valet/self park per night. If you are in to partying late night this is not the location for you, once the Pier closes for the night there is nothing to do on site.

The hotel itself is average, long hallways, long walks to get to elevator especially the last one. On the floors hallway is long, kind of creepy at night when walking to rooms. The rooms are simple, nothing major stands out in the room, yes you do have the view of the water but that’s about it. The bed was very uncomfortable. The bathroom was nice and modern. The floors creek loudly in hallways and rooms cause of the fake wood floors and you could hear the person above and below easily. The restaurant is limited and very pricey, they do have a coffee shop in lobby by the entrance. Overall wasn’t impressed.

Horrible experience!
Overrated hotel that does not deserve 4*!
I can't understand the reviews because the price of the rooms is exorbitant and it's very easy to find much better in Chicago...
The list of surprises is long:
- The buildings, even if located on the Pier, have a very beautiful view, resemble a covered parking lot, most of the ground floors are not rented to businesses and are closed by wooden cladding.
- The rooms are small and have nothing of a 4* quality, they barely resemble Mercures.
- The welcome is deplorable, and when we met the manager, she almost put us in the wrong by telling us to look elsewhere (we had booked 3 nights for almost $1400).
- The best joke was the included breakfast… To be taken in the restaurant under faulty air conditioning making a hell of a noise… Besides, often empty we asked to be moved to which we were told that everything was reserved… Me I am Peter Pan...
Breakfast, let's talk about it, the choice between 2 obligatory juices, 3 dishes, but… with coffee extra! (Invoice available in support).
We left on the last day like nothing...
In short… Flee this type of hotel which does not deserve this standard, look in Chicago.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sable Hotel on Navy Pier. Some highlights are the views from the rooms of Lake Michigan. There is a separate alcove in the room, where one can recline and just enjoy watching the lake. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was beautiful with a spacious shower. The design is modern and unpretentious. The location is a bit of a walk from Michigan Avenue but it’s extremely quiet here and very relaxing. The team is very friendly and we had a delicious breakfast at Lirica restaurant. I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends and family who are visiting. There is parking close by if your garage. It’s pricey, but very convenient to save money one could always use public transit.

Our stay at the Sable was great and problem-free. The hotel is great for families and the staff was amazing. I requested daily housekeeping during our stay, and every day our room was vacuumed (a huge plus for families with younger kids who make crumbs). The location is excellent for doing anything downtown. And as an added bonus, we enjoyed two evenings of fireworks during our stay from the comfort of our room (6230). The only negative were the restaurants at Navy Pier aren’t great, although this isn’t the hotel’s fault. While convenient for a quick meal, the overall quality was lacking. I would still stay at the Sable again though.

It's always a treat to stay at the Chicago Sable on Navy Pier. The views from the rooms are truly magnificent. When we were there in June to celebrate my birthday, the beautiful sunny forecast was a bit dimmed by the thick smoke from the Canadian wildfires, but it did not diminish the amazing view of the lake and boats from our room. The hotel and rooms are always impeccably clean and well cared for. The nautical ship theme of the interior design is so classy and unique. If your are there on Wednesday's in the Summer you can see the fireworks directly from your room or at any of the wonderful spots to hang out along the Navy Pier. If you have children, they might enjoy watching the tall ship and the dinner tour cruise boats that are moored just outside the windows! Parking is expensive like anywhere in Chicago but an added perk of the Sable is you can either valet park or self park in the attached garage and it's short walk to the elevator for your room. We usually park the car when we get there and then easily Uber or walk wherever we are going in town. Beds were comfy, and room was quiet when it needed to be. Above all, I want to give a shout out to Darion at the front desk for his truly congenial, welcoming hospitality during our entire stay. He really is such an asset to this location in the way he provides customer connection and service! Thank you so very much for such a wonderful stay!

This is my first time in chicago and I came as a solo trip to celebrate my birthday all i can say is, This stay has truly been one of the best I’ve ever experienced! The staff has been incredible—attentive to every need and always eager to help. The rooms are spotless, with individual climate control for added comfort. You can even message the staff with any question, hotel-related or not, and they’ll respond in under a minute. I asked about the best pizza in Chicago, and they didn’t disappoint!

Right outside the hotel, you’ll find so much to do—river cruises, speedboat rides, the Ferris wheel, and museums. You can wake up to a stunning sunrise, capture breathtaking sunset shots, and take amazing photos of the Chicago skyline, all without crowds of tourists. I truly felt at home here, and I owe it all to the wonderful staff. Thank you!

Like staying on a cruise ship! We arrived early six hours ahead of check-in, but I was able to check into the room for a fee of $50.00. The hotel check-in staff were very friendly even though they were a bit busy. They acknowelged us as we came up to the desk with a friendly greeting and attended to us as soon as they could. The concierge, Hima, asked if we were celebrating any occasions (which was our anniversary). We ended up on the top floor facing the lake (where we could watch the Saturday night fireworks). The room had floor to ceiling windows and a pushout with a chaise lounge bench for two. It was great to ship/people watch. We took a ride share from the airport to the hotel which has a special entrance beyond the entrance of Navy Pier. The Navy Pier has ongoing construction of several hallways that connect the hotel with the Navy Pier businesses. I shopped hotel prices and found this hotel to be in the middle of the price ranges. I was very happy with my stay. Ms. Hima texted me daily to see if I needed anything from the front desk. She was so very attentive. Also had great conversation with the bellman "Earnest". He stowed our luggage upon checkout so we could site see before our flight. This vacation was planned as a relaxing weekend, but it was so much going on at the Pier that it turned into amusement vacation.

Best to check with the front desk. The hotel is connected internally (by interior walkway) to the rest of the Pier -- so there are places to get water. I don't know that there are specific dispensers -- for example, an actual dispenser where you can refill a water bottle. That said, the front desk at the hotel is extremely helpful and I'm sure they can provide guidance.
