This was my birthday stay-cation!! The staff was excellent and the service was exceptional!! I was accommodated with a special room because it was my birthday and I was spending it alone. Kudos to the Manager who gave me options to suit my needs. I will continue to book at the Swiss!!!! My favorite hotel in downtown Chicago!!!

As a seasoned traveler, I understand that occasional hiccups can happen during hotel stays. However, my recent experience at Swissotel in Chicago has compelled me to share a cautionary tale about unresolved billing issues that have left me both frustrated and disappointed. During my stay, I encountered an inexplicable billing error - valet charges added to my bill, despite the fact that I did not use a car during my visit. What followed was a month-long ordeal of trying to get this issue resolved, which included: • Multiple Calls to the Front Desk: Despite several calls and two messages left for the accounting department, there was a complete lack of response. • Unfulfilled Promises: A conversation with a staff member, Kia, led to a promise of a return call that never materialized. Similarly, the valet supervisor's assurance of addressing the issue with the hotel led nowhere. • No Resolution in Sight: As of now, the valet charges remain on my bill, with no credit issued or acknowledgment of the error. This experience has been disheartening. Not only because of the financial aspect but also due to the lack of communication and customer care. It's disappointing to see a reputable establishment like Swissotel Hotel handle a straightforward billing issue in such a manner. For fellow travelers, my advice is to be vigilant about reviewing your bills and be prepared for a potential lack of responsiveness if issues arise. I had expected a higher standard of service from Swissôtel and hope that future guests do not encounter similar frustrations. …

Spent 5 nights here during thanksgiving week. We knew the location was great but we were pleasantly surprised about everything else about the hotel. Starting from the friendliness at the desk with Daisy all the way to the breakfast staff with Alejandra, Adrian and Mario. The staff is not only attentive to every detail, but they are also very cordial. We ate breakfast at the hotel everyday and it was absolutely amazing. Best breakfast sandwich you can have and the croissants are some of the best we have had in the US. Will definitely be back !

If I could give this hotel a 0 rating I would . What started as a beautiful trip for my husband and I ended horribly. We booked and paid using Priceline . Yet when we got there we were charged again on our debit card . My husband talked to several people who were supposed to be “ Manager’s about the issues and they kept passing him around to several people until Finally he was passed to a female African American . I am only describing her because he did not get her name but she worked there on this Sunday morning and she was rude , ignorant and downright nasty . At one point she told my husband you are not our client you are Priceline’s client and you need to deal with them not us and said we are done here and called security. We have never been so insulted at supposed top rated hotel before . No one tried to help us with this problem except for Bailey Roberts who was the security guard she called on my husband . We were not only charged by Priceline but also this hotel! And none in management even attempted to resolve this issue . I will never patronize this establishment again and urge others to avoid it as well !…

A really nice hotel with outstanding attention for a special occasion. The views were were terrific on the higher floors. The room accommodations were excellent. And Bernard at the front desk was very friendly and knowledgeable, and gave some great advice.

Needed to take a minute to acknowledge an outstanding employee, Lashondra Jones! I was presenting at a conference being held at the hotel and was given instructions to use the Valet service which would expeditiously take my car. Unfortunately, the valet was already full and Ms. Jones explained the safety concern and fire code rules. While I completely understood, I still did not have a place to park and was frustrated. Ms. Jones was so polite and understanding and even joked a little about the day which immediately calmed my frustration. She could have continued to turn me away, but instead she figured out a way to secure my car on the property so that I could get to my presentation to 100+ attendees. I cannot thank Ms. Jones enough and believe you have a truly dedicated employee at Swissotel Chicago. It's not always about accommodations, although your lobby is magnificent, but rather the people that make the difference. Way to go Lashondra!…

The view of the lake was beautiful. The room was great and so was the staff. Cedric handled our car valet service. He was just perfect. The hotel is well situated on the river and next to Millenial Park. There are lots of restaurants, bars and attractions within easy walking distance. We have stayed here before and will definitely come back.

Garage was full because of a conference but Larry, Cedric and Lashranda took care of my family and I quickly! The entire staff we encountered at the hotel was helpful and kind. This was our first time at Swissotel but we'll be back!
